Jesse Williams Ordered To Pay More In New Spousal Support Agreement

January 19, 2018  |

Jesse Williams and his divorce from his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee lends new credence to the adage, “It’s cheaper to keep her.” After their initial spousal support agreement, the former couple are back in court with Williams having to pay even more money.

A judge ordered that Williams go from paying $33k to over $50k each month.

The new ruling comes after Drake-Lee asked the court for an increase based on Williams’ ability to pay. The two came up with an agreement together and a judge approved it. The new monthly payment is $50,695 a month.

Under this new order, Drake-Lee is also responsible for paying all mortgage obligations and other costs associated with the family home.

In addition to the monthly figure, Drake-Lee will also receive half of Williams’ residuals from the Sept. 2012-April 2017 episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy” and other projects.

Williams is also responsible for paying Drake-Lee a $50,000 advance for her attorney fees related to their divorce proceedings.

While things have definitely calmed down and seem to have settled, we’re sure, based on their history, that there will be more news from these two before it’s all said and done. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
