Carl Franklin – “13 Reasons Why” (Tape 5, Side B)

Carl Franklin does it all, having acted for years before transitioning into film directing, most notably 1995’s “Devil in a Blue Dress.” Franklin also has a number of directorial TV credits under his belt, including “Homeland,” “House of Cards,” and “The Leftovers.” He’s nominated this year for his direction of an episode of the Neflix teen mystery “13 Reasons Why.”
