Mariah Carey will have the opportunity to redeem herself from last year’s disastrous performance on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017.
Last New Year’s Eve, the “We Belong Together” singer’s performance was a cringe-worthy, as she battled with the pre-recorded tracks playing. She gave up at one point and just let the songs play. The 47-year-old singer went on to later say that she was “mortified” by the whole mishap.
“We can all agree that last year didn’t go exactly as planned and we are thrilled to move forward together to provide America with an incredible night of music and celebration on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2018,” read a statement released by Carey and Dick Clark Productions.
MiMi announced on her Instagram she will be returning to the stage for “take 2.”
Tune in to ABC at 8 pm to kick off your New Year’s Eve and see how Carey does for her do-over.
