Did You Catch Beyoncé’s Hairstylist Shutting Down The Myth Black Women Wear Weaves Because We Can’t Grow Hair?

We’re a little tardy seeing this, but it’s never too late for the truth. And that is exactly what Neal Farinah was speaking when he talked about people criticizing Black women’s choice to wear wigs, weaves, and extensions.

“Sometimes women make choices and Black women are not the only ones who wear wigs and weaves and pieces, remember that,” Farinah says in the video below. “And underneath wigs and weaves, Black women have some of the most beautiful curly hair. It’s a choice one makes.”

Farinah went on to say when it comes to “the myth about Black women not having hair — Y’all think again ‘cuz you have some of the most beautiful texture hair. Recognize.”

We know. But it never hurts to be reminded. Farinah’s A-list client was definitely proof of that sentiment this weekend when her natural hair had the internet going nuts. Mama Tina posted a photo showing off her oldest daughter’s luscious ponytail saying she was so happy her baby’s hair grew back.

So now we all know underneath Beyonce’s inches is a head full of beautiful textured hair, just like Farinah said.
