LeToya Luckett And Tommicus Walker’s Wedding Film Is Here And It Has Us Deep In Our Feelings
LeToya Luckett and her new husband, Tommicus Walker, tied the knot on December 10 in Austin, Texas at the Villa Antonia in front of their family and friends (including the likes of Michelle Williams, Ludacris and Eudoxie Bridges and Tank). We already knew the wedding was a pretty lavish event based on the two gowns the bride wore for the big day (Vera Wang and custom Michael Costello). But after watching the newly-released wedding film of their day, we now wish we would have received an invite. Just beaut-i-ful.
The idea of a “wedding film” might sound dramatic, but there’s no doubt that that’s what it is. Their special day was captured in a 24-minute video that featured a very thematic intro (with music from The Sound of Music) and a behind-the-scenes look at how everything came together. We got to watch the couple exchange some emotional vows, with Luckett in tears as she told Walker, “At times I felt overlooked, picked over and dismissed. But now I know that like Adam, God made everyone else unconscious while he was molding me into the woman I was called to be to love you.”
We also saw the pair take their wedding photographs, eat cake and be merry, and dance the night away with their loved ones while stealing kisses. And there were also well-wishes from Luckett’s celebrity friends (including a hilarious rendition of Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love” from Tank).
There was a lot of humor, a lot of faith, a lot of happy tears, and definitely, a lot of love in the film. Check it out for yourself below and prepare to get all of the warm fuzzies:
