Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story really does seem like a whirlwind romance, with the couple’s engagement, wedding date, and engagement photos all coming to the public in just one month’s time.

On November 27, official notice went out declaring the Prince and the American actress engaged to be wed and not long after it was announced that the pair would marry on May 19, 2018. Now Kensington Palace has released two official engagement photos of the couple looking beyond happy in love.

The portraits were captured by famed photographer Alexi Lubomirski who shared a third engagement image on his Instagram page, thanking “His Royal Highness Prince Harry and Ms Markle” for allowing him to take their official engagement portraits. “Not only was it an incredible honour, but also an immense privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for each other,” he wrote. “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took.”

While the Prince and his lady haven’t spoken publicly about their pending nuptials, Meghan did open up about their relationship just a bit in the October issue of Vanity Fair, saying, “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
