(Chicago Sun Times) — Online advertised job vacancies spiked 33 percent in Illinois in April from a year earlier to 159,900 and rose 8.2 percent from March, according to the latest report from the Conference Board.
Nationally, they surged 31 percent year-over-year and rose 5.7 percent from March. Over the past six months, online advertised job openings have spiked 27 percent, evidence of a strengthening economy.
