A Texas woman has been indicted by a grand jury for sending homemade bombs to President Barack Obama when he was in office in 2016 and Texas Governor Greg Abbott, according to reports.

Julia Poff, 46, was busted due to forensic evidence found on the bombs and their packaging.  Not only were there traces of an old shipping label with her name and address, but police were also able to trace the cigarette box used to make the bomb to the Texas store where she purchased it.

Poff is facing six charges, including transporting explosives with the intent to kill and injure. If convicted, she could spend the rest of her life in prison.

Authorities were able to nab her for the bomb she sent to Obama due to the traces of cat hair that matched the hair on her pet cats in her home. Poff was known not to like 44, according to a federal agent.

Governor Abbott opened his package, but because he “did not open it as designed” he was not injured. Obama’s package didn’t make it pass the mail screening.

Poff also mailed explosives to the commissioner of the Social Security Administration in Gwynn Oak, MD. Poff applied for Social Security benefits and was denied, according to court records.

A pretrial conference will be held in early 2018. Poff is currently being held at a detention center in Houston, TX.
