Here Are A Few Ways To Deal With Seasonal Affective Disorder AKA Holiday Blues

This is a family-oriented time that is especially about showing love, being around family and being thankful. There are many people throughout the world who do not have loved ones to celebrate with or have lost loved ones and close family members, which makes this time of the year more than difficult. 

Holiday blues are a real diagnosis and is called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in the Diagnostic Statistics Manual (DSM-V). This disorder is characterized by depressive episodes in the fall and winter followed by remission in the spring and summer. Holiday blues settle in around this time of the year and can put a damper on the holidays. Here are a few ways you can shake off the blues.
