Jennifer Hudson modified her emergency order of protection against her ex-fiance David Otunga.

In court documents, obtained by People,  the singer voluntarily allowed her son, 8-year-old David Otunga Jr., to spend the holiday with his father.

He will be with David Sr. from Thanksgiving until Friday evening.

Earlier Otunga requested that the order of protection be thrown out but it was denied. Under the protection, he was not entitled to any visitation with David Jr. until the former couple’s next court date. Any time spent would require Hudson’s written approval. And this is what she opted to do for Thanksgiving.

The couple are set to appear in court again on November 27. They will address custody issues on December 7.
