In the latest episode of Love and Hip Hop New York, Juliet “Juju” C. opened up about something very painful for her and something many women can relate to but may not speak on publicly — fertility struggles.

While visiting with friend and LHHNY cast mate Remy Ma, the women talked about Remy and husband Papoose’s plans to try in vitro fertilization soon following the 37-year-old MC’s miscarriage due to an ectopic pregnancy. Juju asked her if she was fully prepared for the IVF process, including the possibility that even with it, she may not get pregnant as soon as they hope. When Remy said that she actually hadn’t thought about that possibility, Juju told her she brought it up because she could relate. While she didn’t name Cam’ron, she did say that she tried for years to have a baby with someone and at one point felt like less of a woman because it wasn’t happening.

“Don’t get discouraged is what I’m saying, because I actually went through it myself. We tried for a long time to have kids,” she said before tearing up. “Each month I would be like, ‘Ok, let me see if I’m pregnant.’ I would take the test and I wasn’t. I felt like it was something wrong with me. I felt like, he has a son. This is the man I love, why can’t I have a baby with him? And I would feel like, ok, am I less than a woman because I haven’t had a baby yet? I felt that way.”

The good news is that Juju has a more positive outlook on everything now thanks to her faith. She shared this message with a picture of herself and Remy from the episode speaking on the importance of not being afraid to tell your story in the hopes it can reach and help other people:
