“I’m Not Obsessing Over It Anymore”: Porsha Williams No Longer Feeling Pressure To Have A Child ASAP

November 9, 2017  |

While they might have notoriety and bank accounts that would make ours look like a piggy bank, the stars are just like us and find themselves with similar dilemmas. One of those dilemmas is facing the pressure to have a child by a certain age.

We recently told you that rapper Eve, 38, was fed up with questions from those around her about when she was going to “give” her husband of three years a baby. And if you’ve watched Real Housewives of Atlanta, then you probably know that Porsha Williams put a lot of pressure on herself to have a baby. She even went so far as to have her ex-boyfriend, Todd Stewart, sign a “baby prenup” on the show, which stated that even if they didn’t work out, she would have her child and he would do what was necessary for it.

But Williams, 36, is now easing up on that pressure, and she has her niece, Baleigh, and the realization that she has options when it comes to motherhood, to thank for that.

“Every time I’m around my niece, she gives me baby fever,” Williams told PEOPLE about her one-year-old niece. “But that’s the thing about baby fever. You have it, and then you get well again. I’m okay right now. I’m not going to have a baby until I’ve found that right guy. And I’m sure once I find him, that’ll be one of the first things we do.”

But even if Williams doesn’t find that man soon, she finds comfort in knowing that there are different ways to get pregnant without a partner these days.

“For me, I’ve thought of a lot of creative ways I can make that happen without a man. Once I realized it doesn’t have to be one way, then it gave me a little more time,” she said. “So I’m not obsessing over it anymore.”
