Ex-Mayoral Hopeful Walls Joins Gov Race as Independent

(Chicago Sun Times) — William “Dock” Walls and Ed Scanlan announced Sunday they’re teaming up to run on an independent ticket as governor and lieutenant governor, respectively.

Walls, a former Harold Washington aide and mayoral candidate, and Scanlan, an Oak Park trial lawyer, each ran unsuccessfully as Democrats in the primary.
