Most people have to work in the service industry during summer break of high school, or to make ends meet during college, or to fill income gaps between their two non-paying internships post-college. It’s good to work at a restaurant just once so you’ll know what the customers do that make your life difficult. You will probably be eating at restaurants your entire life, so why not take a walk in the server’s shoes, even for an hour? Servers aren’t bad people. They aren’t good people.
