HERE’S HOW TO DO THIS PROJECT:
Measure the space in order to determine, the number of simple mat sheets to use.
Clean the surface so that the adhesive on the simple mat will stick better.
Use a level to make sure everything is even.
Place SimpleMat in position and mark cuts, if needed.
SimpleMat has an adhesive on both sides, make sure the rubber side goes on the outside.
Pay close attention when mounting the sheets next to each other, don’t leave any space between the sheets.
Use the groat float to push the panels into the sheets, in order to active them. Flatten any creases or air bubbles. When finished, take the top sheet off.
Use groat float to coat the tiles with groat or cement.
Clean the tiles. You have now finished your backsplash.

CLOSET DESIGN TIPS:
- Measure the back wall and the two return walls of your closet before you begin. We recommend that you measure across the wall at three different heights and take the smallest dimension.
- Reach in style closets need to be at least 22″ deep to accommodate hanging clothes.
- Donate or throw away any clothing items you no longer plan to wear.
- Invest in the right kind of hanger for the type of clothing you’re choosing. Use plastic hangers for button down shirts and wooden hangers for suit jackets.
- Remove all wire hangers and plastic dry cleaner bags.

Prepare the space for painting by covering the floors with drop cloth.
Tape off all the corners with painter’s tape.
If you discover holes or cracks in the wall, cover those areas with spackling. Once dry, wipe with damp sponge.

MEET YVETTE WILLIAMS, Home Savvy’s knowledgeable Home Depot Associate demonstrating the most effective ways to properly paint your home’s interior walls.
Yvette Williams currently serves as a Home Depot district manager overseeing the operations of five Home Depot stores in the the New York Metropolitan area. Ms. Williams has been with the company for nineteen years, having first started off as a cashier. During her time with The Home Depot, Yvette has also served as Front End Supervisor, Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager. Ms. Williams takes true pride in her work and is honored to be an indelible part of The Home Depot family.
