It’s Just Hair! Sheryl Underwood Yanks Off Her Wig On National Television
Funny lady Sheryl Underwood has always been an “aunt in my head.” She always seems so cool, down to earth and downright real, which is why it didn’t come as a surprise when we learned that homegirl yanked her wig off on national television just to get a little chuckle.
I know you’re probably wondering, “What on earth possessed her to do that?” So, allow me to fill you in on how it all went down. On last Friday’s episode of daytime television show, The Talk Sheryl and her cohorts Aisha Tyler, Sarah Gilbert and Julie Chen were interviewing actress Kristin Chenoweth, along with their guest co-host, Donny Osmond. During the interview the ladies got to chatting it up about hair extensions and making fun their “enhanced,” luxurious locs. In the heat of the moment, Julie took off one of her hair pieces and began waving it around. As everyone broke out in a fit of laughter, Kristin and Aisha did the same, joining in on the fun. Julie then looked at Sheryl, egging her on and chanting, “Do it! Do It.” Sheryl eventually pulled back her wig, exposing her greying hair.
In other The Talk news, according to Always A List, back in January when it was announced that the daytime talk show would be renewed for a third season, it was also revealed that the CBS show had been doing really well as far as ratings are concerned. With an average of 2.35 million viewers, which is an 11% increase from the previous year.
Keep up the good work, ladies!

It’s Hard To Beweave: Kim Takes Off The Wig, But Is That All Her?

The fact that Kim Zolciak, the wig queen of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, finally took off the big bundle of blond that sits atop of her head made headlines today and is currently a trending topic on the web. She unveiled her real shoulder-length tresses on an episode of “Don’t Be Tardy For The Wedding.” We must say that although her real head of hair looked great and fabulous, it definitely does not look like it all belongs to her. Zolciak may have taken off the wig, but she may have failed to mention that she has hair pieces as well. What do you think? It that all her?

Bad Hair Don’t Care: 5 Tips to Overcoming Your Bad Hair Day

Source: typef.com
Everyone has a bad hair day. You wake up in the morning and your hair just won’t lay right. Of course, you need to be out the door to work, school, or an appointment and your hair is telling you that it doesn’t care about your timeliness. The frustration of bad hair days is real. But regardless of your hair type or texture there are some quick fixes that can help you navigate your hair’s bad timing.
1. Keep it simple, bun it up.
Simplicity is key and a bun ‘do is the essential quick fix to a bad hair day, whether straight/relaxed or natural. Use a small amount of water to smooth the back of your hair into a ponytail, and spritz your hair with water (add a dash of essential oils to keep it healthy), and also smooth the hair down with your hands. If you have pressed your hair straight then obviously you want to stay away from the water; simply pull your hair back into a ponytail. Use a weighted cream, like whipped Shea butter, or gel to help smooth your hair down and tie a silk scarf around the front of your hair. Keep this on for as long as possible to smooth down your hair and create a sleek look. If your hair is long enough, you can pin your ponytail, with bobby pins, into a bun. If you need added length for the bun, use Marley hair (for the naturals) or jumbo brand Kanekalon hair (for the relaxed/straight), to pin down around your ponytail into a bun. Voila!
2. The emergency wig
A definite essential is the go-to wig for when you’re in a crunch. Whether a half wig or lace front, having one wig that can help you out on a bad hair day is a great option. For a curly hair look, Creta Girl is a great half wig option for around $22 (depending where you buy it from). It’s a half wig that can be easily blended with your hair regardless of texture. The Tori lacefront wig by Freetress is a popular straight hair look that can save any bad hair day.

Look who’s letting her natural curls show. Raven, who’s normally seen in flowing tresses, debuted her short fro at a recent Disney’s Dreamers Academy event in Orlando. (With Mickey in tow.)
