Tamar And The Real Hosts Talk Bullying feat

Recently, B. Scott had the chance to chat with Tamar Braxton when she called into his new podcast, “The B. Scott Show.” He asked her a series of questions we’ve all been dying to know like why she got so emotional during that episode of “The Real” where she referenced the bullying she had endured the hands of fellow songstress K. Michelle, spoke issues of jealousy between she and Toni and even addressed the rumors that she and Vince don’t pay people who work for them.

Check out a few of the highlights below.

On that infamous ‘bullying’ breakdown on ‘The Real’

You know, it’s always the person whose bullying you who makes it about themselves — but I have to be honest and say that it wasn’t about the people who have bullied me. It was really, honestly, about what information can I give my own child, you know?

The reason why I broke down, was because — yes, it does affect me emotionally. But the reason why I broke down was because I felt like I didn’t have the information to give my child if he comes to me and asks me…because it still affects me, if you know what I’m saying.

On Dealing with it now

You know, I really don’t care any more. To be honest, if I don’t know those people — and I love my Tamartian friends and my fans, and I’m sure they love me…but they’re not gonna love everything you do. I think what has helped me the most is that I have to truly, 100% believe in what I am doing and what I stand by.

On the reoccurring rumors that she and Vince don’t pay their employees:

I can’t say they don’t have a good experience working with me. You know, because I’ve kept people employed for, you know, a very long time — years and years. When things start to not work out and people get let go or what have you, they’re upset. They start saying things  — which is the same exact thing — and it’s ridiculous. If that was the problem, then you wouldn’t have been here for 3 or 4 years. You understand what I’m saying? But now, all of a sudden, oh, I ain’t paid you for three years and you’ve been sticking around! *laughs* That doesn’t even make no sense. Stop it!

On supposedly being jealous of her sister Toni:

Let me go back to last season of [Braxton Family Values] where everyone heard me say — ‘no disrespect to you Toni, I feel like you have definitely been a huge part of not just this family, but to the music industry itself — but I do not feel you paved the way for me.’

Let me just explain myself, right? This is what I was talking about — I’ve had five record deals before now. If it just depended on the fact that Toni is not only an icon [but] my sister, then I would have made it five deals ago! That’s all I was saying. I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to her or say that she’s not talented or say that she doesn’t deserve to be [anything]– or that I’m even jealous. I was just saying, ‘[Toni] being my sister has NOTHING to do with the success I have today! I worked my complete behind off. This is my SIXTH record deal and, you know, if it was just solely dependent on YOU being my sister than it would have happened five record deals ago.

“I Made A Name For My Own Self Too”: Tamar Might Be Done With “Braxton Family Values” Because It’s Hurting Relationships With Her Sisters

This hasn’t been the best season of “Braxton Family Values” for all the sisters. And even though they’ve all made strides in their careers, we’ve watched the tension grow between them. One big issue this time around has been the fact that certain people feel Tamar does not give enough credit to sister Toni for paving the way for her current musical success. On the other side of the fence, Tamar acknowledges that Toni has opened doors for the family, but that she has worked hard on her own to build up her name outside of Toni. That drama spilled over to social media recently, and it was starting to look like the show was creating a rift in the relationships of the Braxton sisters.

In a new interview with Renada Romain of Ear Candy Mornings, Tamar and Vince Herbert talked about all the drama and why “Braxton Family Values” might not be a good fit for her anymore.

Renada: “Do you think you need to leave the show?”

Tamar: “I have not quite made up my mind yet.”

Renada: “But it is something you’ve been thinking about?”

Tamar: “Definitely. I feel like I really work hard for everything I have. Nothing has been handed to me, no matter if people want to contribute that to Toni’s success or Vincent’s success. At the end of the day, I have to get up early every day and bust my behind just like everybody else. So for me, I don’t want to be depicted as a person that I’m completely not. If I signed up for a reality show that’s one thing. But if I signed up for a scripted show, that’s another thing. I’m not into that.”

Vince: “It’s not worth Tamar’s relationship with her sisters. That’s what attracted me to this woman. She loves her family so hard. At the end of the day, Toni Braxton is Toni Braxton. The way they will turn…Tamar also said in that line, ‘and so much you have done for our family,’ but that line got cut off. It’s a little sad for me to watch my wife defend herself when I know how much she loves her family. Each and every one of them, including her mom and her dad. Because I know that 11 years ago, I saw this woman loving her family so hard. And for people to see THAT and make that decision, that’s not who they’re looking at because that’s not her and that’s not true.”

Tamar: “I don’t know if people remember, but last promos, I walked around with a Toni Braxton T-shirt! I’m trying to figure out when did Toni Braxton become a problem in my life? I look up to her!”

Renada: “Tamar, what’s the one thing that you think is the biggest misconception about you? Because a lot of people, I don’t think they knew that you had four record deals prior to the show. They think it happened overnight! But you’ve been grinding for a while.”

Tamar: “For a while…I think that now, the one that has been created is the saying that I have a big head and that I think I’m the diva. Or I think that I don’t owe anything to my sister, Toni Braxton. At the end of the day, yeah, she made the Braxton name very famous because she worked her behind off. I can’t take that away from her. But then again, you can’t take away from me the fact that, at the end of the day, I made a name for my own self too, and that’s okay.”

I would have to agree that it might be time for Tamar to move away from this show. Anything that entertains others but hurts the relationships with family that make you happy is simply not worth it. Besides, does Tamar really need to be on this show anymore?

Have You Been Watching? Ratings For The Premiere Of “The Real” Are In And They’re Not That Great…

FOX

FOX

In case you weren’t aware, this week marked the premiere of “The Real” on Fox. The show had a four week trial run last summer and though it only premiered in seven Fox markets (including New York, Los Angeles, D.C., Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston and Tampa), the show did so well that it was given the green light to be broadcast nationally, with reruns playing on BET.

The show premiered on Monday, and according to reports, it’s doing so-so. Let’s see if I can break this TV numbers talk down so that it makes sense.

Courtesy of Broadcasting & Cable, according to Nielsen Media Research, the talk show premiered on Monday with a 0.9 rating/3 share in primary run metered market averages. The show’s numbers were 40% below their lead-in program and had a 10 percent decrease in viewership compared to the show that it replaced (the short-lived “Bethenny” was in the same time-slot last year).

Among women ages 25-54, the show averaged 0.8 and was down 38 percent from its lead-in show, but was up 14 percent from the numbers “Bethenny” was pulling last year. With less than a million viewers in its premiere, the show isn’t necessarily tearing the roof off of daytime TV (“Live with Kelly and Michael is doing that with 2.7 in its premiere), but it’s doing well among younger viewers. And with all the commentary on Twitter that I saw on Monday about it, the program has a strong social media presence.

I’ve watched every episode since the program premiered on Monday, and I still think it has potential.

However, the women should probably start talking about things going on in the news or in popular culture (or get some better guests) instead of just taking Twitter challenges to talk with mouths full of marshmallows and pissing Tamar off with too much talk about her man Vince (“Let’s talk about somebody else’s man”), because sometimes it seems they’re talking over one another about a whole lot of nothing.

Aside from that, I like that they’re trying to bring something fresh to daytime, and I would encourage everyone to give the show a try if you haven’t–at least once.

Have you been tuning in to “The Real”?

For many people, when you think of Vince Herbert these days, you think of Tamar Braxton, or a Lady Gaga. He has steered the careers of both women and helped them obtain major success. But before he was doing that, he was a writer and producer for quite a few major talents during the ’90s. Here are 9 hits and deep cuts that Vince (then credited as Vincent Herbert or V.H.) has lent his talents to over the years.

“Pastor & Deacon Herbert”: Tamar Braxton Posts Adorable Easter Pic Of Baby Logan

While Easter (aka, Resurrection Day) has come and gone, the cute pictures from the holiday are still popping up online, including this image Tamar Braxton shared on her Instagram a few hours ago. In it, Vince holds on to his little guy, baby Logan, who is the freshest toddler out the stroller in his white pants, linen jacket, brown boots and fedora hat. Tamar captioned this adorable picture with, “Pastor & Deacon Herbert #easter2014,” because really, that’s what Logan is giving us in the image.

I just can’t get over how cute this kid is.

This was Logan’s first Easter, and the cutie patootie will be ringing in the big 0-1 on June 6. These kids grow up so fast! Check out a few more of Logan’s cutest moments so far below (via Tamar’s Instagram).

“Threats Or Being Rude 2my Family Will Get U BLOCKED!” Tamar Defends Towanda From “Tamartians”

If you’ll recall, people were giving Towanda Braxton quite a bit of hell after she put Vince Herbert’s financial issues on blast on Twitter. When explaining her behavior to our sister site, Bossip, she said that her statements about Herbert were out of character, but were brought on by fans of her sister, Tamar, making ugly statements about her children:

I take a lot. I have tough skin and usually I laugh things off. I just have to admit that a lot of the Tamartians, most of them are extremely disrespectful and I didn’t care that they were attacking me, I didn’t care that they were attacking Andre, what I cared about was when they started attacking my kids. They said ‘I wish Towanda’s kids got raped and run over by a bus.’ See people didn’t see that stuff. They just saw what I wrote. So after that I have to say that was 100% out of character for Towanda to respond, but I wasn’t thinking about what was right and what was wrong at that moment I was just reacting and responding.

We always have have a sister thread in our messages, so we got on that and I was in trouble because it was totally out of character for me, until I explained, “Hey these children are attacking your niece and your nephew.” Then they understood. Like ‘Okay, we get it. We wouldn’t have done it that way but we get it.’

Tamar never responded to her sister’s very rude comments about Vince owing the IRS a few million dollars, but she did take time out of her day recently to let her fans know that whatever issues she has with her sisters have nothing to do with them, so they need to cool it with attacks on Towanda, and all of her sisters in general:

Tamar twitterSo despite the drama she might have with Towanda that people have seen on Braxton Family Values, Tamar is still quick to stand by her, even against her own fans. Family first!

What do you think of what Tamar had to say to her Tamartians?

“That Was 100% Out Of Character”: Towanda Braxton Explains Why She Put Vince Herbert’s Finances On Blast

If you’ll recall, last week Towanda Braxton had everyone talking when she publicly dissed Tamar’s husband, Vince Herbert, on Twitter. Tamar and Towanda have had quite the bumpy relationship this season of Braxton Family Values, with many people saying that Towanda has been jealous of her little sister’s success. So some fans of Tamar’s took to Twitter last week and blasted Towanda, saying she was jealous that Tamar’s man is a multimillionaire, while hers (who she’s separated from) is a “bum.” That prompted Towanda’s response about Vince, which was:

@mslady57 check the web boo! He also owes 3.3 million to the irs…guess I’m jealous of that too huh?

Obviously that didn’t sit well with many people. But in an interview with our sister site, BOSSIP, Towanda said that while her statements were out of character, she only made them because Tamartians were making vicious comments about her kids:

Towanda also shared that Tamar was very hurt by her statements, but did defend her on Twitter:

She was pissed! Rightfully so. We always have have a sister thread in our messages, so we got on that and I was in trouble because it was totally out of character for me, until I explained, “Hey these children are attacking your niece and your nephew.” Then they understood. Like ‘Okay, we get it. We wouldn’t have done it that way but we get it.’

Despite all that, Towanda does say that while what she said was mean-spirited, the news about Vince’s finances is not private family business–it’s all over the web:

…a lot of people are like ‘Towanda, you just blasted the family business!’ I didn’t tell family business. That was already on the web. This was public knowledge before I said anything ladies and gentlemen. I didn’t divulge any secrets of the Braxton family. I don’t do that. It’s just like with the Traci situation, I didn’t say ‘Hey y’all this what’s going on, Traci told me blah blah blah.’ I don’t do that. Allegedly Traci’s husband had a kid out of wedlock — it was on the web, it wasn’t anything I found out from her.

And Towanda did clear up rumors about her relationship with Kordell. She said they are friends…but you never know what the future will hold:

I met Kordell at an event and I thought he was a nice guy. We’re just friends. Let me just make it clear. We’re definitely friends. Once I met him there, you know when it’s like the beginning stages and you’re trying to get to know a person, it wasn’t a love connection and I think it was partially because of my situation. [Being separated and not divorced.] A lot of guys are like that and that’s where he is.

Check out Towanda’s full BOSSIP interview (and it’s long) here, and share your thoughts on all she had to say.

Towanda Braxton Checks Twitter Fan About Relationship With Tamar

When you have four sisters, there’s bound to be drama at some point, and if you’re a fan of Braxton Family Values, you may have witnessed some tension between Towanda and Tamar and the sisters as of late.

Well if Towanda wasn’t already feeling some type of way, it all came out on Twitter the other night when a fan accused her of being jealous.  A fan tweeted:

“And she can’t help it that her husband is a multimillionaire and yours is a bum! #bvf @towandabraxton #jealous,”

Well she must have hit a nerve, because Towanda quickly fired back:

“@mslady57 check the web boo! He also owes 3.3 million to the irs…guess I’m jealous of that too huh?”

While we can understand Towanda catching feelings, we’d think she’d be littler more supportive and throw a little less shade at her brother-in-law’s financial troubles.

She might be in her feelings since Kordell Stewart, whom she was rumored to be dating, recently shut down those rumors publicly.  According to Bossip, on a recent taping of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, Stewart denied any romantic dealings with Towanda:

“Towanda Braxton is a nice lady. I had the opportunity to meet her and no, we’re not dating.”

Stewart divorced Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams last year.

Reports reveal that Tamar’s husband Vince owes over $3 million dollars in back taxes.  We don’t understand why these celebrities keep playing with Uncle Sam.  He finds everyone, celebrity or not.  Either way, Towanda’s being messy with family matters.  We hope the sisters can stop throwing the shade and go back to sharing the love.

Does Eve Owe The IRS $327K In Back Taxes Too!?

New year, new IRS targets.

We told you yesterday that the IRS is allegedly on Vince Herbert’s back over unpaid taxes totaling $3,325,107.70. Now, according to Radar Online, newly engaged rapper Eve has the IRS on her back too. Based on newly-filed court documents (which Radar Online has), E-V-E, aka, Eve Jeffers, has two separate tax liens filed against her in the state of New York. The first lien was placed against the 35-year-old in the summer for unpaid taxes from 2007, 2010 and 2011. The total of her unpaid taxes in that lien comes to a total of $224,987.95.

The second lien came in November of 2013, after the rapper was audited a year before for not paying $102,084.30 in 2012. So the tally of her unpaid taxes for all four years rounds out to $327,072.25.

But there should be no need for Eve to fret. Of course, she’s engaged to be married to millionaire Maximillion Cooper, the man behind the popular international Gumball 3000 races. So I’m sure he’ll be able to lend her a couple hundred thousand to make this whole tax lien thing go away. Either way, it’s a rough start to the year for stars and their money. But let’s hope Herbert and Eve can fix their lien issues long before the IRS tries to come for them with jail time like they did the likes of Lauryn Hill and Fat Joe last year.

Check out the physical court documents over at Radar Online and share your thoughts.

Lemme Upgrade You: Vince Gives Tamar An Enormous Diamond Ring For Christmas

Vince gives Tamar diamond ring

Apparently Christmas is ring season, even if you’re already married. After sharing news that Dwyane Wade put a ring on it, as did Evelyn Lozada’s boo Carl Crawford, we’ve found out Vince Herbert did too — for the second time.

Miss Tamar Braxton just showed off the enormous  new wedding ring her hubby Vince bought her on Instagram, writing:

I’ll say yes!&yes!&YES Vincent Herbert a zillions years…..cause we will #STAY&FIGHT!! I’ll LOVE you forever!!..man of my dreams!!! We’re so true.

Vince, being the more private, non-social media participant in the marriage, didn’t share his motivation for the new rock, but we know one thing, Tamar’s entire left hand is certainly shining bright like a diamond right about now. Must be nice…
