So Karrine “Superhead” Steffans has been making headlines lately for all sorts of reasons. First, she was alleged to be the newest cast member of “Basketball Wives LA”, then for professing her undying love for Lil Wayne and now, for releasing a photo and a video of she and 106 and Park host, Bow Wow spending time together. Before your mind even goes there, it is not the type of video most would expect from the confessing video vixen — they both have their clothes on.

While the point of the video is unclear, it seems that the two were spending some “quality time” together after watching a football game at what looks like Bow Wow’s hotel room before he left town. The video opens with both Bow Wow and Karrine starring into a bathroom mirror and his first words were “It’s not what you think it is, okay?” I guess he knew exactly where our minds would go once we saw the two of them together. But who could blame us considering the fact that the two have been intimate before and that Karrine is known for laying down with famous rappers and getting up to talking about it. But anyway, Bow Wow proceeded to say all nice things about the former video girl stating that she is his “homie” and that he’ll “vouch” for her.  He seemed very adamant about letting it be know that the visit was strictly platonic and there was nothing sexual going in his little “disclaimer”.

“Just in case this goes somewhere this is my people. You already know you see a n***a on camera and you already know how yall n***as be thinking. Oh what they do? What they do before the video? What they do after they stopped it? Listen, no bulls**t, this is my peoples and y’all know I’m a good motherf***ing person so if I vouch for somebody it mean that they gotta be a good person,so unless y’all know her personally, y’all really can’t say nothing. She taught me how to wash clothes though. That’s all I gotta say.”

On the other hand, Karrine seemed as if she was trying to set him up for us to think otherwise by playfully asking him for a kiss and telling him how “cute” he looks. Guess he didn’t learn the first time she kiss and told on him and every other rapper in the industry.

So I was checking out one of my favorite hip-hop blogs today, Herfection, and I came across this video they posted of Nicki Minaj spitting mad bars on the streets of Queens way before she was trying to be the woman of 100 faces, tote Mac lipstick and even before she was anywhere near affiliated with Young Money. Nails extremely long and with her bamboo earrings on, Onika raps with confidence and flair, and you can’t help but nod your head to it. In the end of the video, she freestyles (we hope), gives a shoutout to Cash Money coincidentally, and shouts out the talent of not only herself, but Foxy Brown and AND Lil’ Kim of all people: “Whose your best MC’s? Nick, Fox, and Kim…). She also jokingly boasts about her own rap skills. “I only rap cause I’m good at it. Really. It really was a hobby for a minute but then I was like, damn look at the state of hip-hop, what’s going on!? [laughs]” Interesting…

Now that she’s clearly going a pop route since blowing up, we definitely agree that the “gutta” Nicki Minaj is a lot better. Check out the video below, courtesy of James Delgatto and his Vimeo page, and decide if you agree:
