Celebrities airing out their personal business on reality TV shows have become the new normal instead of the standard back in the day when celebs used to ask, if not beg for privacy. Some make guest appearances while others devote an entire show to putting their lives under a microscope. The exposure has either helped or hurt the following celebs.
Tia and Tamera
Tia and Tamera are just like any other sisters and that’s a good thing. They can mix like oil and water but there’s nothing thicker than blood. They might get on each other’s nerves on the show, like when Tamera thought Tia wasn’t doing her part to help with her wedding in the first season of their show, “Tia & Tamera.” Tia was pregnant and was limited in what she could do but still wanted to be her maid of honor. However, the famous twins definitely have each other’s backs. The second season is already showcasing the unique dynamic between the twins, but at the end of each episode, we know that they’re going to be solid. “Tia & Tamera” the second time around is still must see TV and after showing a more personal side of themselves, we like them a lot more (though some say Tamera works their last nerve sometimes…).
On Sunday night’s episode of “What Chilli Wants,” we saw Chilli once again trying to get some romantic attention from her “friend” of many years Floyd Mayweather. Just looking at Chilli’s body language when she’s around him let’s you know that she loves him dearly and would gladly welcome any definitive, more than platonic effort on his part. She wants (wanted) a grand gesture of sorts and she was willing to even take a small one.
Chilli wanted their trip to the amusement park to be more of a romantic one-on-one date, while Floyd treated it like a boys’ night out. He was literally throwing footballs over her head to his security team. Can’t get more unromantic than that. Over the past couple episodes whenever Chilli asked him the whole “What are we?” and “Will we ever be more than friends?” type of questions, he either non-nonchalantly dodged the question with a joke or answered in some semi-flirtatious yet still ambigious way.
He would not flat out say “Chilli, I will just be your friend forever. Don’t waste any time worrying about what I want,” but he did show her that’s what he meant through his actions. Yes, buying $14,000 earrings is a tad more than friendly, but if he is that flashy, he would have made some grand romantic gesture by now.
Chilli seems to have gotten what she needed to confidently move on to other prospects and still stay buddies with Floyd. Good for her!
Have you ever had a man in your life who kept showing you who he was, yet you kept him around because you refused to accept it? How long did it take you to see the writing on the wall? If you were Chilli, how would you have handled the Floyd situation?
If you’ve ever watched an episode of VH1′s “What Chilli Wants,” then you know that Tionna Smalls tends not to sugarcoat anything. On the show, which is now in its second season, Smalls helps the pint-sized former TLC member find true love. Smalls recently sat down with AOL Black Voices to talk about her new book, working with Chilli and what women often get wrong in relationships.
The newly engaged Brooklynite defines settling as being willing to put up with anything just to not be alone and that women who do settle don’t like to admit it. She said giving up on ridiculously high standards is not the same as settling. Do you agree with that distinction? Have you ever settled in a relationship?

Love her or hate her Madame Tionna Smalls is a force to be reckoned with. The co-star of VH1′s hit show What Chilli Wants, featuring TLC singer Madame Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas (renewed for a second season, minus Smalls) she’s a straight-shooter who gives no-holds-barred love advice. So what’s to hate?
