Before I planned my trip to Europe in May, my biggest concern was my hair! What would I do to it? Because I was flying overseas and I didn’t want to check a bag, I was left with two options: bring as many products in clear 3 ounce bottles or buy products when I got there. Either one wasn’t sounding too appealing for a 2 week vacation to Europe.  To top it off, I did not want to spend time doing my hair every morning and doing it at night.

The most logical thing I could think of was to get a protective style! Box braids had been on my mind as of recent, due to celebrities like Solange and Kandi. I decided to go with that.

After 6 hours and a ton of waist length braids later- I had the ultimate vacation style!

Traveling through Europe was a breeze, not to mention all of the attention they got! They were so easy to maintain. I just wrapped them up in a satin bonnet at night and in the morning I would shake the bonnet off and go.

Hairstyles that I could do with braids were limitless. I ran to Youtube to look at box braid styles or even styles with locs.  All I needed to bring with me were some bobby pins and a couple of elastic headbands and ponytail bands. From updos to down styles, I definitely rocked several styles while I was there.
