Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Season 1, Episode 2
Bravo
REAL Real Housewives
The newest addition to the Real Housewives franchise is set in Beverly Hills. Two things set this group of ladies apart from the other casts. For one thing, most of them are real, actual true-blue housewives. They don’t do much, but shop, indulge in pet projects and just generally consume luxury. Secondly, they have that long dough. They have REAL money. I’m not talking about having a little money left over to buy a Birkin and some Louboutins once in a while, I’m talking about flying in private jets and having nannies that outnumber the children. This is real money, honey.
In this episode, we see Paris Hilton’s aunts going at eachother the whole time. Kyle, the one who kinda looks like Demi Moore, is trying to get her sister Kim to loosen her grip on her practically grown kids and let them have lives. Kyle and Kim’s relationship is really volatile. Mostly because Kim is clearly a little off and Kyle seems to take joy in pointing that out.
Adrienne, who is the sister of the Maloof brothers and wife to Dr. 90210 plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif, does a photoshoot for some random a$$ magazine with a GORGEOUS little chocolate something. Her hubby seems a tad jealous, but I’m not sure if that was genuine. She also meets up with Brody Jenner’s mom and it is kind of a freaky moment to look at the both of them with all the plastic they have pumped into their faces. It’s like the LA alien look.
Camille, (now ex) wife of Kelsey Grammer, keeps yammering on about needing to make a name for herself outside of her husband. She will get that opportunity very soon. Today, Kelsey has already moved on to a new (younger) girlfriend.
This cast is pretty interesting. Looking forward to seeing how the series progresses and how many ways they can find to spend their husbands’ money.

Deuces!
The most boring cast in the history of the “Real Housewives” franchise has taken a final bow. I’m not sure if they will be back for another season(I can’t imagine they would be), but lets hope Bravo finds a more entertaining use for that hour. Read the rest of this entry »

Season 1, Episode 4
You Like Me! You Really Really Like Me!
The other cast members are all wising up to the fact that the Salahis are insane. We all know now about the infamous White House dinner fiasco, but in this episode, the ladies learn that the Salahis also snuck into the Congressional Black Caucus dinner and ended up being escorted out by security. Stacie is particularly appalled by this and the ladies (and gents) cackle and gossip about Michaele and Tareq on the way to the wanna-be-celeb couple’s winery. Oh and the winery is full of security because Tareq’s mama counter-sued his behind about the property and according to him, she is determined to ruin the Salahi’s day with their “friends.” I guess she doesn’t know that none of them are really friends. Cat leaves the dinner early because she’s an ornery English person and Michaele does her best to insult as many people as possible, especially Lynda and Mary. An earlier scene at a birthday party for a hair stylist shows Mary and Michaele battling for the unofficial title of most beloved client. Weird. There is a touch of substance to the episode though. Stacie, who is adopted, finds her white birth mother and discovers that she has a Nigerian father who does not know she exists. Interestingly enough, she’s the most well-adjusted person of the cast. The episode ends with Tareq about to make some kind of explosive announcement. Of all the Real Housewives shows, this cast (with the exception of Stacie) seems the most inauthentic, which is quite a feat considering the women on the other shows. Are you watching this version of “Real Housewives?” Which version is your favorite?
