“I Was 195 Pounds When I Gave Birth”: Beyoncé Talks Getting Her Sexay Back After Blue

Beyoncé 195 pounds

These Beyoncé “documentary” clips just keep coming, and we’re not mad at them, because they’re giving fans a glimpse into a different side of the singer and how her new album came together. In the fourth part of her documentary series, Beyoncé talks about how her life changed after giving birth to Blue, and how she was motivated to show a new sexually exposed side of herself, and work extremely hard to get her body back. As she puts it, “Just because you become a mother, it doesn’t mean you lose who you are.” Here’s what Bey had to say about bringing all of her favorite writers to the Hamptons to record, embracing motherhood, and being more sexual and the power that comes with that:

Recording Her New Album In The Hamptons Months After Giving Birth:

“I was breastfeeding, cornrows in my hair. Because I was spending so much time being a mother, I would take a few hours out of the day and record. In real life, I was this woman, this mother, trying to get my focus and my dreams and myself back. Recording this album was such an outlet for me to kind of escape and create whatever world and fantasy that definitely at the time was not happening [laughs].”

Her
Thoughts On The Very Explicit Track, “Partition

“It reminds me of like Too Short or E-40. It takes me back to when me and my husband first meet and he’s trying to scoop me and he thinks I’m the hottest thing in the world. I kind of had this whole fantasy of being in the car, and this whole movie played in my head. I was so embarrassed after I recorded the song cause I’m just talking sh*t. And I’m like, ‘I can’t play this for husband.’ I still haven’t played it for my mom. She’s going to be very mad at me [smiles].”

Having A Baby, Working To Get Her Body Back And Showing It Off

“I was very aware of the fact that I was showing my body. I was 195 pounds when I gave birth. I lost 65 pounds. I worked crazily to get my body back. I wanted to show my body [laughs]! I wanted to show that you can have a child and you can work hard and you can get your body back. I know finding my sensuality, getting back into my body, being proud of growing up, it was important to me that I expressed that in this music because I know that there are so many women that feel the same thing after they give birth.

You can have your child and you can still have fun and still be s*xy and still have dreams and still live for yourself. I don’t, at all, have any shame about being sexual. And I’m not embarrassed about it and I don’t feel like I have to protect that side of me because I do feel that sexuality is a power that we all have.”

Check out her thoughts in full by watching part four of her documentary below. These are actually pretty entertaining. Keep ‘em coming Bey!

Just Say No: Celebrities Who Let Drugs Get in The Way Of Success

Nothing puts a stop to shine quicker than drug addiction. Just ask Whitney, Bobby, DJ Screw or any of the hundreds of other celebrities that fell into the life and couldn’t climb out. These celebrities are quickly following in their footsteps.

RiRi is suffering from all the classic symptoms of pot head itis. She shows up to work late, cancels appointments and she’s dating a dude that nobody sober could stomach. Maybe if she puts down the blunt she can make those tour dates instead of having to fake doctor’s appointments.

WTF News Of The Day: Rapper Too Short Runs From The Cops!

Okay, Short Dog must have really been “on one” to run from the cops.

Some nosy person had the good sense to get it all on tape and send it in to TMZ. In the clip, Too Short is seen speaking to police officers early Wednesday morning.  He was pulled over for suspicion of driving under the influence and was asked to step out of the car. The police gave him a field sobriety test and according to TMZ, before he ran, they told him they were going to have to take him in on a DUI charge.

That didn’t sit too well with Short because after pretending to have a civil conversation, Short took off running!

But here’s the thing: he got nowhere real fast. The rapper tripped on the sidewalk and the cops were on him like white on rice. So embarrassing.

Bless his heart. Even if he hadn’t tripped, it didn’t look like he was going to get too far in his little spring.

To add insult to injury, the police also found drugs in his car and added a drug possession charge to the list. I wonder if they’ll hit him with “attempting to flee an officer” charge as well.

Some of these rappers, no matter their age, just don’t learn. At some point, you’ve got to know you’re too old for the bull.

By the way, Too Short did tweet about it:

Take a look at the video…and laugh. Nothing else we can do (by the way, the TMZ link actually has a better version than the video below they posted on YouTube)!

This year was full of drama from all sides, but some celebrities took the foolishness way too far; consequently, we’ll never look at them the same again. Here are 15 famous folks we lost respect for in 2012 and who we hope can get their ish together in 2013.

Too Short

Dirty lyrics are one thing, but Short crossed the line when he gave gross and probably illegal advice to young men on how to take it “to the hole.”

The details are too gross to include here and, thankfully, XXL took the video off their website shortly after this was published, but the “fatherly guidance” included graphic details on what to do with your fingers when you’re alone with a girl. I don’t know how anyone could buy another XXL or Too Short track after that.

First Look At JoJo On Season 2 Of VH1′s “Couples Therapy”: I Was Drunk When I Proposed To My Wife

Season 2 of VH1′s “Couple’s Therapy” is getting ready to kick off and the network already has my attention just looking at the line-up of troubled couples slated to appear on the show.

The five lucky pairs — or unlucky depending on how you look at it— are Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen from the “Real Housewives of New York”, Shayne and Nik Lamas-Richie a celebrity blogger and former “Bachelor” contestant, rapper  Too Short and his wife Monica Payne, Jodeci’s JoJo and Tashaunda “Tiny” Hailey, and 52-year-old Doug Hutchison who is married to 17-year-old Courtney Stodden.

From the supertrailer VH1 just released, it appears JoJo may be the most troubled cast member this season, as his issues go beyond his marriage to his health which is heavily affected by his alcoholism. His wife pleads with the singer to stop drinking, while he admits that he was drunk when he proposed to her. I’m sure you can see how that wouldn’t exactly start the pair off on the right foot to marital bliss.

The premiere episode of the second season airs next Wednesday, October 3 at 10pm. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think. Will you watch?

This Should Be…Interesting: Too Short, JoJo, and Their Ladies Joining VH1′s Couple’s Therapy

We had no clue Too Short had a consistent woman in his life either, although I use the word consistent loosely since the pair seems to have more of a Mimi-Stevie J “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” type of relationship going on. Either way, The Jasmine Brand reports that the 15-year on-and-off again couple will appear on the next season of VH1′s show “Couple’s Therapy” along with Jodeci singer Joel “JoJo” Hailey and his wife.

It doesn’t take much to imagine the issues that might be plaguing rapper Too Short’s relationship with Monica Payne, but since JoJo has been out of the spotlight for a while it will be interesting to catch up with one half of the K-Ci-JoJo R&B duo and see what he’s been up to over the past several years. With these picks for the next season of the cast, it appears VH1 is trying to recreate the reality TV magic they had with rapper DMX and his wife Tasheera Simmons. Though couple’s therapy appears to not have been able to stop the couple from proceeding with their pending divorce, DMX did begin to scratch the surface of his issues with women, stemming from the ones with his own mother. I wouldn’t be surprised if Too Short might be dealing with some of the same given the disgusting advice he gave to middle school boys earlier this year.

Other couple’s rumored to be joining the next season of “Couple’s Therapy” include socialite wannabes Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen who already appeared on a couple seasons of the “Real Housewives of New York” and “Lost” actor Doug Hutchison who’s married to a 17-year-old girl by the name of Courtney Stodden. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out the issues with those two either.

Tapping has reportedly already begun for next season so it won’t be long before we have an insider look at the drama between these celebrity couples. Would you watch to see what’s going on with JoJo and Too Short’s relationships?

XXL Staff Suspended Over Too Short Video

February 16th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

Once Too Short’s “Fatherly Advice” video went online last week, the viral disgust spread like wildfire. Later the same day the video was removed from XXL’s site, but many said that wasn’t enough and they demanded that the publication’s editor-in-chief, Vanessa Satten, be fired. So far that hasn’t happened, but the staff responsible for uploading the video has been suspended.

On Monday, XXL and Too Short issued an apology for the clip which went up last Friday. For XXL’s part, the EIC stated she agrees with those who were angered by the video and relinquished responsibility for the posting:

“I do not see all content before it goes live. When I saw this video, I was truly offended and thought it crossed the line. I had it taken down immediately. I am disappointed that an employee decided to post it and I am putting internal procedures in place to make sure content like this does not go on the site. The video goes against my value system and represents poor judgment on behalf of the individual who posted it.”

And Too Short was basically, Too Short:

“I want to apologize to anyone I may have offended with the XXL video interview I recently did. When I got on camera I was in Too $hort mode and had a lapse of judgement.I would never advise a child or young man to do these things, it’s not how I get down. Although I have made my career on dirty raps, I have worked over the years to somewhat balance the content of my music with giving back to the community. Just coming from a man who wants to see young people get ahead in life, I’m gonna do my best to to help and not hurt. If you’re a young man or a kid who looks up to me, don’t get caught up in the pimp, player, gangster hip-hop personas. Just be yourself.”

Since issuing this statement, the internal procedure has meant suspension for those who were responsible for producing and posting the video, and development of a new method of uploading to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Vanessa Satten also wants to make it clear that she is in no way down with the “fatherly advice” that was shared, saying in another statement that as soon as a reader made her aware of the video she had it taken down.

“As a woman, I in no way find the content of the video acceptable. To think I would ever approve anything that would harm women or endanger children is absurd. Under no terms should sexual assault be tolerated, nor do I endorse making light of it.”

Since comments are closed on both statements, it’s hard to say whether this will satisfy the public, but I’m curious why the content of the video wasn’t discussed before production began anyway. Sounds like someone is passing the buck. I vote no more Too Short videos period.

Do you think Vanessa Satten should be fired over the Too Short controversy? Is suspension enough for the XXL employees behind the video?

Too Short Gives Disgusting Fatherly Advice About Girls to Middle School Boys

February 10th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian
Share to Twitter Email This

Too Short never claimed to be a role model and I’m not sure why XXL is making him out to be one, but for some reason the magazine has given him a platform for “fatherly advice” and in his third lesson on the birds and the bees, he’s giving middle school boys some disturbing tricks on mind manipulation to “turn little girls out” and essentially take advantage of them sexually. Here’s what he said:

“When you get to late middle school, early high school and you start feeling a certain way about the girls… I’m gonna tell you a couple tricks. This is what you do, man. A lot of the boys are going to be running around trying to get kisses from the girls, we’re going way past that. I’m taking you to the hole.

There’s a general area down there, a little spot that girls have that feels really good to them. Don’t kiss them down there yet, that’s later in life. But this is what you do. You push her up against the wall or pull her up against you while you lean on the wall and you take your finger and put a little spit on it and you stick your finger in her underwear and you rub it on there and watch what happens. It’s like magic. You gotta find her spot, they all have a different one, but it’s somewhere in there. Just go for it. When you feel like it becomes a little more moist that’s when you know you’re doing it right.”

I personally think his advice is pretty irresponsible, yet somewhat expected from a raunchy rapper such as himself, but XXL really shouldn’t promote this type of foolishness for young boys, particularly when he’s leaning heavily toward aggressive sexual behavior played out against pre-teen girls.

Check out the clip and see what you think. Should XXL take this down?
