Chief Keef Threatens To ‘Slap The S**t’ Out Of Katy Perry On Twitter
I would add some sassiness to this post, but I don’t need my life threatened so I’m just going to go ahead and report the facts as is.
Yesterday, Katy Perry sent out what I’m sure she thought was just harmless societal commentary when she tweeted remarks about a disturbing song on the radio. Apparently, the song was titled “I hate being sober” and that didn’t sit too well with the pop rocker who kisses girls and likes it. She tweeted:
Just heard a new song on the radio called “I hate being sober” I now have serious doubt for the world.

Unbeknownst to Katy, that track happens to be a new song by notoriously vile Chicago teen rapper Chief Keef, and when he heard Katy had some negative things to say about his song, he demonstrated the violence that runs so rampant in his songs with a few threats online.
Although Katy Perry may not have been familiar with Keef’s latest song, she clearly must be familiar with his position as an unofficial murder suspect in the death of slain Chicago teen rapper Lil Jo Jo. When word of these threats came her way, Katy wasted no time backtracking on her criticisms and even sent some compliments toward the ruthless rapper’s way.
Mr. Keef! I’m sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn’t even know it was you in particular. Actually… — Katy Perry (@katyperry) May 24, 2013
I’m a fan of your “Don’t Like” video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations desire to be constantly intoxicated.

Believe me, I’m a lover not a hater. x
— Katy Perry (@katyperry) May 24, 2013
Chief Keef retweeted Katy’s apologies, which I’m not sure is a sign of acceptance or a demonstration to show how he can put the fear of God in people. I’m just hoping his threats were harmless — and that he realizes it’s not the smartest move to suggest bodily harm to someone on a social media site when it will be retweeted nearly 10,000 times.
Leave It To The Professionals: Celebrity Shade That Didn’t Go Over Too Well
What were these celebrities thinking when they made these silly comments? Did they really think the other person would laugh it off or not react. We’re sure they will think twice before they open their big mouths again or do something else outrageous.

Sigh.
It pains us to report this news, especially after Kevin McCall and all his choclatey goodness came by our office not too long ago. But we can’t be held responsible for this man’s foolishness, although we hope his team holds him accountable for his latest antics.
Mr. McCall, the man put on by Chris Brown thanks to his vocals on the singer’s hits “Deuces” and “Strip,” seems to be proving birds of a feather flock foolishly together, as his mouth entitled him to a royal butt whooping during a concert this weekend. The singer/rapper was in Melbourne, Australia, giving a concert when he pulled one of Breezy’s “that pu**y is mine baby” moves and began serenading a woman on stage.
When the crowd began to boo Kevin, he flipped out threatening to whoop the heckler’s you know what in front of everybody and encouraging him/them to come on stage if they really wanted to do something. Noticing there were no takers, Kevin proceeded to let the male audience members know in no uncertain terms, “I’ll f**k your b***h,” and just about as soon as the h sound left his lips, the men in the crowd let him know they don’t tolerate disrespect — with their hands, fists, and feet of course.
Can we say SMDH?
I’m really started to get disturbed by this new trend of concert-goer disrespect. While audiences do need to remember entertainers have feelings like everyone else, when people pay money to be entertained, they’re entitled to voice their opinion. What’s not acceptable, however, is how these entertainers (Read: Kevin McCall, Keyshia Cole, K. Michelle — hmm notice a pattern?) think it’s cool to like completely cuss out their fans like some randoms on the street. I mean they do know fans are their bread and butter right? If not, someone please remind them.
Eva better get her boo.

90′s songbird Lauryn Hill is just one of many celebrities who have found themselves in trouble with Uncle Sam after failing to pay owed taxes. The mom of six was brought up on charges after her failure to file taxes for 2005, 2006 and 2007. Within those three years, Hill’s earnings exceeded $1.8 million and now there may be severe consequences to pay. According to TMZ, the singer has already pled guilty to the charges that were brought against her and could face several years in prison.
In a last ditch effort to avoid being sentenced to prison time when she faces the judge presiding over her case on April 22nd, Lauryn has filed court papers, revealing the “real” reason why she stopped putting out music and paying her taxes. According to the documents, Lauryn stopped paying owed taxes ”when she withdrew from society at large due to what she perceived as manipulation and very real threats to herself and her family.”
So far there’s no word on who was actually doing the threatening and exactly what kind of threats were being made to Hill and her family, but TMZ says Lauryn is hoping that this new revelation, in addition to other factors will cause the judge to have mercy on her during sentencing. We hear she’s really hoping for probation, telling the courts that she can pay back owed money way faster if she doesn’t have to serve a prison sentence.
While we don’t know exactly what sort of threats could cause Lauryn to stop paying her taxes, we do know that her disappearance from the music scene was rather mysterious. Hopefully things work out for her.

“I Don’t Feel Emotionally Comfortable”: Mariah Carey Tells Barbara Walters That Nicki Threatened Her

While watching another very interesting episode of “The View” this morning (it’s actually over at 12), the topic of course came up about the whole Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey argument on the “American Idol” set in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday. Today, TMZ reported that Nicki and people in her camp think “American Idol” producers are using her to cause drama and get ratings. That’s why she’s allegedly just going to walk off of the set next time things between Carey and the rapper get less than friendly. Surprisingly though, Barbara Walters pulled out her notepad this morning and shared with viewers and her “high-risk” co-hosts that she had spoken with Mariah this morning about all the drama, and BOY OH BOY, did Mariah have some exclusives to drop.
According to Walters, Carey told her that while the show must go on and they’re back to promotion and filming for “American Idol,” she doesn’t feel emotionally comfortable as a judge right now. Why? Well, according to the butterfly-loving singer, Nicki Minaj threw threats at her during their argument when she walked off set. Carey said she and staff members on heard Minaj go to the back and say, “If I had a gun, I would shoot that b***h.”
Of course, Carey told Barbara that she feels that nothing will come from the threats and she thinks that Minaj was speaking from a place of anger. She says she has her concerns about how the two will work together in the future, but for the sake of the show and the job she signed up for, she plans to move forward. Nicki also said that the ladies had to sit down and talk about what happened with staff members to hash things out, and during that meeting, Nicki told her “I love you, but we might fight again.” In other words, it sounds like Nicki was asking her to get her diva-tude in check. However, Carey told her, “No we will not,” because she doesn’t want to put up with the drama anymore.
As the ladies continue on filming for the show, we hope there will be no more drama and no more huge attempts by FOX to get views by having these women nitpick at one another. After hearing all the different details about what happened, I’m not on anybody’s side–probably because I couldn’t care less about “American Idol” at this point. Seriously, I stopped watching once I realized the winners were all starting to look the same: white men with guitars…
But if you were wondering why the women actually fell out in the first place, Walters told the audience that Mariah said it all started when Nicki criticized something Mariah said to a contestant that she found to be rude–but did so in front of the contestant. With big egos, you know how it goes: Never try and put folks on front street in front of other people. Interestingly enough, the ladies of “The View” seemed to spend a lot of time chatting about Nicki’s alleged threats, saying that if she had written her threats as opposed to saying them in front of people, it would have been a federal offense, so she needs to get herself in order.
I guess so Barbara… But here’s to just hoping these ladies can be civil to one another and make this money! Besides, being uber-diva is so ’90s…
*Once clips from today’s episode drop, we’ll be sure to post them and update you.*

Halle Says Death Threats Are Why She’s Trying to Bolt to France

As much as some would like to think that Halle is trying to take little Nahla to France with her out of some sort of spite against Gabriel Aubry, and other media sources claim she wants to do so because she’s engaged to boyfriend Oliver Martinez, she says her hopeful move is to escape the threat of violence against herself or her family.
Berry filed the request to move to France with her daughter because, according to E! News, two men who are no longer locked up for stalking and threatening the actress are now out of jail. One who was actually convicted and sentenced to over a year in prison was released on Saturday, and while there is a 10-year restraining order against the guy to stay away from Berry and her family, she’s not feeling the concept of sitting back and relaxing to see what will happen next. In her complaint, she had the following to say about the man, whose name is Richard Franco:
“This person has invaded and trampled upon the most fundamental sense of security I have and I am extremely frightened of him and what he might do to me and those I love.”
On top of that, a man who was put in a mental hospital in ’96 after threatening to slit both Madonna and Berry’s throats (Madonna’s people shot him after he found his way on her property in ’95), escaped from a mental hospital last week. The fool was finally apprehended by police this afternoon.
This is some crazy mess straight out of the movies. Before folks jump to conclusions about her, I think we can all admit that this is a good reason to be worried or to want to move–however, I don’t know if France would have been my first thought for house-hunting, no matter how fabulous the place is (and yes, it’s very fabulous). I think from all the photos that have been taken of her, Halle needs to step up the security game around her, because she’s usually alone when she hits the streets for errands or goes out with Nahla. That might be the better idea as opposed to going far away from Gabriel Aubry and all that she’s used to. But I guess only she knows what’s best option or idea for herself and her baby. What would you do in this situation?

Health Care Outrage Risky for GOP
(LA Times) — Reporting from Washington – In the days surrounding passage of healthcare overhaul legislation, Republican lawmakers have been left to strike a fine balance between harnessing voter outrage and fueling it.
Examples of raw anger have piled up. A call to New York Democrat Louise M. Slaughter said snipers would “kill the children of the members who voted for healthcare reform.” Later, a brick smashed her Niagara Falls district office window. Hate messages jammed the lines of Michigan Rep. Bart Stupak, the anti-abortion Democrat whose last-minute support helped cinch passage. Law enforcement offered increased protection to at least 10 lawmakers, a security measure usually only afforded party leaders.
