It’s a been pretty gossip-filled month since the exit of Tamar Braxton from The Real. There’s been he-say, she-say about what really went down and why she was fired as a co-host, but nothing too concrete for us to comprehend. And from the looks of it, we’ll honestly never know.
However, today (June 22), in their first sit-down interview since all the drama, Adrienne Bailon, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, and Tamera Mowry-Housley shared their true feelings on Tamar not joining them for season three with Mario Lopez on Extra.
“First of all we want to let all of our fans know that we love them and we were totally taken by surprise when we found out that Tamar wouldn’t be returning to The Real, we love her,” Loni said. “We will miss her dearly,” Tamera added, after Mario noted that all five of the ladies seemed to get along from the outside looking in.
Well, with Tamar linking up with Steve Harvey for a show of her own and the ladies of The Real pushing on, it’s safe to say we can finally all put this issue to rest.
Press play on the video below and see what all the co-hosts had to say.
With the adorable little guy that Aden is, we should have known that Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adam Housley’s daughter, Ariah, would be a cutie. But she is one of the cutest kids ever!
The Real star put her little lady on display in a new photoshoot with Mini magazine, where she talked about being a working mom for the publication, which she says is for the “modern parent.”
Mowry-Housley and her little lady dressed up in their holiday best for the issue, and Mowry talked about everything from “mommy brain,” to balancing all her responsibilities, breastfeeding, and Aden bonding with his little sister, getting jealous of her, and then bonding with her some more:
Aiden’s first response was giving her a nickname. He saw her in this little glass basket at the hospital and he said, ‘Baby sister. That’s Ry-Ry.’ We thought that was the cutest nickname for her! When we brought her home that’s when the jealousy began. It was a challenging three months, but once she turned four months old, he was fine as she started to take him in. Aden would make her laugh and she recognized him. They’re cool and he loves to give her kisses now.

Tamera Mowry-Housley is opening up about motherhood in a recent interview with mom.me.
In it, she explains how having her baby girl, Ariah, (almost three months) has changed her life, how she gets son Aden, 2, to talk about his day and how she balances career and family. With husband and Fox News senior correspondent Adam Housley by her side, she says she’s “in the thick of it,” but is also giving herself a break.
What’s your favorite part of having a little girl?
I’d be lying to myself if I didn’t say I love dressing her up. I have so much fun with girl clothes. There are so many more options than boys’ clothes. There are great boys’ clothes out there, but you have to become a lot more creative, whereas with girls’ clothes, the sky is the limit.
How are you juggling parenthood with two small children, your co-hosting duties on “The Real” and all of your projects?
I just had a conversation with my girls (at “The Real”). It was hysterical, because normally during lunch we all have our private girl chats. They’re so great because I have to pump every lunch break and I’m sitting there, with my pump and my bra — and they’re just so open and so comforting.
[“The Real” co-host] Jeannie [Mai] said the cutest thing. At first, she was like, “Oh my God, this weirds me out a little bit, I have to be honest.” But I did mention, “Guys, I’m really trying to find the balance. I feel like I somewhat had an idea of what balance was with my son, but I have to learn new balance.”
I think what I’m learning right now is to just prioritize each day, each moment.
What ways do you encourage your son to talk about his day while having family dinners?
One of the things is actually getting them involved in the cooking process. When you have the child involved from the beginning to the end, you’re actually extending the sharing-a-meal process. The average time a family actually shares a meal together is 18 minutes, so when you make it fun and engaging, like actually having your child be a part of the cooking process, they’re a little bit more relaxed, they’re a little bit more open, and then you as parents can have more time with actually connecting and talking about their day.
I found out Aden’s best friend, yesterday, was Andrew, which I didn’t know. It’s cool to just hear them open up about his school day and his friends at school, what he likes to do.
When talking to your sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict, she mentioned that you have different parenting styles. She said she was more of an attachment parent while you were more traditional. What’s the best advice that you’ve gotten from or given to your sister?
Do what’s right for you and your family, and that’s what I have learned as I’ve gotten older and met with other moms. I’ve learned that everybody has their different parenting styles, but there’s one thing we all have in common, and that is take care of that child the best way we know how. To give that child love, and that’s what I focus on with my friends. I don’t so much focus on how different our parenting styles are. It’s the thing that we all have in common, and each family has different needs.
I have a little girl now, a newborn, and I’m exclusively nursing, so for me, I have to keep her on a schedule. But I’m actually not 100 percent traditional. I do the attachment style with the carrier. I love carrying my baby. I love the bond that I have with her. I’m so grateful for my job that I’m able to bring her to work, and I just feel so blessed to be able to have her with me all the time.
What’s your take on Viola Davis’ history-making Emmy win, especially being an African-American actress yourself?
I am so inspired as an actress. Being in the business — I have been in the business for a long time and see that it’s difficult. Yes, people are really loving African-American actresses, which is amazing. However, I want to get to a place where it’s not a trend, where we’re all just actresses. I love that we are appreciating the beauty and the skill and the talent of our African-American colleagues, and I just pray and hope that it’s more than just a trend — that it’s the face of the future. That all women of color — whether you’re black, white, yellow, brown, purple — we all have a chance to win and have amazing opportunities.

Congrats are in order for the actress The Real co-host and husband Adam Housley as they welcomed a daughter yesterday, July 1.
Ariah Talea Housley (her first name is pronounced like Mariah) — born at 2:54 p.m, weighing 10 lbs., 2 oz and measuring 20.5 inches — joins big brother Aden John Tanner, 2½.
“We are beyond overjoyed and blessed with our beautiful baby girl. Aden already made a welcome video for her,” the proud new parents tell People.com.
Once Mowry-Housley knew she was adding a baby girl to her brood, she couldn’t contain her excitement. “I love fashion and makeup, and now I get to have a little fun,” she said in February.
Also there for the birth of baby girl Ariah was Tamera’s co-host Loni Love, her bestie Andrea, and her brother “Baby Daddy star Taj Mowry.
Tamera Mowry-Housley is in for the home stretch in her third trimester and she’s taking her health very seriously.
This will be Tameras second child with her hubby Fox News Correspondent Adam Housley. The “Real” host only has a few more weeks and swimming has become her best friend.
She recently revealed that she has been working with LA Rox’s expert Helene Guzman. One of Helen’s tips: “The pool is a perfect environment for women to feel zero gravity pull from the baby bump.”
Tamera also shared her whole experience in her recent blog post. Check out this excerpt:
My Pregnancy Fitness Routine
Through this pregnancy I’ve been working with Helene of LA Rox. She was phenomenal during and after my pregnancy with Aden, so it was a no brainer to work with her again. Because every trimester our bodies change, Helene put together routines that target different muscles and a range of exercises to keep this momma motivated.
At the start of my first trimester the focus was on muscles that will be compromised during pregnancy. Here’s Helene’s list of each body part and why we focus on these early on:
The Lower Back – because we women hold so much weight from the baby bump.
The Shoulders – because they will be used a lot more for lifting baby and car seats etc.
The Legs – because they are the largest muscle group in our bodies and become weaker while pregnant. Most women have less energy during the first trimester and are less active. Leg strength helps with pushing the baby out of the body, so keeping those strong is the focus.
The Arms – because toned arms (biceps and triceps) make moms feel fit and leaner too.
The Chest and Hips – because they help keep the body balanced.
By combining pilates, yoga, core, strength and resistant training through intervals of 3-5 exercises – with bursts of cardio in between – Helene makes me sweat. It’s so gratifying afterward though!
By keeping my body strong throughout pregnancy we’re heightening my balance and strength. So when my girl is born, I’ll be stronger and more energized. A must when there will be plenty of sleepless nights and a family to take care of. And an added benefit to training while pregnant? Getting my pre-baby body back will be much easier. You mommas know what I’m talking about!
Tamera Mowry-Housley is glowing as she debuts her baby bump on the red carpet.
Wearing a one-shouldered Michael Kors gown, Mowry looked amazing at a Golden Globes after party this week. She showed off her growing baby bump in the form-fitting gown with a high slit that showed off her silver strappy heels. And since she is already glowing, she kept her beauty look minimal with just a pop of red on her lips.

We all—with the exception of Chrissy Teigen– were pretty excited to hear about Tamera Mowry’s second pregnancy.
And naturally that announcement came with questions: How far along was she? And most importantly, Is it a boy or a girl?
We got the answer to the first question in an Instagram post Tamera shared with her followers and the answer to that second question came on yesterday’s episode of “The Real.”
Initially, Tamera told her husband, Adam Housley, that she didn’t want to know the sex of their baby. But he did, so he had the doctor tell him and vowed to keep it a secret. But that didn’t last for long once Tamera was around her co-stars They all wanted to know and
pressured convinced Tamera that she did too.
Adam broke the news on a call on the show. Watch and see how it all went down in the video below.
If you couldn’t watch the video, it’s a girl!!! Yay! Congratulations again to Adam and Tamera!
Tamera posted this really sweet picture of her and her castmates sharing in the news. Take a look.
“This Is Me”: Tamera Mowry-Housley Lets Her Curls Shine On “The Real,” Says Her Husband Prefers Her Natural
Tamera Mowry-Housley showcased her hair in its naturally curly state for today’s episode of “The Real,” and she looked gorgeous (but when doesn’t she?)!
The beauty talked about cutting her hair off after doing a lot of damage to it:
“Obviously I did something a little different today. I’m a little nervous. Growing up on TV on you guys saw my natural hair. I have naturally curly hair, but throughout the years I always straightened it, I blow-dryed it, I put a hot comb to it. And I went through this really, really rough stage, rough patch of my hair where I had to do the big chop. Which is basically chopping all of your damaged hair off and starting anew. I was a little nervous because not many people are used to seeing me like this. This is me.”
She also talked about what other people in her life think about her hair, and having to deal with strangers trying to touch it:
“My husband loves my hair like this. He would rather me wear my hair curly all day every day than to straighten it. And that makes me feel great. There is one thing that I don’t like sometimes about wearing my hair curly: everybody wants to touch it. They’re all up in your face and you’re like ‘ooooh, wait, nooooo!’ My husband’s friend, sorry Dan, I’m gonna call you out. I went to visit him at work and he saw my hair like this and he literally said, ‘Does your hair grow out of your head like that? No, no, no, no, I think it’s cool! I’ve just never seen anything like that.'”

Kicking off Hot Seat Week, a segment where each host on “The Real” will be undergoing a lie detector test to reveal some interesting secrets, Tamera Mowry-Housley confessed to something rather surprising. The former child actor admitted that sometimes she wishes she wasn’t a twin. Check out what she said during the segment:
Tamar Braxton: Tamera, do you ever wish you were not a twin?
Tamera Mowry-Housley: Yes.
Tamar Braxton: Really?
Tamera Mowry-Housley: Yeah… Sometimes you just want to be your own person, you know? People see you as two people and I had to fight for a really really long time, along with my sister, to tell people that, “You know, we’re individuals.”
Watch as Tamera gets super emotional about the struggle of being a twin and make sure you tune into “The Real” on Monday, November 17 to watch the full segment. What do you think of her reveal?
“Don’t Mess With My Nephew”: Tamera Mowry-Housley Claps Back At Internet Trolls Who Criticize Cree And Blue Ivy’s Hair
Earlier in the month we told you about Tia Mowry having to check people on her Instagram page because they were talking ill of her son, Cree. The actress put topknots in the boy’s hair for an outing and people criticized her and the child, claiming that the style was too feminine. Her response was this:
“I am proud to have a SON that embraces his natural hair :). Hair length does not define your sex. Last I checked a pen*s and a vag*na does. Pick up a book, educate yourself, and embrace cultures outside of your own and maybe you will see that there are PLENTY of MEN wearing top knots and MEN with long hair. Here’s a shout out to all the moms who have boys and girls with natural hair! Live ON!”
Well, Tamera Mowry-Housley arrived a the Fox 2014 Emmy Award Nominee Celebration in LA after the Emmy Awards and was asked about attacks on Cree, as well as comments people make about Blue Ivy and children’s hair in general. She didn’t seem to be aware of comments made about her nephew’s hair or that Tia responded to them, but when Hip Hollywood asked her about it, she was upset about it, as expected:
“She did? I do know that Tia always feels like maybe people are always talking about her son or something like that. Wow…his hair.
I think people need to leave children alone. Who does that? You know what, it tells you a lot about them, than what they’re talking about. If you’re really going to go online and talk about a kid, and talk about like Blue Ivy…don’t mess with my nephew…that just tells me a lot about your character. That is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. Wow. People should be able to do whatever they want to do with their child.”
Say that Tamera! Check out Mowry’s comments below and share your thoughts:
