Tia Mowry-Hardrict

Earlier this week we told you about how actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict and her husband Cory Hardrict renewed their vows last Saturday to celebrate almost five years of marriage (it will be official tomorrow). And as she said on her website, tiaandtameraofficial.com, it was their son Cree who influenced them to go ahead and renew their vows:

Cree was actually my motivation and inspiration to renew our vows this year. Cory and I have this new miracle in our lives now and I wanted to celebrate our love, and what our love together created – our precious son!

And that’s exactly what they did on the beach in Malibu, California. Cree participated in the ceremony, Tamera and her new little family were there as well, and the shindig included about 20 guests, keeping things small. Photographer Elizabeth Messina captured many a special moment during the ceremony, as well as before and after, while a new blonde Tia (fabulous on her!) and her love Cory celebrated their love with family and friends. Check out more images from the beautiful ceremony on the next page.

Baby

Somebody is getting big! This little guy is the son of one of our favorite former TV stars and reality TV personalities. His mother was born in Germany to parents of both English-American and Bahamian-American backgrounds, and since she was a teen, she has been on television doing sitcoms and being hilarious alongside her sister. Mom is a born-again Christian married to a journalist, and just a few months ago, the couple brought this little bundle of cuteness into the world. So now that you know all that, this should be easy. Whose cute kid is this?

New mom and actress, Tamera Mowry-Housley recently utilized her blog, Tia and Tamera Official, which she shares with her twin sister to discuss the close call car accident that changed her life. Although Tamera was not actually involved in the accident, she says it helped her to realize how short life is. In addition to sharing her experience, she urged the site’s readers to seize the moment and live life freely. Check out her post below.

“The other day, Adam, Aden and I had a brush with a very scary situation. We were driving along on the highway, when all of a sudden the car in front of us crashed into the car in front of it. We watched in horror as the car flipped over and over and over again on the highway. It was terrifying…I still get chills now just thinking about it. Our life really flashed right before our eyes. We were the next car in the accident that had a car flipping more than once straight ahead of us across the freeway! Although the moment goes so fast, you actually feel like you are moving in slow motion. All I could think about was protecting our new son Aden. Once we got out of our car and helped the victims, I just held our lil baby and cried.

I was grateful for my lovely family and realized the fact that life is too short. Life is too short to not do what you have set your heart out to do. Life is too short to hold any grudges. Life is short, and life is beautiful. To have the gift of life is a blessing. Many die daily and if you are alive right now, then you have been given that gift. It’s important we live it to the fullest and not get stuck or preoccupied with the worries, fears or pain. Instead, all we can do is trust in God and live every day He’s given me to the very fullest.

Ladies, let me ask you: What is holding you back from living freely, loving fiercely and pursuing your dreams? We should all treasure every moment we have in this fleeting life and take every opportunity to pursue our passions. Life is too short put things off.

You can do anything you put your mind to, and today is the day to start making your dreams happen. I believe in all of you!

Live, breathe, love, help, give, and smell the frickin’ roses.
What is a passion you have that you’ve been scared of pursuing? A grudge against someone that you want to let go of?”

What do you think of Tamera’s “epiphany”?

Actress and new mom, Tamera Mowry-Housley took to Tia and Tamera Official, a blog that she shares with twin sister Tia, to address an issue that plagues many new moms: postpartum depression. In the blog post, Tamera reveals that she had actually suffered from depression in the past and offers advice to new moms who may find themselves in a similar predicament.

“I was so worried that I was going to get it because I have experienced depression before, and let me just tell you that it is no fun at all (obviously).  It’s a very scary situation to go through, and I was especially worried about going through it again after having Aden.  Luckily, I didn’t get it – but, I did do enough research to feel like I would be prepared if I did.”

She stressed that there is a big difference between PPD and “baby blues”.

“Know that there is a difference between PPD and “baby blues” – baby blues are normal and 50-80% of moms experience them. The symptoms are mild, with some ups and downs, weepiness and stress after the baby is born.  Remember though, baby blues only last about two weeks after delivery! Anything longer is considered PPD.  If you do think you have PPD, educate yourself on the issue. Knowing if you’re showing symptoms or at risk can help you be prepared if it arrives, and soften the blow.”

She also suggests that new moms surround themselves with an emotional support system.

“Believe me, you will need them! Your spouse and friends will be the key to getting through this – and you will, I know it.  Just make sure to get in touch with a therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist who specializes in the field if you suspect you have PPD. He or she will be able to give you a roadmap to recovery, with sleep and nutrition plans and physical and emotional support.”

The actress went on to encourage anyone suffering from PPD to seek the guidance of a specialist.

”There natural remedies that have been shown to be effective like fish oil and Vitamin B, but sometimes you need prescription medicine to do the trick. It completely depends on the individual woman and her own needs.  Just make sure to let your psychiatrist know if you are breastfeeding so you don’t get recommended something that may affect the quality of your breast milk.”

It’s great to see Tamera addressing such a serious issue, especially since this is a problem that plagues so many women.

I was sure that my heart was bubbling over when news broke that actress Tamara Mowry-Housley had finally given birth to her baby boy Aden, but now I think it might just POP! The 34-year-old first time mom took to her Twitter page last night to share a beautiful handwritten letter, which she composed for her 1-month-old son Aden. She posted the heartfelt letter on Tia and Tamera Official, which is a recent lifestyle site that she shares with her twin sister Tia. On Twitter, the actress tweeted, ”An open letter to my sweet little man. Mommy loves you sooo much,” before sharing the love note. Check out the full letter below:

Dear Aden,

You’ll get used to mommy’s tears eventually. I cry at everything. Once I heard I became pregnant with you, I felt a joy that I have never felt before and cried tears of joy. Mommy has wanted to be a mommy ever since she can remember. Once I met your father Adam and we knew we were going to be married, if we were going to have a boy I, me, knew your name instantly. To add to the joy of your arrival, discovering that you were a boy, mommy was even more elated. We had the perfect name for you Aden!

Counting down to your arrival, mommy was so nervous, excited, and anxious all in me. I just couldn’t wait to meet you. You see, lil booger, you took your time to come into this world. Almost two weeks late to be exact. I spent countless nights imagining what you were going to look like. I couldn’t wait to look into your beautiful eyes for the first time and hold you close. I also couldn’t sleep at night because I was hoping and praying that I would be the best mommy I could be to you. I felt very blessed that God has entrusted me with you.

When I saw you for the first time my heart melted and I couldn’t believe such a beautiful angel was mine. I am so thankful for you. Mommy couldn’t be more proud. I know our first four weeks were a lil wobbly. I’m new at this.

I fall in love with you each day even more. On the days and nights my eyes sting of exhaustion, I just look at that face of yours and all is well and VERY worth it. I love you son! Wow! Can’t believe I have a son. Mommy can’t wait to see you grow into a fine young man and I’m looking forward to our many fun adventures together. Love you with all of my heart and soul. I see theworld with new eyes because of you and I thank you for that my son.

Is this the sweetest thing ever or what? Check out an image of the actual handwritten letter  and more photos of Aden on the next page.

Djimon Honsou, who has been sort of MIA as of recent, stepped out to go shopping with his kids, Ming and Aoki, and little cutie patootie Kenzo with his huge ‘fro. The three were all smiles as they picked up trinkets and hit the town together. But where is Kimora?

Swizz Beatz and his little man Egypt Dean attended the Jeremy Scott show during the end of NYC fashion week last week, and for the event, they came out shaded up and iced out (I peep little Egypt’s bracelet). Can you say cute!? But real question though: When should a baby stop using a pacifier? People are always saying Egypt’s too big for his pacifier, so when do people usually pull those things out of their kids’ mouths?

While her mom, Brandy, ripped the stage at the V103 “For Sisters Only” event in the ATL this weekend, Sy’rai and her uncle, Ray J, hit the stage to support her and holler at the crowd. Somebody loves braids like her mom!

Toya and her twin, Reginae Carter, stepped out for a photo shoot for YMCMP (Young Money Cash Money Princess), the new clothing line for young women created by Birdman. Don’t the two look like twins? But I need Reginae to hand over those headphones though…

I also had to post this very cute photo of the mommy and daughter team, which Toya captioned: “Me and my first love.” Awwwww!

And who is this grown little lady? It’s Tichina Arnold’s daughter, Alijah Kai, of course! Posing it up for the cameras before the SPOILED! fashion show charity event in Los Angeles. She looks just like her mother and definitely seems to have the same silly but fun personality. Are those wedges?

And this mommy-to-be, Amber Rose, decided that now that the world knows she’s preggers, it’s time to show off that tummy! With her cute nerd glasses on and a big grin (and pink panties), she shared her excitement with the Twitter-verse: “Good morning Rosebuds & Rosestuds Our lil wizbud Is growing so fast ;-)

And just because she rocked some glasses for the display of her baby bump, we thought we’d share this adorable photo of Amber as kid rocking some bigger specs. Say cheese Lil’ Amber!

And lastly, we wanted to share this adorable photo of Tamera Mowry-Housley and her husband Adam Housley as they prepare for their newest addition to arrive. Tamera is due in October and as she nears the finish line, we can’t help but notice how much she’s glowing! Don’t you just love, love? Especially when it creates a bundle of joy, we sure do.

Tamera Mowry Spills On The Moment She Found Out She Was Pregnant and Breaking The News To Her Hubby

June 27th, 2012 - By Brande Victorian

Source: People.com

Expectant twin mommy Tamera Mowry-Housley has just joined People.com as their newest celebrity blogger and in her very first post, Tamera is spilling on the intimate moment she found out she was pregnant and the mixed set of emotions she experienced when she thought about the reality of being a mother.

“It took a while before the fact that I was pregnant settled in,” she wrote on Monday. “Once it did, I kept reciting to myself, ‘I’m going to be a mom. I’m going to be a mom.’ I will never forget the feeling that swept over me. I found myself pacing my room with excitement and experiencing a sense of joy I have never felt before.

“Once I got myself together, I immediately thought about how I would I tell my husband. I always wanted to do it in a creative way. I decided to text Adam a photo of four positive pregnancy tests — yes, you read right, FOUR positive pregnancy tests — and added, ‘HAPPY EARLY FATHER’S DAY!’

“Thirty minutes later, I still hadn’t heard back from him. I began to worry — was he in shock? I couldn’t wait any longer, so I called him and asked if he had seen his texts. He replied, ‘No’ and I happily told him to look. His response? ‘COOOL!!!’

Tamera said she took a pregnancy test after missing her cycle by just two days, but she noted that in hindsight she had been feeling really tired and crampy, which explains why she was quick to take a pregnancy test. After the worry of why Adam hadn’t responded to her texts went away, Tamera said a different type of worry set in.

“Once I called my husband, an interesting thing happened. The excitement died down and quickly turned into worry. ‘Is this normal?’ I thought. ‘Is this what being a parent feels like?’ Now that I knew I was pregnant, I became overwhelmed with so many emotions. I never knew how excited and overwhelmed you can feel at the same time.

“There are so many things to do and facts to find out. But not only that, so much information thrown at you all at once! How do I sift through it? I immediately downloaded iPhone apps and called my doctor and my mom. Now that I’m pregnant, where do I begin?”

Five months into her pregnancy with a little boy, Tamera’s no doubt figured out where to start by now, but it’s cool seeing her sift through the emotions so many new mothers have the moment they find out they’re expecting. Amidst the worry and anticipation, she hasn’t lost her sense of humor though. In her post, she cracked a joke about how people react to her husband’s job as a Fox news correspondent, covering fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, wars, and every other natural disaster you can imagine.

“Many people are terrified when they find out I married a man who works in dangerous places,” she wrote. “I simply respond with a smile and reply, ‘He loves his job and I think he’s s[w]exy when doing it.’ Hence, I am now knocked up. LOL!”

She’s so cute.
