Back in 2012, The View host, Sherri Shepherd, expressed that she and her hubby Lamar Sally were looking to expand their family. Due to the fertility issues that she has experienced in the past, she revealed that she would be venturing away from traditional methods, and seeking to have a child using a surrogate.
“I’m trying to have another baby you know, I’m still trying . . . still looking for a uterus,” the 43-year-old television personality told Rachel Ray.
“I’ll give you a free weave and a Hyundai for a year,” she joked.
“I don’t know how we’re going to have this baby because I’m in my forties and I can’t even remember my first son’s name. But I’m going to have another baby because I’m feeling good,” she continued.
It appears that the search is over. During an interview this morning with The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Sherri revealed that they finally found a surrogate and that they are seeking to have the baby as soon as possible.
“We found a drama-free uterus,” she told Tom.
“We found a girl that didn’t have any drama in her life. We’re putting in our egg and Sal’s sp*erm and we’ll let you know how it progresses,” she continued.
In addition to the new baby, Sherri is also looking forward to the official launch of her wig line, a new role in a new Chris Rock movie and promoting her new book, Plan D: How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes.
