Lil Kim Keeps It Short and Sweet About Who the Real “Stupid H*e” Is

After Kim spent the whole last year making songs and going on stages to deliver rants about why Nicki Minaj was her clone and wack, it seems she might finally be moving forward and growing up about the whole situation. And anyway after Nicki’s Grammy performance on Sunday, some folks are thinking Kim won’t have to worry about Nicki and her popularity too much longer (seriously, what was that!?). But before she finally tries to take the bigger person route, she took a shortcut and went on the Watch What Happens Live show on Bravo and had to answer the burning question about “Stupid H*e.” In the simplest of ways, in front of a crowd of fans who couldn’t wait for an answer about the song, Kim broke it down in a “it takes one to know one” type of way:
“I’m pretty sure I feel the same way everybody else feels right about now. If you have to make a song called ‘Stupid H*e’…then you must be the stupid h*e.”
That’s kind of funny. And there you have it folks. She could have kept going in, but that was pretty much the extent of her opinions on her rival for that moment–and I applaud her for leaving it there. Because all those threats and talking about erasing people’s social security numbers last year was way too ratchet for me. Hear what else she had to say on the topic below:
And have you heard her new single, If You Love Me? It’s decent. Check that out below as well…

Whoa! Talk about déjà vu. Not only did new female rapper Brianna Perry drop a video for her single called “Marilyn Monroe” last week, but weren’t we just having a conversation about black women’s fascination with Ms. Monroe?
Either way, Nicki Minaj, the woman of one thousand personalities, released her new track based around the struggles of being misunderstood and having her many good days and pretty crappy ones as well, and yes, it’s named after the old-school bombshell. This track is a total 360 spin compared to the controversial song “Stupid H*e” and its banned video. It’s definitely easier on the ears and brain, but still, after like a minute…I think I get the point. After this sing-songy track, her feature alongside Madonna for “Give Me All Your Luvin’” and that single she has with David Guetta called “Turn Me On,” is it just me, or is Nicki going completely pop these days? Hey, I guess that’s where the money is, so she better make it!
Lyrics in the song “Marilyn Monroe” include the following:
“I can be selfish, yeah so impatient, sometimes I feel like I’m Marilyn Monroe…Call it a curse, or just call me blessed, if you can’t handle my worst, you ain’t getting my best, this must be how Marilyn Monroe felt…”
Okay Nicki, we see you, and we’re glad you have insight on how Marilyn felt since you knew her like that. *side eye*
So what do you think of the track? Check it out below and let us know!

I’m sure you heard about the fact that the honorable folks over at BET decided to ban Nicki Minaj’s video for the track “Stupid H*e.” Depending on who you ask, that was an awesome decision to some sick of tasteless and mindless music, while it was a sexist and stupid decision by others. To keep it pretty real, BET is known for not having the best taste when it comes to music video choices, allowing the most ratchet and somewhat tasteless videos by rappers to get clearance but wanting women to stay ladylike: they’ve also banned Ciara’s sexually charged video “Ride,” and Teairra Mari’s pretty harmless “Sponsor” video. But all in all, I’ve seen a lot worse. We could run down a list of the very disgusting Tip Drill-esque videos BET has shown late at night with all the booty bouncing and credit card sliding, but instead, we’re running down some of our favorite stupid videos that we probably could have lived without seeing. If they were banned we probably wouldn’t have felt any real way about it (*Kanye shrug*).
