“They Were Boring As Sh*t”: K. Michelle Says Benzino And Althea Eaton Deserved To Get Fired From “LHHATL,” He Responds
When everyone found out that Benzino and Althea Eaton got the boot from “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” I think we can all agree that it was somewhat of a shock. Okay, a little bit of a shock. A lot of wild things are done for storyline purposes on these shows, but considering the fact that Joseline Hernandez went buckwild on everyone at the “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” reunion, and Benzino and Althea were a big part of Stevie and Joseline’s storyline, it seemed odd to cut them. Obviously, Benzino was pissed:
But surprisingly, one person who thinks the firing was justified is former “LHHATL” star, K. Michelle. She told Wet Paint why:
“If it’s your time to go, then it’s your time to go. I thought Benzino was wilding. I mean, they were boring as sh*t to me, so it is what it is.
I mean, there were other reasons they were let go that I’m not at liberty to say, and he deserved that, to be let go. It was a serious situation…I’m queen of “Love & Hip Hop.” And with Joseline and Stevie too, everybody else is replaceable. Bye! [laughs] I’m just being honest.”
A still testy Benzino was quick to respond, and took the time to do so on his website, Hip Hop Weekly:
“The thing with K Michelle is that you don’t want to get into a negative debate with a former cast member especially when the show did record numbers this past season after she left. I have had many successes in the industry for many years, so she has a long way to go before she can say anything about Zino. Bottom line is the facts are the facts; K Michelle came on the show in season one and made up a story about being beat up, which was a lie, which came out in her deposition in the case with her former boyfriend. When she left ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ after season 2 is when I stepped in and became a main character. I was intertwined with everyone’s storylines, so how is my storyline boring? And then from having Hip Hop Weekly on the show, to opening Sleazy & Zino’s, to my mom passing away and me getting shot, all of these were major parts of this past season. Also, I brought my fiancée Althea on the show, and she became a very important factor in the show’s storyline as well. We broke ratings records without K Michelle! If anything was boring, it was her involvement with the New York cast last season, you barely knew that she was even there. She better hope that her new show does better numbers than that VH1 special they did on her that basically flopped. She better hope it’s not a one and done like ‘Gossip Girls ‘, the Hot 97 show and ‘The New Atlanta.’ But once again, she is one of Mona Scott’s favorites–Mona manages her so of course I expected to hear K Michelle speak on their behalf. In my opinion it’s unprofessional to be the leader of a company and take sides and show favoritism, when it clearly was the whole cast, not just one person, that has made ‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’ so successful.”
But what do you think? Was Benzino and Althea’s storyline strong enough to keep them on the show? Do you think the couple being fired from the show was fair?
That Was You!? Reality Stars We Didn’t Realize Starred In Some Of Our Favorite Throwback Music Videos
Before the following individuals were known for snatching weaves, being called bullies and giving folks the creep eye, they were just trying to get their bills paid by doing music videos. But who knew they were popping up in some of our favorite music videos? Here are 10 reality stars who we never realized were in some of these popular music videos from back in the day.
Claudia Jordan In “Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine” By D’Angelo
Before her days flipping open briefcases for the game show “Deal or No Deal,” and waaaaay before she was made a regular on “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Jordan had the awesome opportunity to saunter around D’Angelo in his video for one of our favorite songs from the Brown Sugar album, “Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine.”
Some photos we just don’t have words for and this is definitely one of them. On Saturday Stevie J told the world he and Joseline were expecting a child when he announced on Instagram that there were “new additions” being added to the family. We secretly hoped that wasn’t true because, let’s be honest, do we really need these dysfunctional adults being responsible for someone else’s livelihood? Matter fact do we even know if they’re really married or not yet? Unfortunately, our wish did not come true and not only did Stevie J and Joseline confirm the rumors the other night, so did Johnny Gill!
The three entertainers were spotted out at the ATL Live on the Park event with this photo that tells all about the “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” stars’ future and we just can’t get over the way Johnny is grinning like this isn’t the hottest mess of hot mess pregnancies! Caption this pic of Stevie J and Johnny Gill rubbing Joseline’s baby bump and tell us what you think these three were chatting about pre-snap.
The second installment of the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” reunion revolved completely around Joseline Hernandez and her troubled relationship with Stevie J. It seemed like the perfect set-up for producers to further delve into the lives of Stevie and Joseline and explore why they are the way that they are. However, judging by a recent tweet posted to Stevie’s Twitter page, producers may have something a bit different in mind.
Coming Soon!!! #StevieandJoselineShow

Yes, it looks like there may be a spin-off in the works; however, fans seemed to have varied reactions to the news.

It would make perfect sense that these two would get a spin-off since often times that seems to be the solution when major stars of the franchise can no longer get along with their cast members. After fighting with her co-stars throughout the duration of last season, K. Michelle announced that she would be leaving the show to star in her own spin-off. The same happened with Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones after the pair fell out with co-star Yandy Smith and the show’s executive producer Mona Scott-Young.
Would you watch Joseline and Stevie’s spin-off?
During this season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” Benzino learned that his fiancée, Althea, had slept with his ex-best friend, Stevie J, prior to them getting together. Although such a shocking revelation would in most cases be enough to blow even the most solid of relationships to smithereens, the reality star decided to stick by Althea. In a recent interview with Rolling Out, Benzino defended his decision.
“The Stevie thing doesn’t bother me like it bothers everybody else,” he explained. “I’ve got a list of women … I don’t know if it’s good. My past has been brought up, as far as women in the industry. I’ve been with celebrities. ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ is about women … but it’s the same thing. I can’t too much remember what happens two weeks ago or a month ago or whatever.”
“I think that’s true love,” Althea chimed in. “When you’re getting through obstacles, it’s like you’re going through the worst to be happy and to be with that person. That’s like the test — to see if you really love that person.”
“That was a bad situation [with Stevie],” she continued. “Right after it happened, I realized … that I’d made a mistake.”
As for speculation that she’s only with Benzino for his money, Althea had this to say:
“I am new, so a lot of people don’t know that I have my own business or that I had a deal before.”
Strangely, the pair also confessed to realizing how much they loved one another after Benzino broke into Althea’s house.
“One time, she wouldn’t let me in the crib and I broke the window,” Benzino recalled. “And I climbed through the window.”
“That’s when I knew that he loved me,” Althea added. “And that’s when I knew I loved him.”
“I climbed in and I walked in and she was on the bed and I went and hugged her. But I got through the window. I’m getting through that muthaf—- one way or another. Now I got a key [laughs].”
Earlier this week, we told you that “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” cast member Althea Eaton filed a lawsuit against Joseline Hernandez for assaulting her at the series’ reunion show taping. In her suit, Althea also claimed that Joseline’s attack was fueled by drugs, which she allegedly consumed backstage the day the show was filmed.
Joseline’s purported husband, Steven “Stevie J” Jordan recently spoke to TMZ about the drug abuse allegations, which he of course claims are totally false. According to Stevie, Althea began spreading lies about Joseline’s alleged drug use before the reunion was even filmed. As for the lawsuit, the controversial reality star says that it’s simply a tactic for Althea to draw attention from the fact that Benzino slugged Joseline in the midst of the brawl.
“No grown man should hit a woman,” said Stevie.
Unsurprisingly, The Jordans say they have plans to countersue to Althea. Benzino, however, is already calling BS on his ex-friend’s countersuit, but he’s not denying socking Joseline either.
“It’s clear that him and his whore jumped off the couch and attacked us and whatever happened from there was merely self-defense.”
If it’s true that Benzino punched Joseline, he’s dead wrong; however, it’s interesting to note that he did try to prevent a physical altercation from happening a couple of months ago.
“Can someone please tell me why this animal keeps threatening my girl on TV?” he questioned in an Instagram post. “She went from a stripper to a street-walking prostitute to an escort and now a reality star. Althea has never once said anything bad about her, but trust the GREEN-SCREEN GANGSTA won’t lay a finger on her.”
“I can take the jokes and insults but when she keeps talkin’ about violence is where I draw the line,” he continued. “She need to go get her GED and uplift herself cause her music is lacking. I feel sorry for Sleazo violence will not be tolerated.”
Clearly, this drama is going to extend way beyond the next two installments of the reunion special.

I See A Strong And Weak Woman: Mimi Faust On What She Sees In The Mirror, Nikko & Concerns For Eva Around Stevie & Joseline
Mimi is an interesting character…and I do mean character. Try as she might to make us believe she really finds herself in these sketchy situations with one man after another; at this point, we all know that most of this is certainly staged for the cameras. It’s just too far fetched. I decided a while ago that “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” was just a soap opera, masquerading as a reality show. Still entertaining.
Either way, it’s entertaining to contemplate the stories she’ll tell in her next interview. This time she spoke with TheJasmineBrand about the ending of her relationship with Nikko, his wife, making up with K. Michelle, concerns for her daughter spending time with Stevie and Joseline and what she sees when she looks in the mirror. Take a look below.
Did you ever have any inclination that Nikko was married?
I’ll tell you what was very odd, the year before when Erica and I went to the psychic, the psychic said, ‘The guy that you’re with is married.’ I didn’t know what she was talking about. I wasn’t with Stevie but Stevie is my daughter’s father, so I just assumed that she was talking about Stevie. It never occurred to me that it was Nikko.
Have you spoken to him since the episode aired?
No, I have not. Absolutely not.
Have you ever met his wife?
No, never met his wife.
Does Nikko have any children
If he has kids, he doesn’t have any that I know about. And I did ask him and he said no.
What’s your relationship status?
We’re not together. There’s no relationship, there’s no status.
When did it end?
It hadn’t been good for a little while but that day that I found out that he was married, is when everything just got…it was just bad. And it was never right after that. I wasn’t able to get back on board with him with that was the case.
Did you see any red flags?
The wife would call an awful lot. And when I would ask him about it, he would say, that’s his ex, they’re still friends, they didn’t have a bad breakup like Stevie and I and they still communicate, would be his response. He would refer to her as his ex.
Do you feel like there’s any way you forgive him?
I can forgive him. I will probably never trust him again. Yeah, I can forgive him and move on.
Did his lying about the wife make you believe even more that he leaked the sex tape?
As far as the tape is concerned, the tape, the bag was stolen. That bag did not come off the plane. So I really cannot point my finger at him 100 percent.
A couple of months ago, we told you that Stevie J tested positive for marijuana and cocaine after he was arrested for owing the mother of his children over $1 million in unpaid child support. As a result, he was ordered to undergo pretrial drug treatment. It appears that the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star has complied with the court order.
According to TMZ, Stevie has managed to stay sober for seven weeks and as a result, he will not have to serve prison time—for now at least. As for the child support case, he is currently free on bail until things get sorted out, but in the meantime, he’s required to continue with his sobriety streak.
Hopefully Stevie can continue to stay clean, but we don’t know how easy that will be considering the rumors that his co-star and purported wife, Joseline Hernandez, is heavily abusing drugs. As you may recall, footage leaked to the web not too long ago of Joseline, who appeared to be under the influence of something, behaving erratically during a studio session.
Among the leaked clips is a video in which the recording artist and reality star is screaming about being a “dirty sl-t” who “gets butt-f—ed every night.”
Benzino Says Stevie And Joseline Are In An Abusive Marriage: ‘We’ve Heard Stories Of Her Pulling Guns On Him’
Several months ago, there were reports that Joseline Hernandez was being abused by her “husband,” Stevie J. But according to Stevie’s ex-friend, Benzino, Stevie is actually the one being abused.
“It’s funny because a few months ago somebody put some pictures out and said that Stevie was abusing her, but the truth is it’s the other way around,” Benzino told Vlad TV. “She abuses him.”
“When you see Stevie and Joseline episodes from season one, it’s just always about her disrespecting him whether it’s her punching on him,” he continued. “I think she ripped his ear off where he had to get stitches. There’s pictures of him being abused by her.”
Benzino went on to say that things have gotten so bad, Joseline has pulled out guns on his former friend.
“We’ve heard stories of her pulling guns on him and all kind of stuff. Hitting him in the head with a red bottom while he was sleeping. I mean he’s taking abuse from her,” Benzino said. “I didn’t see it. This is what he was saying. One time it was a shotgun around and she pulled it out, pointed it at him and it was no bullets in it….supposedly. She’s nuts. The girl is crazy.”
I mean, we’ve witnessed Joseline pop off on Stevie multiple times, so these allegations certainly aren’t far fetched. But do you think Benzino is exaggerating due to his falling-out with Stevie?
“They’re Some Real Clowns” Ex Manager Dawn Heflin Talks Stevie & Joseline’s Drug Use, Bold Lies & Freaky Sex Lives
To say that Joseline’s former manager Dawn Heflin is a bit bitter about the way things went down with Stevie and Joseline this season would be an understatement. Some of us remember watching Dawn throw Stevie’s business and his papers in his face when he told her Joseline was dunzo. And while some of us might be wondering why she was so upset about leaving Joseline and Stevie and all of their messiness, in an interview with VladTv, Dawn explains that she did quite a bit to help Joseline out just to be left out in the cold like that.
And so when she was asked to spill some tea on Joseline, Stevie and their relationship, she was more than ready to talk.
See what she had to say and in the full transcript below or watch the video.
VladTV: There was, about a month ago, a sex tape with Joseline, a guy and a girl that leaked out. What’s up with that?
Dawn Heflin: Joseline’s been a slut. You feel what I’m saying? She was sleeping with one of Stevie’s friends who was with them producing. That’s what she did. She slept with like two or three guys. There’s video of her sleeping with three different dudes on stage. She’s sucking a$$, they sucking pu$%y. I mean, it is what it is. That’s who she is. She still likes women, she still likes men. Stevie’s f*#king a nail tech, she and the nail tech are cool. I guess that’s what they like.
VT: Working with Joseline, what were some of the craziest things that you saw?
DH: The craziest thing was her snorting cocaine. She used to always talk about how the people in the club wanted her to do that. But that was the craziest thing I ever saw because she always used to talk bad about people that did it. And then when I confronted her about it, it was basically her and Stevie. She was like Stevie put her on it. And that’s what she likes to do. Because I always wanted to see why she didn’t do a work out video. But the loss of the weight wasn’t from the workout, it was from getting high from the coke and the molly and they smoke that weed and they do what they do. That was basically like the craziest thing because she always downplayed it or talk bad about others. So, when I actually saw her do it, that was like the worst sh*t I could have seen, coming from her.
What she wants people to know.
DH: I really just want to let everybody know, these two frauds–like I said before– they’re just living a lie. We all know they’re not married. They can’t produce a marriage certificate. Poor Eva comes over to the house…Joseline despises Eva just because of Mimi. Mimi’s never done anything to Joseline and it’s like she just wants to make this thing so personal with Eva. I’m just surprised that Mimi would still even allow Eva to still go to the house.
Even Stevie’s father doesn’t like Joseline, he knows how she is. I think she just got caught trying to sleep with one of Stevie’s friends in the house while Stevie was away, a guy named Rich. It’s just so much that goes on with them.
And you know the music, even with the music, she always wants to push this music that’s straight garbage. And then you look at Stevie, coming from being a Grammy award winning producer, it’s like where does the line draw? Has he lost his ear for music, for good music or is he putting out some stuff just to appease his girlfriend? I don’t know what it could be. All I know is that when I started this thing with them I signed for Joseline a place, paid her light bill, paid her gas bill. I also furnished all her clothes for first season, her shoes, her shoe game wasn’t up, her purse game wasn’t up. Second season, she tried to elevate a little but really couldn’t do what she wanted to do because she still had bills and trying to help Stevie out with his broke a$$. I mean it just…both of them just robbing Peter to pay Paul. You ’round here acting like you’re living good but that’s not the case. And I want to give a shout out to Johnny Cabel (sp) for even allowing them to stay in his home. They’ve destroyed most of the home by knocking the blinds out, they fight all the time. It’s just crazy. And then they left the lights and the gas in Johnny’s name and the cable bill, it’s not being paid. They about to turn the lights off. It’s just so much going on with these people, they’re some real clowns.
I can understand why Dawn is a little perturbed but it’s interesting that all of the foolishness didn’t seem to bother her until she was fired. It makes you wonder what type of stuff was she doing that allowed her to even associate herself with these “clowns” as she calls them.
