Tashera Simmons Asks Why Rappers Can Talk About How Many Times They’ve Been Shot Up But Women Can’t Tell Their Stories On TV
Tashera Simmons is totally crushed that new reality show, “Starter Wives” was canceled after just a few weeks on air. And some say she could be pinning the cancellation on 50 Cent.
Shortly after TLC announced its decision to only air the show online, 50 took to Twitter to take the credit for the move.
Last week he called the show “trash” and jokingly bid good luck to the cast members, hoping everyone would eventually find work.
He then followed up by saying the ladies on the show are just “angry ex girls.”
Tashera then responded to the announcement, expressing her disappointment that the show has ended so soon.

Messy, Messy: Josie Harris On Why She’s Still Sleeping With Floyd Mayweather Even Though He’s Engaged And Hit Her
Yeah, we didn’t understand that either so we went ahead and asked Josie about her confusing relationship with Floyd Mayweather at the “Starter Wives” premiere last week. Check out her explanation for still sleeping with her ex, who also happens to be engaged and out of jail after physically assaulting her. Thoughts?
Josie Harris On Dating After Floyd Mayweather: ‘I’m Waiting For Anybody To Enter As Soon As Possible’
One thing that’s for sure about Floyd Mayweather’s ex, Josie Harris, is she’s no Liza Morales. While Lamar Odom is all Liza’s ever known, Josie let it be known during the premiere screening of “Starter Wives” that she’s single and ways past ready to mingle. When we caught up with the cast member of the new TLC show, she had a lot to say about life after Floyd — and the things she learned from her relationship with him. Check out the interview.
‘Starter Wives’ Zakia On Rapper Maino Being A Good Dad Even Though He Wrote A Song About Ways To Kill Her
Zakia Baum is one of the stars of the new TLC reality show, “Starter Wives,” and if you saw the first episode Tuesday night, you’d know she’s a bit…eccentric, shall we say. We chatted with her at the premiere for the new show last week and had to see just how changed the born-again “Christian Woman” is from her days of trying to fight some of her cast members. We also had to know the status of her relationship with her ex and father of her child, Maino, after he dropped a rather disturbing song detailing ways he wanted to kill her. Check out what she had to say.
Liza Morales Tells MN How She Feels About ‘Khloe And Lamar’ And Why She Thinks Her Ex Will Watch Her On ‘Starter Wives’
I think a first in television history may be happening right now. Two exes are starring in reality shows at the same time, and while neither one is on speaking terms with the other, they’re talking a lot about one another to the cameras. That’s the case with Liza Morales, star of TLC’s new reality show “Starter Wives,” and her ex-fiance Lamar Odom, who now is a part of the Kardashian franchise and pops up on camera whenever Kris Jenner and Ryan Seacrest say so.
Liza has had a rough time since her split from Lamar and the death of their third child and when we caught up with her at the “Starter Wives” screening she had some surprising things to say about her time since she and Lamar split four years ago, and just how much contact she, her ex, and her ex’s wife, Khloe, keep in touch. Check out the exclusive.
‘Iyanla Got In His A**:’ Tashera Simmons Gives Us A Preview Of ‘Iyanla Fix My Life’ And Why She Wouldn’t Film With DMX
When we announced that DMX was going to appear on the second season of “Iyanla Fix My Life,” I’m pretty sure the heavens opened up and an angel descended from the clouds above. Never have any of us been so excited about someone appearing on a reality type show before, but we all know DMX needs help — a lot of it — and that’s why we had to ask his soon-to-be ex-wife about his appearance on the show when we caught up with her at the premiere of “Starter Wives.”
Tashera is one of six women who will appear on the new TLC reality show featuring the exes of popular celebrity men who were basically with these guys from the start but got kicked to the wayside somewhere along the way, like after the fame came. Tashera and DMX tried reality TV once to make their relationship work when they appeared on “Couples Therapy,” but Tashera wasn’t willing to do that again when the opportunity to participate in “Iyanla Fix My Life” came around. She did participate for her own healing though, and as she told us last week, Iyanla not only got in DMX’s butt, but her’s too. Check out what she had to say about the experience in the video above.
Tashera Simmons is destined to become a reality TV repeat offender because according to The Huffington Post she has been added to the cast of a new show on TLC about the exes of famous men that we told you a little bit about last week.
Earlier this year, we saw Tashera trying to work through her issues with her rapper husband DMX on VH1′s “Couples Therapy.” Now since things didn’t work out and Earl Simmons is now her soon-to-be ex-husband, it’s only right she get on another reality show about life after DMX, right?
Apparently that’s the plan and from my view, “Starter Wives,” the name of TLC’s new series, is clearly going to be the hood version of “Hollywood Exes” if the line-up the Post is reporting is accurate. According to the site, these are the leading ladies who will be joining Lamar Odom and 50 Cent’s exes, which we mentioned last week.
Zakia Baum: Ex-girlfriend of Jermaine “Maino” Coleman and mother of his son.
Cheryl Caruso: Ex-wife of mobster Phillip Caruso and mother of his two daughters.
Josie Harris: Ex-girlfriend of Floyd Mayweather and mother of his three children.
Monica Joseph-Taylor: soon to be ex-wife of Aston “Funkmaster Flex” Taylor and mother to his two children.
Tashera Simmons: Ex-wife of Earl “DMX” Simmons and mother of four of his children.
Liza Morales: Ex-girlfriend of Lamar Odom and mother of his three children.
Shaniqua Tompkins: Ex-girlfriend of Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and mother of his son.
I’m not trying to knock anyone’s hustle, but most of these women we’ve never even heard of — and the men they were with are nowhere near on the same level as the guys the ladies of “Hollywood Exes” were married to. But then again, the entire cast of “Love & Hip Hop” were unknowns at some point and 3.5 million viewers still tuned in faithfully to their drama every Monday night. I just don’t want this to be another hood booger, my ex-man ain’t ish type of show because if you’re not with him anymore, why is he still relevant to your life? And if it’s because you have children together, you need to think about whether it’s really beneficial to speak ill of their father on national TV.
Regardless of my speculation on that note, it’s clear The Learning Channel (TLC) is interested in transitioning into the semi-ratchet channel and getting in on some of that VH1 cash money with a show like this that doesn’t just include black rapper wives but a mobster too. TLC is an equal opportunity exploiter though considering the success of their “Toddlers and Tiaras” pageant spin off ”Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” I just hope these women can keep the fighting to a minimum.
