They grow up so fast, don’t they? Once the scrawny Baltimore kid on “The Wire,” Michael B. Jordan has definitely added some weight and muscle to his physique and his career in recent years. After “The Wire,” he went on to play quarterback Vince Howard on Friday Night Lights. He is currently working on NBC’s Parenthood, playing the role of a recovered alcoholic. We don’t know much about Jordan on the personal side, but we know he’s stayed out of trouble and has stayed focus on his acting.

Get ready to renew your subscriptions ladies. Our favorite, Hot, British-accented, masculine, gorgeous actor is once again gracing the cover of Essence magazine. And you know we ain’t mad at that!

Essence knows that putting Idris Elba on the cover over and over again will never get tired because he is the quintessential dream guy, occupying a fantastical place in the minds of many Black women looking for their prince charming. Who cares that he knocked up a former stripper and has two baby mamas? At the end of the day, Elba is one of the few Black male entertainers out there that exudes grace and masculinity. Keyword here being masculinity. Nobody every wonders if he may be swinging or creeping across the gender line.

In the interview, Essence.com teases that Elba dishes on what he’s attracted to in a woman. Although he’s discussed the subject many times before, we can only guess that he’ll stick to the same script about inner beauty and what not. But let’s see if Keri Hilson comes up in the interview. Hilson and Elba have been seen hugged up at several events over the months. Could she he be his new baby mama? We hope not. We need our dream man to stay single, available and in the running to be my next boo.

Boris Kodjoe will be back on the small screen very soon! He starred in the romantic spy series “Undercovers,”   but that was canceled after only 11 episodes. Kodjoe has a chance at redemption with a role on a new ABC series called “Georgetown,” a hour-long drama about the scrappy staffers behind the country’s biggest politicians in DC.

Whenever you’re not in the mood to get down with your man, skip the headache excuse and start crying! According to research published in the journal “Science,” the smell of a woman’s tears lowers a man’s arousal and testosterone levels.

The men in the study didn’t even see the women crying.  Researchers collected women’s tears on special pads and placed them on the upper lips of the male volunteers.  Saline solution was used on some pads instead of tears and sure enough, the tears were what caused men to lose that loving feeling, not the saline.

The big deal about this study is that it’s the first time that findings have suggested that there is some kind of chemical communication that goes along with tears.
