Can You Guess Whose Cute Kid This Is?

Look at those beautiful eyes! This cute kid is in the center of some social media mess this week as her father was exposed in a messy sort of way. He is a pretty popular (and huge in size) NBA star who ditched college for the big leagues. He is a seven-time All Star, three time Defensive Player of the Year, the 2008 Slam Dunk contest winner, and currently plays in Los Angeles alongside Kobe Bryant (even if they don’t REALLY get along like that). As for this cutie patootie’s mother, she’s said to be a personal trainer and a fitness model, which you’ll understand once you see her body, because homegirl has been doing her sit ups.
So whose cute child is this? You have no clue do you? Click on the next page and find out!
Quit Fronting: Royce Reed Fuels Talk That Shaunie Isn’t Responsible For ‘Basketball Wives’
Despite Royce not being included in the upcoming season of Basketball Wives, she hasn’t allowed this “minor” detail to hinder her ability to fire shots at her former cast mates. In her latest Twitter rant, the former Basketball Wives star calls out Evelyn Lozada for talking trash about her and attempts to thrash Shaunie O’neal, by co-signing on Gloria and Laura Govan’s claims that Shaunie is doing some serious fronting and that she is in fact not the original creator of the Basketball Wives franchise.
While we’re not exactly sure what Royce is claiming Evelyn said about her, whatever it is, she seems to be fighting mad about it.
“Still tryna figure out y @EvelynLozada keeps my name n her mouth if I’m so irrelevant?” she tweeted.
“U stopped filming w/me bcuz I punk’d ur a**,” she continued, alluding to the rumor that she was cut from the show’s cast because Shaunie and Evelyn refused to film with her.
“I’m also not 1 2stay quiet 4 too long whn u keep talkin ish! Period!” she wrote seeming to have reached some sort of breaking point.
Royce didn’t stop there though. I guess she figured while she was handing out licks, she may as well as get at everyone. Next on her list was Shaunie O’neal. She pulled no punches as she hopped on the bandwagon where folks are claiming that Shaunie is merely a puppet and not the original creator of the Basketball Wives franchise.
“Had 2 say it. Also Tom Huffman is the idea behind Basketball Wives. NOT Shaunie O’neal. She turned it dwn 4 Love Shaq that nvr aired.”
While the Govan sisters made claim that Shanuie wasn’t responsible for Basketball Wives: LA, everyone pretty much assumed that Shaunie was behind the franchise as a whole, but now Royce seems to be ringing the alarm on that as well. It’s hard to tell whether or not Royce’s claims are accurate or if she’s just a disgruntled ex-employee, but I can’t see Royce confirming anything that comes out of Gloria’s mouth unless it were true, considering that the two became sworn enemies during season one of the show.
What do you think of Royce’s angry Twitter rant?

I’m Gonna Do What I Have To Do: Royce Defends Herself Against Custody Battle Critics
On Monday we told you how the custody battle between reality television star Royce Reed and NBA player, Dwight Howard over their son Braylon had taken a bizarre turn as Royce filed a motion petitioning for Dwight to be made financially responsible for her legal bills because she could no longer afford them and had already racked up a tab for $44,113.50 that is expected to increase by another $60K. Her reasoning behind filing this motion was that Dwight’s healthy bank account would allow him to easily hire an army of lawyers, which would force her to drop out of the case because she could no longer afford to pay her attorneys.
Her claim that Dwight’s ability to “outspend” her made the battle an unfair fight left many looking at her with the side eye just because it seemed unreasonable for her to ask for Dwight to foot the bill for his oppositions defense against him in court; however Royce took to her Twitter page to address the critics.
“We will never struggle… Period! Braylon will always have the best! That’s what I fight for!”
“Mom Law: My son deserves the best & rather than take food out his mouth, the roof from over his head, an education, extracurricular activities, great Birthdays & Christmases, the smile off his face, I WILL file necessary motions. Judge that if u live in a Glass House!”
Royce’s extreme mommy instincts seem to be kicking in as she appears to be doing all that she possibly can to win this battle against Dwight who is battling her for sole custody of their son. The judge handling the case has yet to make a decision as to whether or not Dwight should be responsible for Royce’s legal bills, but for the sake of Braylon, we hope the two-year custody battle ends soon. Possibly instead of fighting for sole custody to spite one another, the two could reach some sort of joint custody agreement.
What do you think of Royce’s response?

Fo’real? Royce Reed Wants Dwight Howard To Pay $100K So She Can Battle Him In Court
In random “Basketball Wives” news, it is being reported by TMZ that reality star Royce Reed, the mother of Los Angeles Laker’s center Dwight Howard’s son Braylon, is petitioning that the judge handling their ugly custody order Dwight to foot the bill for her legal fees. Yes, you read correctly. Royce wants the man she is battling in court to pay for her defense efforts against him. It seems that Royce believes the fight for sole custody of Braylon is an unfair one because Dwight has enough money to “outspend her.”
Royce filed the petition in Florida stating that she is no longer in the financial position to afford those steep legal bills she’s been racking up lately running back and forth to court with Dwight. She claims that because Dwight brings in $1.3 million each month, he is able to hire the best attorneys and that he can even hire an entire team of attorneys which would only leave her swamped in legal bills that she can’t afford and that this would eventually cause her to drop of out of the battle.
The court documents reveal that so far Reed’s bill is a whopping $44,113.50 and it is expected to increase by another $60,000 if she and Dwight continue to battle it out in court, summing her legal bill up to $106,621,80.
It seems that being cut from Basketball Wives came at the worst possible time for the 30-something single mother. Yes, she is probably correct when she says that Dwight has the ability to pulverize her with a team of great lawyers, but she’s completely delusional if she thinks he should be responsible for paying her legal fees — although that typically is how these things go among the rich and the famous. See Usher and Tameka Raymond as exhibit A. So far a judge has yet to rule on her claim, but I would be surprised if the outcome of the ruling is in her favor.
Hopefully the couple is able to reach an amicable agreement for the sake of their child who would most likely benefit the most from having both parents in his life.
Do you think Royce has a decent argument for wanting Dwight to pay her legal bills?

You Need More People: Shaunie Says She Was ‘Blindsided’ By Basketball Wives Cuts
After “Basketball Wives” creator and executive producer Shaunie O’ Neal announced that she wouldn’t return to “Basketball Wives” for Season 5 unless three castmembers were cut, Kesha Nichols, Royce Reed, and Jennifer Williams all received pink slips. Now all of a sudden Shaunie is saying she was totally “blindsided” by the cut.
“Basketball Wives” star Shaunie O’Neal says it’s not her fault three cast members were axed … telling people she learned the news when everyone else did …
But Shaunie is telling friends, despite the accusations, the cuts were NOT made by her. Sources close to Shaunie tell TMZ she was blindsided by the news. Shaunie says the production company leaves her in the dark about everything after she butted heads with them over the violent direction the show was headed (i.e on-air brawls and cat-fights).
According to our sources, Shaunie is upset over the current situation and wants Shed Media (the production company) to know she is willing to walk away from the series if it becomes something she no longer believes in.
So, Shaunie expects us to believe that she had nothing to do with the cuts? Is Shaunie redefining the word “blindsided” to mean “not blindsided at all” the way her show has redefined “wife” to mean “not married to anyone”? Maybe Shaunie is saying that she was blindsided by who got cut — especially since many thought it would be Tami and Evelyn. Still, it is hard to believe that she isn’t exerting control over who is in and who is out.
Further, her threats about walking away from the show if it becomes something she no longer believes in doesn’t make sense. What could possibly happen now that would make her walk away considering she has stayed put despite what happened last season?
Shaunie trying to distance herself from the problems on that show is ridiculous considering she is the creator and executive producer. But I guess the reality show star’s finger pointing isn’t surprising considering she has already said: “I won’t take responsibility for what [the show] has turned into.” Clearly, she will place the responsibility on any and everyone else instead. Shaunie is hard to believe though because, like with this most recent backpedaling, it is evident she is all about the drama both on-screen and off.
Do you think Shaunie is really in the dark about “Basketball Wives?”

Basketball Wives, cuts, fire, Jennifer Williams, Kesha Nichols, O'Neal, reality, Royce Reed, shaunie, showAnd Then There Were 4: Shaunie Gives 3 BBW Cast Members Pink Slips

It’s a good thing I didn’t place a bet on who I thought Shaunie was cutting from “Basketball Wives” because I would have been wrong. My prediction was that she would leave the show (just as a cast member, I know she’s not walking away from the producer end), and cut Kesha and Kenya since they didn’t really add anything to the show this season, except being punching bags for Tami and Evelyn, but I was only right about one choice.
According to TMZ, Shaunie has cut Kesha Nichols, Royce Reed, and Jennifer Williams from returning next season and the girls will find out the news any day now—although if they read blogs they already know. The supposed reason is that they’re “dead weight,” but if that’s the case, Suzie should have been cut a long time ago because she didn’t even instigate any drama last season and it’s been painfully obvious from the beginning that that’s her only storyline.
It’s not hard to see why Jen is cut, considering her lawsuit and all, although how ironic that when she and Evelyn makeup she gets cut. Can’t have two people actually getting along on one season can we?
TMZ hears Royce was cut because she wasn’t legally allowed to talk about Dwight Howard due to a 2009 gag order, so basically she didn’t have enough drama either— Although that’s nothing new. The main reason is likely the fact that Shaunie and Evelyn refused to tape with her so unless she started dating another man before tapping began, her storyline would be pretty dead too.
I can’t even imagine who they’ll find to replace these three, although I’m sure it won’t be as hard as I imagine. Evelyn’s assistant Nia would fit in perfectly with her slap-happy ways. She better snag herself a baller within the next few months if she wants to actually get paid rather than sued for acting a fool.
Are you surprised at the three Shaunie cut?

Royce Reed Could Go Far In Life, But Is She A Fool For Love?
Royce is turning out to be the “Basektball Wives” cast member with the most sense. That’s evident from the story lines we see of her building her acting career and participating in charity events. It’s also clear from the company she doesn’t keep, although it’s quite amusing that the two women who have been involved in every instance of drama this season—Evelyn and Shaunie—refused to film with her while Royce has been doing her thing professionally on her own. It’s also funny Evelyn doesn’t mind taping with the woman she supposedly hates more than anyone else in the world, Jen, but that’s for another discussion.
During an interview with TT Torrez at iPower 92.1, Royce talked about being sort of the outcast of the group—outcast meaning the only one not involved in drama—and she told the host:
“When I first started the show my primary purpose was to clear up the image that had been given to me. It was kind of hindering me from pursuing my career because of what people thought of me and when that image stared changing, I thought its time for me to focus on my real life outside of arguing with people.”
Royce has been able to distance herself from the negativity all of the other girls have received after fighting for a better story line, she says, but she’s picked up another label along the way: a needy woman who can’t be without a man. During the interview, TT put Royce on blast a little bit by pointing out that she’s been coupled with a different man on every season of “Basketball Wives.” Her statement was a tad inaccurate because Royce was single during season 1 but after that she was coupled with Dwayne, then Bryan, and now Dezmond, whose public approval rating has completely tanked since his very public social media sexting fiasco. When the host asked Royce if she thinks she might really be needy like her father said she is on a previous episode, she responded, “I don’t have to have a man but I don’t like being alone either.” And she’s not alone now because when it comes to Dezmond and the breakup everyone thought would happen, she said:
“We’re good. As far as the whole thing that went on online, that situation is crazy. I understand why he did it, yes it was wrong, but the fact is Dezmond never cheated on me.
“I’m not going to leave Dezmond because of what the world thinks that I should do. I love him, he loves me, and I’m not going to leave him for the one thing that he did wrong when there were so many other things that he did right.”
That would be cool if Dezmond shut down that drama before it hit the web but Royce seems to be missing the fact that there’s a reason the baby mama of her boyfriend or fiance or whatever he is still has some attachment to Dez, because he was sending her more than suggestive messages. And let’s just be real about it, if he denied he was even sending the sexts in the first place, until the evidence slapped him in the face, he could just as easily be lying about not acting on them. For some reason Royce doesn’t see it that way, or else she’s willing to wait until he grows up. She told the radio host.
“[Dez] knows it was wrong and he knows it was humiliating and embarrassing to me but I’m also not oblivious to the fact that Dez is young.”
Old enough to know better but still young enough to do it? That sounds about right. The age difference between Royce and her boyfriend wouldn’t be a big deal under different circumstances but with her being 31 and clearly ready to walk down the aisle, and him being 22 and just a couple of years into the league, eight months into their relationship, and a couple months post-nasty picture sending, the odds of this panning out just aren’t in her favor. Royce fully intends to participate in the next season of “Basketball Wives”—if there is one—and when the radio host told her she better not appear on season 5 with a new man, Royce promised she wouldn’t. That may be the case, but I’d be surprised if she showed up with Dezmond, unless she just refuses to see the writing on the wall.
Check out the audio of Royce’s interview below. Do you think she should make smarter choices when it comes to men and relationships like she did with her career?

The Sole Voice of Reason? Royce Calls Out Tami and The BBW Gang For Embarrassing Black Women
by Marissa Ellis

Tami didn’t know it but she just gave all the boycotters of Basketball Wives more material to work with on last night’s episode of the show, which was taped before the anti-Basketball Wives action surfaced. Now, even castmate Royce Reed is weighing in on Tami and company’s aggressive ways.
Last night’s episode showed the gals arriving in Tahiti. On the car ride from the airport to the hotel, Tami goes in on Keisha because she’s coughing a little too much for her liking. In the spirit of a true bully, Tami defends her right to harass a sick woman’s coughing because of her dislike of germs. SMH. And this all went down within minutes of being on the island. The rest of the episode was full of the ratchedness we’ve come to expect. Read what Royce blogged about last night’s episode:
I was honestly just hoping Kesha didn’t say her skin hurt. Tami seemed as though she was trying to find something to get upset about and she chose a cough. From the way the girls were seated in the car, to laughing and making faces behind Kesha’s back if you take a screen capture from that scene and mine from the van in Spain, it’s almost identical.
I’m not sure what happened to Tami, but this isn’t the woman I’ve gotten to know. To see these women gang up on someone who has done nothing to them is embarrassing. I say ganging up because NO ONE did anything to stop it. If you don’t say anything you then become part of the problem. Who cares if Kesha was scared to get in the ocean with sharks and stingrays, I don’t believe I saw any of your asses in a swimsuit jumping in the water either. How are you going to call someone else scary when at least they put on the attire instead of saying “Oh Hell NO” in confessionals?????
I applaud Suzie and Kesha for appreciating what Tahiti had to offer and attempting to stay drama free. I find it amazing when alcohol is used as liquid courage and an excuse to turn into the HULK. Most times I drink, I get emotional, horny, and just want to dance…..:side-eye: lol. But if you know that drinks cause you to have a temper, why indulge just because everyone else is? The whole scene with Tami and Kesha I shook my head. At some point you have to look at yourself and say “Damn, that wasn’t a good look. I need to change the way I speak to people and handle things because I look crazy.” If you don’t see it, your “so-called” friends have and should tell you the same. Tami, if Evelyn and Shaunie found no problem with Kesha’s questions, it wasn’t up to you to find one. Tami, if you HEARD Kesha said all these things about you, why not call out the person who told you so you can get all three parties together.
I’m sure THAT PERSON was probably sitting at that table. I have an idea of two people who could’ve said it. One is known to talk a lot, and the other is a snake in the grass. If you’re going based off the footage that was shown, Kesha said “I seriously had to just NOT go off…and honestly, like, I could’ve came at Tami and said whatever I wanted to but there’s nothing I could’ve said that would’ve made her look worse than she was making herself look…Tami is like acting a fool” …She never said she wanted to, so why are you asking her to now??? The smirking on the side by Evelyn and Shaunie is a DAMN SHAME. Grown as women talking about a damn position! Grown A$$ women wanting to fight with no repercussions!I HEARD about what happened in Tahiti but seeing it now is an embarrassment and the sh!t is PISSING ME OFF!!!! GROWN A$$ AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN feeding into the stereotype already placed on us…plus two!!!!!!!!
Check out the scene of Tami harassing Keisha in the clip below.

Like They Always Do At This Time: Another Woman Blasts Sexts From Dez Briscoe
Royce is in for a long, sad ride because she is now in the domino-effect period of the breakdown in her relationship with Dezmond Briscoe. Another woman has come forward with sexts from Dez and since they don’t have a child together, he wasn’t just sending her half-naked pics to get on her good side. He was trying to get on her insides.
A woman named Jordann blasted text messages from Dez over the past three months asking her for naked pictures and even telling her that he and Royce “talk” but they’re not together. I’m curious how he planned to explain being on “Basketball Wives” to his side pieces after Monday’s episode if he and Royce really weren’t together. Perhaps he thought he could get away with loving another woman on reality TV like fellow NFLer Adrian Wilson.
I hate to stereotype but since Dez is living up to it, I’ll go ahead and say how I feel about this situation. He is 22 and in the league; his behavior is disappointing but not surprising. Royce should be glad this came out now and not after the wedding because Christina and Jordann are probably not the last of the women who Dez has been sexting and maybe more.

Trouble In Reality TV Paradise: Royce’s BF Admits to Sexting Baby Mama
I guess my theory about Dezmond Briscoe’s baby mama just stirring up trouble was wrong. Well, she was stirring up trouble, but it wasn’t fabricated. In the same way the mother of his child outed the sexually suggestive texts he sent her on Twitter, two days later Dez owned up to them on the social networking site.
In a series of tweets he admitted to sending the texts to Christina Nero, although he claims it was just to get on her good side in dealing with their son and thoroughly denies acting on anything he said.
What’s interesting is that in showing support for Royce’s situation, fellow BBW cast member Kenya Bell aired a little secret when she tweeted earlier in the day, “I swear people make stuff up @roycelr is in love and is getting married now.” Nobody knew marriage was in the works and Royce confirmed it by responding that Kenya let the cat out of the bag. Now, not only are the marriage plans up in the air, the entire relationship is. Royce told people to view her boyfriend/potential ex-boyfriend’s Twitter feed to figure out what happened and tweeted:
Yes I feel stupid! Yes I feel betrayed! Yes I love @DezBriscoe89 but at this point I love myself more! I honestly don’t know wht I’m gonna do!
She also went on a mini rant about the situation that had people wondering why they were all putting their business out in the Twitter streets but Royce said her life is an open book and ish happens. Today she also penned an open letter to Dez and Christina about the drama on her VH1 blog which I’ll let you read at your leisure, but a point of note is that she said:
As far as the logistics go…”At the end of the day” (Jen voice) he will not be with her. So the rant she went on and my responses change nothing for her life. Not only do I look like a fool in love, but she looks like a bitter, jealous and angry “Baby Momma.”
This entire situation is a hot social media mess. Do you believe all this drama?
