The Richard Bey Show

Before there was the “Jerry Springer Show” we had Richard Bey. For nine seasons, “The Richard Bey Show,” (known in the early days as “9 Broadcast Plaza”) entertained its audience with raunchy, slapstick segments such as the “Miss Big Butt” contest, the “Mr. Puniverse” contest, “Dysfunctional Family Feud” and “Blacks who think O.J. is guilty vs. Whites who think he is innocent.” Despite its success and huge ratings, “The Richard Bey Show” was canceled in December 1996 after a nine-year run.

Mike Tyson took a trip down memory lane recently, revealing he was ”mad as hell” when he caught a then unknown Brad Pitt in bed with his ex-wife Robin Givens during their divorce in the late 80s.

In an interview on talk show “In Depth With Graham Bensinger,” Tyson said: ”I was mad as hell! I was going to … you should have seen his face when he saw me.”

Solange Knowles

It’s no secret that black films thrived in the late eighties and early nineties. So it’s no surprise that Boomerang came along when it did. Released in 1992, the film started off as Eddie Murphy’s brainchild. The movie was a hit, becoming the 18th highest grossing film of the year. By now, you’ve probably seen the movie, but we bet you don’t know some of the behind the scenes secrets. Well don’t worry sweetness, we’re going to share the knowledge.

Try as you might, you can’t always save your friends from making a bad mistake, especially when it comes to men.
