Send Your Prayers: Phaedra Parks Grandmother Passed Away
According to AlwaysAlist.com, Hazel L. Meadows, 95, grandmother of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks passed away Sunday, November 25th. The cause of death has not been revealed; however Phaedra is petitioning for prayers of fans and friends as she and her family prepare to lay her grandmother to rest.
“Please keep my family in your prayers during this difficult time,” Phaedra requested in a brief but exclusive statement released to AlwaysAlist.com.
Hazel was the mother of Phaedra’s mom, minister Regina Bell, who has appeared on the show several times over the years. While we all know from watching the show that Phaedra has been trying her hand at overseeing and arranging funerals, she will not be handling this one considering the death hit so close to home. Instead, the funeral home where Phaedra has been receiving mortuary training, The Willie A. Watkins Funeral Home, will be handling the overseeing the service. We can imagine how difficult this has to be for Phaedra. Since her debut on “Real Housewives of Atlanta” she has always appeared to be a pretty family oriented person with close relationships with her parents who are both ordained pastors who came out of the Church of God In Christ.
Experiencing the death of a loved one is certainly a hard pill to swallow during any time of year, but having to endure the pain of losing a loved one during the holiday season is considerably even more challenging as this is generally a time when families are coming together. We send our prayers and condolences to the mourning family and hope that they are able to find peace during this time of tragedy.

It’s a Legal Family Affair: Phaedra’s Mama Filed Her Own Million-Dollar Lawsuit Against Vibe
Phaedra and her mama might be one step away from breaking the bank over at Vibe. We told you Phaedra had filed a $30 million lawsuit against the company for publishing the story of Angela Stanton, a supposed old acquaintance of Phaedra’s whose written a tell-all seemingly airing out the pair’s dirty criminal laundry. But it seems there were some other stories in the book that got less attention but rubbed Phaedra’s mother, Regina Bell, the wrong way nonetheless and now she’s taking legal action too.
On top of claiming Phaedra used to flip cars and write fraudulent checks, Angela apparently accused Phaedra’s mother of “witch-doctory” and concocting potions to abort children. As ridiculous as that sounds, considering Mrs. Bell is a pastor I can see why she’s rushing to clear up these accusations. She’s reportedly demanding a retraction and $6 million in damages from Vibe, claiming that she is now publicly hated and has been ridiculed because of the book they published by Angela Stanton, Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil.
In the documents, Pastor Bell is said to claim to be a respected preacher who has ministered in her community for 33 years and certainly never created any potions or offered to help abort unborn children. A judge has yet to rule on the filing but I can only imagine how tight Vibe is holding it’s breath praying that the final decision will be in their favor. It’s probably not looking too good though on top of her daughter’s $30 million suit. When all is said and done, I think someone is going to have some new church hats for the pulpit. What do you think?
