Ahhh, reality television. What did we do without it? I personally can’t imagine my life without the ratchetness of Love & Hip Hop, The Housewives of Every City, Basketball Wives, The Braxtons and… well, you get the gist. Although reality television offers a very orchestrated look into the lives of “average” folks and celebrities, there are some lessons to be learned from the trials and tribulations of cast members. Here’s what I learned personally:
Blood Is Thicker Than Water Even Though Your Blood is Engaged in Foolery
Remember when Gloria Govan was on the Miami cast of Basketball Wives and was part of the first reunion? We don’t even know how she even made the cut considering executive producer Shaunie O’Neal couldn’t stand her butt. Gloria’s sister Laura slept with Shaq when he and Shaunie were still together. SMH.
When Shaunie confronted Gloria about her sister, Gloria refused to put any blame on her and wouldn’t even recognize having an affair as wrong. Wowe! I know you gotta have family’s back but I’m not sure if I would completely act like what my sibling was doing wasn’t questionable. But I guess when you’re shady yourself, you learn to put up a front 24/7.
