Lil Mo Has An Excellent Question For Keyshia Cole: ‘Who Is Your Publicist?’
The hoopla over Beyonce’s song “Bow Down” may be old news, but I don’t think the damage to Keyshia Cole’s career will ever be undone. Sure, worse things could — and have been — said, but after two months in a row of throwing shade at former Destiny’s Child members just about everybody is done with that child.
Enter Lil Mo who recently did an interview with Hip Hop Hollywood. Though the singer’s main focus was on her own affairs, like the upcoming season of “R&B Divas,” she did take some time to answer the site’s questions about Beyonce’s new track. Though Mo doesn’t have any problem whatsoever with the track, she does have a problem with its biggest critic, Keysh. During the Q&A, Lil Mo said:
“I saw on blogs where they wrote up about certain artists tweeting, talking about first you talk about women’s empowerment, now you talk abut bow down. But, (ahem), a couple of weeks ago you just said that was your queen and you dissed Michelle, now… (pause) you know? Why are you gonna put ‘em on the throne and get mad when they throw scraps to the peasants?
“Just sit down, get off Twitter. If you can’t handle it, keep your opinion to yourself. Who is your publicist, who is tweeting for you?”
I’m pretty sure those are the burning questions on everyone’s minds — although we already know the answer to that last one. Ain’t nobody tweeting that nonsense but Keyshia Cole Gibson from Oakland, California.

Beyonce’s Publicist/ The Illuminati Gets ‘Unflattering’ Super Bowl Pics Removed From Getty
We’re certain by now you’ve heard about the email Beyonce’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, sent to BuzzFeed earlier this week asking them to take down photos the Bey machine deemed unflattering, and in response BuzzFeed decided to highlight the seven pics in an entirely new post. Everyone, particularly the non-Beylievers, got a good laugh out of that, but Baddie Bey and Yvette got the last one because Getty has now taken down the images so that no one can even purchase them anymore and try to put Bey on blast again.
Gawker did a little investigative reporting and noticed five of the seven pics in question are now MIA from the image agency. The two that remain are the inner-thigh, almost crotch shot and another of her standard, “I’m about to pop my back so hard you’d think it was gonna go out” moves. And of course Gawker found some more images that one could say are equally unflattering — if you actually thought the others were — that are free of charge because, as they say, “that is how the Internet works.”
I guess we could say yay for Bey, but I think her and Yvette’s reaction to these pics has been about as over the top as her moves on stage, to say the least. I freak out if a busted picture of me pops up on Facebook but that’s because I don’t have 275,000 others to balance it out. I also get annoyed because it’s usually pic in which I was actually trying to look cute and the result was “try again.” Beyonce was dancing — to put it mildly — in these photos, i.e. getting it, and to be honest these shots capture just how hard she was going. She can’t possibly expect every capture to be a glamor shot pop, locking, and dropping it like that! And when I look at these pics I don’t think eww, I think, “Get it B!”
I know we’re supposed to believe King Bey’s superhuman and all but I want them to let the reigns go just a tad. You can’t be 120% manufactured perfection all the time. Besides, you’re now giving the likes of Kanye Westan excuse to demand Getty take down pics of him in his Givenchy skirt during the Hurricane Sandy relief all because Lord Jamar put out a diss track about him looking a mess. What you say? (Not to me) He is a Divvvvvaaaaaaaaa!
This is a trend I’m not trying to see more of.
Do you think Beyonce and her people are justified in having those pics removed or are they overreacting?

Amber Rose’s Publicist Tells the Real Reason Kanye Cut Her Loose
It may have been better if Amber never tried to “clear the air” about her relationship with Kanye because now she’s receiving even more backlash— in the form of her former publicist, Janero Marchand.
He went on a twitter rant last night after a blog ran a story saying he was fired for telling Kanye that Amber was stealing money from him and he basically confirmed the story, tweeting:
“Set the record straight. Yes, I introduced Amber Rose to Kanye West for the ‘Robocop’ video. She stole my 20% of her $100,000 for the video.
“Amber & her brother Antonio were going to Hawaii plotting & stealing money from Kanye. I didn’t want anything to do with it so YES I told Ye
“That is the real reason they broke up. I will speak more on it in my doc. The Michael Jordan of Models: This Is Janero drops in Feb. 2012.”
I know, the documentary part makes him sound a little suspicious, but he also pulled a page from the Amber Rose book, saying “I’ve silenced myself long enough and I’m just tired of Amber’s lies.” Then he included a twit pic of the email Amber sent to him after he put her on blast. There are lots of expletives but she basically calls him a snitch and says she will make sure no one ever works with him again.
I’m not sure if calling Janero a snitch qualifies as admission of guilt, but those gold digger rumors are sounding a little more true.
Do you believe Amber and her brother conned Ye out of money?

If you think you have what it takes, or could actually stomach working for Kanye West, here’s your chance.
Last night the rapper/fashion designer/inventor? announced plans to launch a design company named DONDA to develop products and services that “marry our wants and needs.”
“DONDA is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce their dreams and ideas,” he wrote.
“I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist, doctors, scientist, teachers.
“DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford,” he said. “We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel. To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need.”
Kanye’s passion for his new idea is undeniable and he’s also pretty proud of the company’s name.
“I’m so excited about the name…. it’s got the best name ever of all companies of all time!!!” he wrote. “The name of the company is DONDA.”
Just be warned. Kanye revealed the details of the new company amidst a three-hour twitter rant on missed opportunities, closed doors, and fronting his owm money to pursue his passions, so he’s still the same old Ye. Nevertheless it’s cool to see him thinking outside the box like this and honoring his mother’s memory at the same time. He also told anybody who wants in on the team to drop a line to contactDONDA@gmail.com.
What do you think about Kanye’s idea? Can he pull it off?

(Music Industry News Network) — What experiences have contributed to your skills as publicist?
Dealing with all different kinds of people from an early start in my career really helped. Knowing that everyone is different and to specifically address things to individuals is very important. Being able to research and know what I am talking about in order to best serve my clients is a major factor in my work. Also being able to communicate properly with my clients and to others about my clients is probably one of the most important pieces to the puzzle to doing my job. There is also an art to networking. My mentor, Quincy Taylor aka Big Heff, from Cleveland is one of the best networkers I have ever seen. Learning from him really was priceless.
