It was only just before the election that Barack Obama first heard “Gangnam Style.”

At the time, he noted tentatively: “I think I can do that move. But I’m not sure that the inauguration ball is the appropriate time to break that out.”

Two months later, he’s still reluctant to do the dance in public — but he’s apparently more than willing to do it at home.

“They’re cooler than I am,” the president says of his daughters in a new interview with People magazine. “There are things I like that they think are cheesy, like ‘Gangnam Style.’” He adds that he “absolutely” does the now-internationally-famous “gallop” to embarrass his kids.

Obama has already expressed his appreciation of the mega-viral hit in person, according to an interview with Psy in The Hollywood Reporter. The South Korean singer explained: “He told me he’s good at ‘Gangnam Style’ but that the ladies at his house are embarrassed when he’s dancing so he’s not doing it.”

From BlackVoices

President Barack Obama celebrated Thanksgiving quietly at the White House with his family, friends and some White House staff members after phoning 10 members of the U.S. armed services in Afghanistan.

Obama, as has been his practice during previous holidays, reached out to service members from the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps and Navy.

“The president thanked each of them for their service and sacrifice and wished them and their families a happy Thanksgiving,” the White House said.

The president was joining first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters, Sasha and Malia, later Thursday for dinner, where they were to be joined by White House staff members and guests.

The first family joined the millions of families across the world who celebrated Easter Sunday by attending church. Yesterday the Obamas walked across Lafeyette Square to attend services at St. John’s Church, a block from the White House.

The first lady kept it classy with a slick bun, a Thakoon dress and a cropped black cardigan.

Sasha and Malia, who are growing up quite quickly, looked equally beautiful in their dresses and cardigans.

On Wednesday, April 4,  Michelle Obama kicked off Military Child month by swinging by the Walter Reed Fisher House. She brought Easter candies, decorated Easter cards and gave away tickets to the White House Easter egg roll.

Getting a high five from the first lady. How awesome is that?

Hugs for the kiddies!

The Obama family dog, Bo, even took part in the festivities. Too cute!

We love the Obama family, don’t we? Who can resist Michelle O’s style and the sweetness of daughters Malia, 13, and Sasha,10. Since the two girls have grown and changed so much since the first family portrait taken in 2009, the White House thought it was time for an update. More and more, Sasha is looking like her dad although some say she more closely resembles her mother. What do you think? Who resembles who?

Here’s a flashback to the first family photo in 2009. My, have the children grown!
