If there’s anything more frowned upon than a sore loser, it’s a sore winner. And these days, it appears that Beyoncé and Rihanna are drinking the same crunk juice. For the past couple of weeks Bey has made headlines over her controversial and seemingly arrogantly composed track, “Bow Down.” Now her Roc Nation cohort Rihanna has somewhat followed suit. Rihanna was recently named Britain’s most influential pop star by U.K. channel, 4Music‘s Pop Powerlist. The “Diamonds” singer’s influence was analyzed by studying social media activity, press coverage and airplay, reports Contact Music. Interesting enough, Rih Rih trumped both Beyoncé who came in at number two and Katy Perry who snagged the number four spot.

“Rihanna is crowned queen of the The Pop Powerlist 2013, rising from her impressive 3rd place last year. Rihanna topped several categories, with her huge commercial success, combining with a very strong engagement value. Dominance in the fan value standings lead to a substantial assets and RiRi easily tops the rankings for product endorsements – with multiple advert appearances, perfume ranges, clothing ranges, and as the ambassador for a drinks company. Rihanna also achieved strong success in both singles and album sales, with multiple singles and albums populating the UK Top10. This also ensured she was one of the most played UK artists this year. Rihanna’s engagement was also very impressive, helped by worldwide interest in her fashion linewhich debuted at London Fashion week in 2013. Rihanna has not yet amassed the net worth of some of the longer established superstars of the music industry such as Madonna, but with her fan value riding high, this good girl gone bad looks set to be scaling the heights of The Pop Powerlist for many years to come,” wrote 4Music, announcing Rih Rih as the number one influencer.

When Rih Rih learned of her newly earned bragging rights, she took to her Instagram page with a screenshot of Contact Music’s article reporting on her new title, along with a caption that read:

What seems to have garnered the most attention about Rih Rih’s post was the apparent shade that she was dishing out to the other artists that she trumped on the list. It’s easy to assume that her post was in reference to her pal Katy Perry or Beyoncé, but realistically speaking, she could have been talking about anyone (or everyone), as she also beat out Adele, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Diddy and 41 others.

While there’s nothing wrong with a little gloating, humility goes a long way in the public eye.

Well it looks like Lil’ Wayne has a new passion- skateboarding that’s luring him away from his rap career. The Young Money star who has put out nine popular studio albums and numerous mixtapes is ready to take a break from the rap game despite being one of the most popular rappers of the moment. Surprisingly, the reality star has decided to whip off her wig, revealing her natural hair on her new spinoff show, “Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding.”  With her decision to not use any hair enhancers, she has boosted ratings, caused much media buzz, and got us wondering who else should whip off their wigs and help us solve the mystery of what lies beneath.
