‘They Said It About Oprah and Gayle:’ Johnny Gill Sort of Addresses Gay Rumors and Eddie Murphy Relationship
If you’ve been around for a little while, you’ve probably heard those vintage rumors, which imply that New Edition singer Johnny Gill is on the downlow and his longtime “bromance” with actor and comedian Eddie Murphy is really a romance. For years whispers have alleged that Gill and Murphy have been carrying on a secret relationship disguised as a friendship. During a recent interview with OMG Insider, the 46-year-old singer addressed the speculations. Check out what he had to say.
On gay rumors:
“Let me make sure we’re clear on something, whether it’s being called gay, accused of being a thief, if somebody is lying on you and saying something about you that is not true, it just doesn’t feel good. It doesn’t feel good.”
On rumors that he and Eddie Murphy are more than friends:
“They said it about Oprah and Gayle. They’ve said it about Will and Duane Martin. So I guess we fit in that group because we’ve always been tight. Eddie could care less about it. Anyone that knows Eddie knows that Eddie lives Eddie’s life and he’ll look at you straight up and go ‘Hey, keep messing with me and I’ll hit you with my wallet and knock ya out.’”
While we don’t know Johnny’s sexual preference, we will say that something about his response to the rumors seems a bit strange. During his appearance on TV One’s Unsung, he also briefly touched on the rumors, stating that he believed they would go away, but they only got worse.
“I thought: it’s going to go away. It didn’t happen. As a matter of fact, the more you tried to ignore it, the harder it was becoming,” he said.

Where You Been!? Check Out What Another Bad Creation Looks Like As Adults

After posting our morning jam today of “Iesha,” a co-worker and I couldn’t help but ask where the hell Another Bad Creation actually is. They entered the scene from 1988 and dropped their popular tracks “Iesha” and “Playground” in 1990 and ’91. They dropped two albums and had a slew of young female fans, but they wound up going their separate ways in ’94. Romell “RoRo” Chapman, Chris Sellers, David Shelton, brothers Demetrius and Marliss Pugh, and unofficial member Adrian “G.A.” (General Austin) Witcher may talk from time to time nowadays, and they even tried to put out a DVD about their group’s time together, but musically, Another Bad Creation is unfortunately another defunct group from the ’90s. But what are they looking like now?

“Iesha, Iesha So Glad To Meetcha!” MN Morning Jam: “Iesha” By Another Bad Creation

Seriously, where have they been?
Another Bad Creation, put together by Michael Bivins of New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe, were supposed to be the ’90s version of what New Edition was in the ’80s. Granted, they were totally different ages when they came on the scene (ABC looked like they came out of somebody’s 1st and 2nd grade classes somewhere), and the tracks made by ABC weren’t the same caliber of classic as New Edition’s, but like their predecessors, all the little girls loved them. And with their bucket hats and spray painted overall fits, they definitely had that ’90s style we miss ’round these parts. “Iesha” is probably their most beloved jam (next to “Playground”) and it’s definitely one of our favorites. Enjoy!
Gone Too Soon: Natina Reed of Blaque Killed in Car Accident
**UPDATE AS OF 10/27/12 at 5pm: Gwinnett County police have confirmed that Natina was killed in a car accident. However, they state she was NOT killed by a hit-and-run driver. While some details remain sketchy and will emerge later, police say the driver actually called them and waited until they arrived. At this time, they also do not expect to file any charges. **
————————————
Although no official police or news reports have been released, the sad news out of Georgia is that Natina Reed was killed Friday night in a car accident. While details are unclear, we are hearing that she was hit while crossing the street in Lawrenceville, GA, on her way back to her house from the store at the gas station. She was 32 years old.
Former group member Brandi tweeted, “Last night the world was changed forever, life will never be the same…she was my sister.”
Natina was often compared to Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes for formed the group years before she passed, also in a car accident. Natina’s spunk and wild clothing choices often resembled that of Left Eye.
She is survived by her 10 year old son, Tren Brown, who she shared with rapper, Kurupt (they were also engaged at one point). Natina would have been 33 years old on Sunday.
Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the family and friends of Natina as they go through this difficult and unexpected time.
We will update as we receive further information.

Diary Presents Brandy: Special Delivery: Brandy Norwood & Robert “Big Bert” Smith

usmagazine.com
The Grammy Award winning songstress, Brandy Norwood began her entertainment career as a 14-year old on the short-lived sitcom, “Thea” in 1993. Since, the actress/singer/dancer launched a successful singing career, which is where she has garnered the bulk of her success. While working on her third studio album, Full Moon, with Dark Child producer and composer Robert Smith, she became romantically involved with him, and eventually pregnant. In lieu of the pregnancy, the pop star and her “husband” decided to televise their love and home life on MTV’s Diary Presents Brandy: Special Delivery, where she documented the final months of pregnancy and birth of her daughter Sy’rai. Not long afterward, the two announced their separation, and later came clean about NEVER having been married in the first place. The nuptials were staged to help Brandy preserve her public image.

Bobby Brown just had the best weekend ever. While in Honolulu, the singer not only performed with New Edition for a concert and celebrated Father’s Day, he also made things official with his girlfriend/fiancée, Alicia Etheredge, and jumped the broom.
Close friends and family surrounded the couple during their nuptials, including Bobby’s older kids Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19. Bobby and Alicia’s son Cassius, who’s 3, served as the ring bearer and four young flower girls were also a part of the ceremony.
It was 43-year-old Bobby’s prerogative to wear a red suit and Adidas, matching his son, while Alicia was traditional in a destination wedding style white dress.
During an interview in 2011, Bobby told PEOPLE that Alicia had given him a new lease on life after divorcing Whitney Houston.
“I got my passion back for music and for loving myself because of her,” he said.
In 2010 he proposed to his girlfriend/manager in front of a sold out New Edition crowd In Jacksonville, FL, and now the couple’s relationship has come full circle with them getting hitched just 24 hours after a New Edition show in Hawaii.
Now, the pair says it’s back to business. For now, they have no honeymoon plans, but they’ll continue to travel on the New Edition tour which kicks off again June 23 in Oakland, CA.
As many news outlets had reported prior to the couple’s wedding, Bobbi Kristina did not in fact attend her father’s ceremony, with many sources saying their relationship is strained at the moment. Hopefully it will be on the mend soon.

Shall We Save The Date? Bobby Brown’s Getting Hitched Next Month
After a two-year engagement, Bobby Brown decided to finally go beyond putting a ring on it and actually set a date for his wedding to fiancée Alicia Etheridge, and the day is approaching pretty quickly.
According to TMZ, on June 15, Bobby and Alicia will go ahead and do the dang thang while in Hawaii for New Edition’s Honolulu concert. The 43-year-old has been engaged to Alicia since May 2010 and they already have one child together. Bobby is said to be flying out some of his family and friends to celebrate the couple’s big day which coincides with a pretty big weekend between show rehearsals, nuptials, concerts, father’s day, and the paparazzi. We’re sure these two will figure out a way to make it work. They’ve waited long enough to become husband and wife and there’s no time like the present.
