“Sorry Ladies, But You Got To Get Back”: Naya Rivera Stands With Mary J Blige, Doesn’t Want Husband To Have Female Friends
We told you yesterday that Mary J. Blige said, in her marriage, she and Kendu Isaacs don’t do the whole friends of the opposite sex thing. As she told Stella Magazine, in a marriage, it’s not a good look:
“All females for me, all guys for him. There’s none of that, ‘Oh, that’s my female friend. Oh, that’s my guy friend.’ No, not in a marriage, I’ve never seen that work.”
While sitting in as guest co-host on “The View” this week, Naya Rivera was asked her thoughts on Blige’s statements now that she is married to husband Ryan Dorsey, and she actually agreed, saying that by having friends of the opposite sex, you might take your issues to them, instead of hashing them all out with your partner:
“I think that’s amazing. I’m with Mary. I just got married and I’m pretty sure I told my husband that like two days ago.”
When the audience clapped, she was surprised.
“I really didn’t think I would get support on that, thank you so much. It’s really not so much a rule as I understand it, because I feel like you’re playing with fire and opening up the floodgates here, and you’re having issues in your marriage, but someone is going to talk to the opposite sex to get advice or whatever and you should be talking to your partner. So I don’t believe in it.
I feel like there’s a difference between having an issue with that when you’re married and when you’re just dating someone. I feel like when you’re married, if you’re now someone’s wife, I’m sorry, ladies, but you got to get back a little bit more. It’s different.”
Rivera also briefly spoke on that lashing she took from people, including Jonathan Cheban, for criticizing Kim Kardashian’s Paper magazine cover. After Whoopi Goldberg showed all the parodies of Kardashian’s magazine cover, Rivera pointed out that she obviously wasn’t the only person who had something to say about the controversial cover:
“People kind of really cared a lot…I do want to point out that was Miley Cyrus making fun of that. I didn’t know if I was the only person who had anything to say about this.”
But back to the matter at hand, what are thinking of Rivera’s statements about having friends of the opposite sex outside of marriage? As I said before, I’m all for keeping the friends you made before and during your years dating, but I don’t see the point in trying to create new friendships with men and women of the opposite sex once you’re married. But no friends of the opposite sex at all, even from the past? I don’t know about all that…
Kim Kardashian’s Bestie Shades The Hell Out Of Naya Rivera Following Paper Mag Diss: “Naya Has Always Been A Step Behind”
Update 4:53 p.m.: Kim has not responded to Naya’s scolding, but her best friend Jonathan Cheban has. In a blog post titled, “We Don’t F-ck With You,” Jonathan called Naya out for her alleged obsession with Kim. His entry reads:
“Naya has always been a step BEHIND… And this time she has seriously fallen BEHIND like Daylight Savings Time! After a year-long tour of impersonating Kim, she decided to come out of her shell and make a real statement about Kim’s Paper cover (which has to be one of the hottest, if not the hottest cover all year).
As expected, she’s getting some press and when all else fails, use Kim. I’m personally disgusted that after badgering Kim all year and trying to hang out and do business together, she goes and tries to make a statement like this.
Yes, Kim is a mother, BUT WHO CARES… have you ever heard of a MILF?! The world wants to see her all day like 1010 Wins. Paper is one of the artsiest magazines and has a legendary reputation for being creative and edgy. Who the f*ck is Naya to throw in her meaningless comments??”
In addition to likening the “Glee” actress to the lead character in Single White Female, Jonathan also shared several side-by-side photos, which he believes proves that Naya is trying her hardest to be Kim.
You can check out his full response here.
Yesterday evening while you were probably unwinding and preparing for the work day ahead, Kim Kardashian and Paper Magazine were conspiring to “break the internet.” At approximately 8:00 p.m., the publication decided to unveil the cover of their Winter 2014 issue, which features a nude pin-up girl-style photo of Mrs. West. Kim also excitedly took to social media to share the cover images with fans.

Naturally, reactions to the risqué cover were mixed, but a lot of folks were not here for it—including Kim’s alleged wannabe, Naya Rivera.
“I normally don’t. But…you’re someone’s mother…” Naya commented beneath Kim’s bare-booty photo.
Paper magazine also caught a bit of backlash for publishing the racy photo.

So what do you think of the cover? Are you surprised that Kim is still out here flaunting her naked tail or are you used to it by now?

Not only has Big Sean released a song not so subtly titled “I Don’t Fu*k With You” to let the world know that he doesn’t mess with a certain someone anymore, he’s also released an official photo editor.
— Big Sean (@BigSean) October 9, 2014
The photo editor allows you to upload a photo of you and the person you no longer mess with, and blur their face out. It also stamps the photo with the hashtag #IDFWU. The images are collected into a gallery and it seems like people are having a lot of fun with it. Maybe it’s someone you don’t like, something you don’t eat, something you won’t wear. You can digitally let the world know that uh uh, you don’t f with with.
Since the song’s release there’s been strong speculation that Sean is venting about his former fiancee Naya Rivera. The song has taken off online with over five million plays on Soundcloud and providing the sound in many in popular viral Vine videos. The hashtag #IDFWU might just be working its way up to #YOLO status.

Shortly after announcing that he signed a management deal with Roc Nation, the 26-year-old released an angry break-up song featuring E40 titled, “I Don’t F*ck With You.” In the song’s chorus he chants, “I don’t f*ck with you / You lil’ stupid a** b*tch I ain’t f*cking with you.”
At one point in the song he also says:
“I saw you got a new man I see you taking the pic / I see you post it up thinking that it’s making me sick / I see you calling up Imma answer that sh*t like ‘I don’t f*ck with you'”
Naturally, folks (including us) are assuming that Naya, who just got married recently, is the target of his rage.
“And every day I wake up celebrating sh*t—why? / ‘Cause I just dodged a bullet from a crazy b*tch.”
And of course, there’s a reference to his “new chick,” which some believe is a nod to his rumored girlfriend, Ariana Gramde. In addition to this really vulgar track, Sean also released three other tracks titled, “Jit/Juke,” “4th Quarter,” and “Paradise.”
Anyway, check out the song for yourself below. Thoughts?
When I tell you that the backstage cameras for the MTV VMAs are everything…seriously, they reveal so much.
I was still cheesing from seeing Jay Z carrying Blue Ivy through the back, but then my eyes definitely popped for a moment when I spotted Ariana Grande moving along, geeked up, hand-in-hand with Big Sean. There were rumors that the two might be getting cozy, but I didn’t believe it. So they collaborated on a few songs together (“Right There” and the new track, “Best Mistake”), what’s the big deal? But the way they were smiling at one another backstage, I’ve become a believer.
After Usher took the stage, Grande, in her embellished strapless dress and thigh-high boots, was seen backstage, hugging up with the rapper before they walked off with one another, hand-in-hand. In no time flat gifs have been made and “Ariana Grande & Big Sean” were just trending on Twitter with folks chiming in on where their “relationship” will go:
“Lawd somebody save that girl lol!!”
And if you’re wondering whether or not Grande is even legal, as comedian Jay Pharoah cleared up, the “Problem” singer is 21…don’t let the high cheerleader ponytail and baby voice fool you.
Whatever is going on with these two, they seem like a cute pair, but what do you think? You know what to do–talk about it below.
We’ve heard of rebound relationships before, but rebound marriages? That’s something new. Last April, we told you that Big Sean ended his engagement to “Glee” actress Naya Rivera. Apparently she didn’t waste too much time grieving over what could’ve been because she’s already married to someone else.
Her new husband is actor Ryan Dorsey and the duo tied the knot last weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife,” the newlyweds told People. “Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.”
“True love always prevails.”
The couple exchanged vows in front of a small group of friends and relatives. They met four years ago in Los Angeles; however, according to reports, their romance didn’t “blossom” until shortly after Naya’s engagement to Big Sean ended last Spring. For the ceremony, Naya wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and her hubby wore a Dolce & Gabbana suit. The 27-year-old also took to Instagram with a photo of herself horseback riding with her new love . Bizarrely, she captioned the image:
It’s difficult to grasp Naya marrying someone else just three months after her engagement to Big Sean ended. But to each his (or her) own I guess.

Update 3:30 pm ET: According to representatives on behalf of Naya Rivera, the “Glee” actress has not been dropped by Columbia Records.
“The newest story claiming that Naya Rivera was dropped from her recording contract with Columbia Records is absolutely false,” Naya’s rep tells Madame Noire. “To be clear, any rumors or statements made as fact, that Naya Rivera was fired or let go from ‘Glee’ or dropped from her recording contract, are categorically false. Someone obviously has an agenda to damage Naya’s good name”
Unfortunately, it looks like there’s more bad news for Naya Rivera. It has been confirmed that the “Glee” actress was dropped from her label at Columbia Records, Billboard reports.
The 27-year-old singer signed with Columbia back in 2011, but did not release a full-length album with them. She did, however, release a single titled “Sorry,” which was dedicated to then-boyfriend, Big Sean’s ex-girlfriends. The news comes on the heels of conflicting reports that Naya has been fired from “Glee” due to tension with co-star Lea Michelle and Fox producers. Though her reps have denied firing reports, Naya’s future with the popular television show still remains uncertain.
This has been a rather eventful time for the actress, whose wedding to rapper Big Sean was recently called off. Reasons for the former couple’s split ranges from infidelity to insane jealousy; however, nothing has been officially confirmed.
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off,” Sean’s rep told Us Weekly last month. “The recent rumors and accusations reported by so-called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
While Naya’s diss track to Sean’s exes has made her unpopular with many, you can’t help but feel sorry that she has to deal with all of this bad news at once.
Last week Fox production sources came forward claiming that Naya Rivera had been let go from the popular musical sitcom. According to the insider, Naya had a huge argument with producers, which resulted in her termination.
“She went off,” a source said of the on-set confrontation. “But it had nothing to do with Lea.”
“One costar would not have any power in whether another returns to the show,” the production insider went on to say regarding rumors that Naya was let go due to her rumored beef with co-star Lea Michelle.
A representative on behalf of the actress and singer recently spoke with RumorFix and insisted that the firing rumors are false.
“Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story.”
The rep did not, however, confirm whether or not Naya will be returning for season six. While we’d like to believe that these are all just bad rumors, in many cases, where there is smoke, there is fire. But apparently we’ll have to wait until “Glee” returns for the sixth and final season to see whether or not Naya will be coming back.
Do you think you’d miss her on the show?
You’d have to have some pretty bad luck to lose your fiancé and your job all within a few weeks. And according to The New York Daily News, Naya Rivera has somehow managed to do just that.
As you may recall, earlier this month we told you that Naya’s ex-fiancé, rapper Big Sean, called off the wedding. While there are tons of different rumors floating around regarding what caused the couple to call off their six-month engagement, many of them point to jealousy and mistrust. And now, here’s another rumor: Fox production sources say that the 27-year-old singer has been fired from the cast of “Glee”.
The report comes a bit more than a week after rumors of a “major altercation” that reportedly occurred onset between Naya and co-star Lea Michelle. However, according to sources, outlets got one thing wrong: while there was an altercation, it actually occurred between Naya and the show’s producers. Lea had nothing to do with it.
“She went off,” a source said of the on-set confrontation. “But it had nothing to do with Lea.”
“One costar would not have any power in whether another returns to the show,” the production insider continued.
According to PopWrapped, Naya has been “written out” of the show’s season five finale.
Are you a “Glee” fan? Will you miss seeing Naya on the show?
In this week’s episode of Did Y’all See?, the MadameNoire editorial team discussed this week’s episode of “Scandal.” There was some discrepancy on whether the episode left us wanting more or wanting it to end. Either way, we argued whether or not Mellie should tell her secret and discussed Huck and Quinn’s steamy sex scene and the bomb threats.
And in celebrity news we talked about the Big Sean and Naya Rivera split. Some of us were surprised and others saw the writing on the wall. And what was up with Naya accusing him of stealing her Rolex?!
Lastly, this week Eva Marcille and Tiffney Cambridge both filed restraining orders against their boyfriends Kevin McCall and rapper The Game, respectively. We discuss the prevalence of domestic violence and whether or not we believe the accusation in the the video above. Take a look and be sure to sound off with your opinions on these stories in the comment section.
