“I’m always in the gym.”

That’s what TV personality Natalie Nunn said about her healthy obsession with toning up, building muscle and maintaining her weight loss of 42 pounds. But she also goes hard wherever she can. Whether she’s doing jump squats on stairs at the beach in Jamaica, teaming up with her husband, Jacob Payne, for a couple’s workout, or using her nephew as weight during sit-ups, as Nunn put it during our chat, “It’s all about the fit life right now.”

The 31-year-old, who was an athlete for years playing soccer at the University of Southern California, packed on the pounds after going through a major loss. In November 2014, she announced that she was expecting her first child, and by February of the next year, revealed that she had miscarried.

“When I had the miscarriage, I was at a place where I was very depressed,” Nunn said. “I was very sad. I didn’t really want to do anything, I just stayed in the house. I was just eating and staying home and I just kind of got depressed and lazy. Then I noticed I was about 42 pounds over my normal weight. I was like 187 pounds. I ended up going to Miami but paparazzi got pictures of me on the beach and it went everywhere. I was just really, really heavy. ”

Those pictures of Nunn on the beach, paparazzi zooming in on her backside, were a wake-up call for her. She decided to get back into the gym. But after feeling like she didn’t know how to spend her time wisely while in her facility, she enlisted her husband, a former football player, to put together a plan for her.

“I started going in the gym and found myself just fooling around in there, Nunn said. “I was all over the place and then not focusing on certain areas. So Jacob made this calendar for me. And for a whole year I was literally doing these workouts. But after the first 90 days, I lost 42 pounds. And people were seeing me do this transformation because I was on Snapchat and Instagram, and people were like, ‘What are you doing?’ and ‘What workouts are you doing?'”

After realizing that she didn’t have the time to respond to each and every inquiry, Nunn and Payne eventually came to the conclusion that they needed to make what initially started out as a simple fitness plan for her into “something big.” That’s where the No Payne No Gain 90-Day Challenge came from.

“We made it available for everybody this year,” Nunn said. “If you give yourself the three months and do the whole 90 days, you will drop the weight like I did. We made the manual, we made the training, went into detail on exactly what I ate. What calories I stayed within every day. Exactly which workouts I did. We made it for everyone and I kid you not, half of my day every day is this, getting everybody’s posters in the mail and out to them. We’ve probably had 5,000 people do this program with us.”

It’s a 12-week meal and workout strategy available for $19.99. And based on the images of participants before and after, it works pretty well. Many of the people can be seen on Nunn’s Instagram page, proud of the hard work they’ve done and the results they’re finally seeing, results they say are changing their life for the better. Nunn can absolutely relate to the positive changes that occur internally and externally from living a healthier lifestyle.

“I have so much more energy, which has resulted in getting more work done,” Nunn said. “I make more money. All because I’m up and at it every day with full energy, a glow, no negativity. It’s crazy. Fitness and health is no joke. It affects everything you’re trying to do.”

So what are some the moves and machines Nunn swears by to get in and stay in shape? Well, aside from tricking her body by switching her workout times from the mornings to the evenings and back (“I started feeling like it was a routine”), Nunn shared these tips:

Fall In Love With The Stairmaster

“I think the Stairmaster is key for everyone’s life,” Nunn said. “I will tell people to literally get on the Stairmaster for five minutes and then do that for a week. Week two, get on a Stairmaster for 10 minutes. Play with it. One day do five minutes. Take Tuesday off, Wednesday do 10 minutes. Take Thursday off and then on Friday do 15 minutes and be done with that for the week. The Stairmaster works your legs, your butt, your waistline, and through cardio, you’re losing weight all around.”

Don’t Get Too Attached To The Treadmill And The Treadmill Only

“I’m not a fan of the treadmill,” she said. “I will do the treadmill but I feel like it’s just to shred weight and you end up losing your butt. But if you get on the Stairmaster and you’re lifting your knees and lifting your legs, that’s lifting everything up. You’re toning that area and at the same time, your arms are getting a workout.”

Mix It Up

“Squats, and then duck walks,” Nunn recommends. They’re how she keeps her backside perky (aside from the Stairmaster), but they also work her core. She finds a way to get her lower body work in no matter where she is. “Sometimes when I’m in hotels I’ll do squat jumps and then leg lifts for abs.”

Know That You Don’t Have To Feel Obligated To Work Out In The Gym

“You don’t have to go to the gym to workout,” Nunn said. “You don’t have to have a gym membership. Some people don’t want to go to the gym. You can do workouts at home. There are a lot of moms who follow me. I do a lot of workouts with my nephew, and I’ll literally do sit-ups with him as my weight on my legs. I know people don’t have a schedule that’s not flexible and don’t want to spend two hours in the gym. I know there are people who don’t want to work on this or that. My 90-day challenge goes into detail about all of that stuff. You can do these workouts anywhere.”

Mommy Issues: Natalie Nunn On The Ups And Downs Of Being Raised By A Young Single Mom

Most of what you’ve been able to see and learn about Natalie Nunn has come through her time on reality TV, and it’s been very bad. Bad Girls Club that is. After making a name for herself on Season 4 of the show, we’ve known her for being a firecracker who runs L.A. But there’s more to Nunn’s story that she recently shared while appearing as one of the stars on the Lifetime program The Mother/Daughter Experiment, which she did alongside her mother Karen Nunn. We learned that the two have had a volatile relationship that stems all the way back to her childhood. Karen had Natalie when she was young (she had her son, Ronald, when she was 18, and Natalie when she was 21), and Natalie described their relationship growing up as “complicated,” mostly because she looked at Karen as more of a friend than an authority figure.

“Growing up, where I’m from, a lot of my friend’s moms when we were in middle school or high school, they were like 60,” Natalie said. “My mom’s still not even 60 and I’m already 30. At one point, when I was younger, my mom was like the hot mom in school. So she was cool, and that coolness I sometimes got confused with being more of my friend rather than, ‘Oh that’s my mom, I shouldn’t talk to her like that.'”

She continued, ” I just always came at my mom like, ‘Oh, she’s the homie.’ Or I’d call her by her first name just to mess with her. And some people would be like, ‘Oh my God, that’s so disrespectful.’ and I’m like, ‘Oh Karen? She’s cool. She’s not trippin’.’ It was originally a fun mother-daughter relationship. But I guess when I got into middle school and high school, it turned into an ‘Oh, that’s so disrespectful, you can’t talk to your mother like that’ kind of thing.”

Natalie said that while making major moves playing soccer for USC, she often stayed with teammates and friends. When she came into contact with their families, she realized that her own was completely different. More and more she would be told that her relationship with her mom was unconventional, but not necessarily in a good way. That’s when things got a bit more complicated.

“My best friend whom I was roommates with when I played soccer in college, her family was a very traditional Italian family,” Natalie said, “and even though she was cool and we were best friends, I noticed she would never say certain things to her mom. But my mom would call and ask, ‘How was last night?’ and I’d be like, ‘Aw man, I had the best sex in the world! Let me tell you!’ And my friend would be like, ‘I can’t believe you talk to your mom like that!’ So it opened my eyes to realize that one, my mom and I have a really cool relationship where we’re really open with each other, but at the same time, she’s my mom and some things need to be completely separate.

She also realized as she got older that she and her mother are very much alike. And that was something that often led Karen and Natalie to bump heads in a very big, loud way.

“She was always on her toes, ready to fight back and argue with me and let me know who was boss, so it was always a back and forth thing. My mom was a single mom so it wasn’t like I really had a dad there to be like, ‘Why are you talking to your mom like that?’ or anyone to step in. So it was kind of like, ‘What are you gonna do about it?'”

But what Natalie also realized was that despite their complex relationship, her mother was always her biggest supporter. From this day to all the way back when she was receiving hell from her many White classmates growing up for being biracial.

“The areas I grew up in were predominately White and the kids would just always have something to say about my skin,” Natalie said. “When I would come home and ask my mom why I can’t take my hair out of my braids and wear them down, she would let me. She’d be like, ‘You want to go to school with all your hair out? Go ahead!’ She would stand up for me, because I was always in a community where I stood out.”

And it’s these realizations that pushed Natalie and her mother to try and work on their relationship by appearing on The Mother/Daughter Experiment. After doing therapy together with Dr. Debbie Magids, she learned how to finally quell that well-known temper of hers–at least with Karen.

“Dr. Debbie gave me an hourglass and told me, before you react to things, and when mom gets me upset or gets on me, I need to take a minute to respond,” Natalie said. “Before I would just lash out. Now I wait. I’ll hold my tongue with her before I respond. Because between her and I, if I say something to her that she doesn’t like because she just said something to me that I don’t like, it’s going to be a problem. We’re two firecrackers and alpha females with a mouth. So it’s not like she got a daughter who’s the complete opposite of her. Me, I’m very demanding and just like my mom. And if you put us in a room together in the past, it was going to pop off.”

In the end, the two have grown closer, and Natalie has been able to fully understand and appreciate the sacrifices that her mother made for her and her brother. It’s that drive, that love, and that openness that Natalie hopes to provide in the same way to her own children someday.

“A mother is someone who you should always be able to go to for advice. Someone who you look up to. I look up to my mom,” Natalie said. “I think she’s a very strong woman. She raised my brother and I alone. She’s the type of mom I want to be. Obviously, we’re different people, but there are certain traits that my mom has that I want to have for my kids someday. I want my kids to feel like I’m always going to be there for them and have their back. We didn’t have money when I was growing up, we weren’t rich. My mom worked two jobs for most of her life. So that hard work ethic that she’s always shown for me and my brother–I mean, we are her main priorities and we’re grown. She took my grandma in for eight, nine years as she suffered with dementia. She stopped her entire life to be at home with my grandmother and take care of her. She’s a simple woman. And yeah, I’m in Hollywood, I’ve been on TV, but honestly, that simple, loyal, ride-or-die type of mom and person is what I want to be for my kids.”

“There Were Complications” Natalie Nunn Confirms She Lost Her Baby

Natalie Nunn Confirms She Lost Her Baby

Source: Instagram

It was just a few short months ago that we were sharing the good news that “Bad Girls Club” alum Natalie Nunn and her husband Jacob Payne were expecting a child. There were few details but back in November, Nunn was more than three months pregnant and told Life & Style that both she and her husband were excited to become parents to either a mini Natalie or mini Jacob.

Sadly, Nunn confirmed in a recent interview with Oxygen that she and her husband lost the child.

Here’s what she had to say.

Oxygen: A lot of fans are wondering, are you pregnant?

Not currently. There were some complications with my first pregnancy.

Months after Nunn made the announcement, there were several photos of her in the gym losing weight. And her Instagram and Twitter followers began to wonder what was happening and even if she faked the pregnancy as a means to get attention.

Nunn says that wasn’t the case and explained, though she didn’t have to, why she waited to discuss this publicly.

I know a lot of fans were wondering about it, but I haven’t spoken about things because it’s been extremely hard. Hard times are best to share with family and loved ones when it’s new! I just want to respect my husband, and make sure that all the sad stuff that we went through is understood.

If you’ve never experienced a miscarriage it’s hard to imagine that type of loss and pain. But for those of you who have, it’s certainly not a topic that a lot of women are ready to talk about for some time afterward. I can’t imagine the pain of having to not only let family members know that you lost a child but also fans on social media. It’s quite a bit.

But in spite of the hardship, Nunn says both she and her husband have been dissuaded from trying for more children.

Yes, we are moving forward and doing things differently a second time. We are trying for a due date this year. This time, we’re hoping for twins!

Nunn also spoke about the type of mother she hopes to be.

I think I’ll be a really cool mom. We’ll probably take them to Jamaica in the summer, and Jacob and I are really into sports, so our kid will probably play sports. I’ll be the dopest, coolest soccer mom!

We’re really sorry to hear about this loss and hope she and her husband are blessed with a child in the near future.

Former “Bad Girls Club” star Natalie Nunn is pregnant with her first child with husband, Jacob Payne, Life & Style reports.

Apparently, she’s more than three months into her pregnancy and is extremely excited over the good news.

“Jacob and I couldn’t be happier,” Natalie gushed.

She’s also promising to change her bad girl ways for her baby.

“My life has completely changed since ‘Bad Girls Club.’ I found the most perfect, supportive, handsome husband, and now a soon-to-be mini-me or mini-Jacob!”

This is a pretty exciting time for Natalie and Jacob. As previously reported, the pair is scheduled to appear on the new season of WE TV’s “Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars.”

“Natalie Nunn and her husband, Jacob Payne, join the roster of couples that are working on their marriages! Forget the honeymoon stage – after marrying in 2012 on WE tv’s Bridezillas cheating allegations around Natalie and Jacob flooded the headlines of magazines, which WE think could lead them to the brink of divorce!” a WE TV press release announced.

Where Are They Now: The Black Women from “The Bad Girls Club” (Part 1)

On November 5th, 2012, Oxygen wrapped up the 9th season of “The Bad Girls Club” with a 3 part reunion.  While watching it I realized how far (or low, depending on your way of seeing things) this show has come.  In 2006, Oxygen premiered the very first season of “Bad Girls Club” and created a show that has simultaneously caused entertainment and controversy.  Some people have blamed the show for glorifying violence and teaching women and young girls that fighting is a solution to a problem.  But, however you look at it, it draws viewers in with each season.  Now that the show is about to go into its 10th season in Atlanta, why don’t we take a trip down memory lane and see where some of them have ended up?

SEASON ONE presented the show as a way of trying to help the ladies to fix their negative behaviors.

Ty Colliers

Season one was memorable for two things.  That Ripsi rampage, and that beach fight.  When the ladies went to the beach, and fellow bad girl Aimee refused to help carry the beach equipment to the car, this created a thorn in Ty’s side.  Not being one to expect people to read her mind, she not only told Aimee how she felt, but she also served her a two piece with a biscuit, causing her to be ejected from the house.

According to, in 2008 she was… hustling in the world’s first profession.  But as Phaedra Parks would say:  “Every saint has a past and sinner has a future,” so no judgment!  She graduated college and was working on a memoir entitled “Love Me or Hate Me.”  She’s a mother now, and it seems she puts her daughter first instead of indulging in current bad girl shenanigans, so good deal.

Natalie Nunn ‘Brutally Beats’ BGC Castmate With Foreign Object

**Update: Oxygen issued the following statement about the incident: While filming last weekend for “Tanisha Gets Married” there was an explosive verbal argument between former “Bad Girls Club” cast members, Natalie Nunn and Flo. The two engaged in a heated exchange with each other while celebrating Tanisha’s bachelorette party in Atlantic City, NJ.  No punches were thrown.  There is a great deal of tension between these two women and this will play out on the air when TGM airs sometime next year.**

The year-long twitter beef between “Bad Girls Club” castmates Natalie Nunn and Florina “Flo” Kaja came to physical blows this weekend while the women were in Atlantic City attending BGC member Tanisha Thomas’s Bachelorette Party.

According to MediaTakeOut, Natalie and Flo got into a heated fight which resulted in Natalie “brutally beating” Flo and then cutting her face with a foreign object. An MTO insider claims that Flo was “leaking everywhere” following the fight, and had to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher.

This altercation is certainly not just a typical “Bad Girls Club” cat fight. Natalie could find herself in legal trouble for her effort to get revenge on Flo, who beat her up during the reunion for the season 4 series.  There’s no word yet, though, on whether police have been involved or the status of Flo’s condition. This is just sad. When will these girls grow up?
