Just Call Him Nick Cannon, The Enforcer: Entertainer Says He Is The Disciplinarian At Home
While Mariah might end up being the fun parent, Nick will be running around making sure they don’t get out of line.
Cannon recently told US Weekly that when it comes to the twins, Moroccan and Monroe, he is making sure he puts his foot down. Knowing the “terrible twos” are upon him, he jokingly said:
“I got my belt out already. It’s ready!”
The twins will turn two years old on April 30th and Nick says he is, without a doubt, the tougher parent. That shouldn’t come as much of a surprise because although Mariah is notorious for being an ultimate shade thrower toward adults, she’s always had a very soft spot when it comes to children.
Cannon also openly admitted to a double standard when it comes to his son and daughter, just like most dads.
“Oh, no, my son can date at, like, 3 if he wants, but my daughter, never.”
You’ve got to love the protective dad, right? But seriously, Nick has always comes across as the more serious parent. If you recall, when the Cannons spoke to Barbara Walters in 2011, Nick was adamant about wanting the kids to get an education while Mariah said she wouldn’t mind at all if they wanted to be entertainers.
Somehow, I see Nick shelling out a spanking or two if Roe gets beside herself or Roc wants to “buck up” to his parents.

Mariah Carey and her sister Alison have only spoken once since 1994 but the estranged sibling of one of the best voices in the industry wants to change all that now, namely so she can meet her niece and nephew, Roc and Roe. She told the NY Post:
“I want to reach out to my sister and tell her how much I miss her and how proud I am that we are family.
“We may be apart now, and it has been many years since we last spoke. But to me, despite all the bad times and the arguments, she will always be my baby sister.”
There have been a lot of stories about why the sisters are estranged, particularly because they live drastically different lives. Alison is reportedly an adult escort who has been busted for prostitution twice and who advertises her business in the Long Island edition of backpage.com. The mother of four is also said to be HIV-positive and has had multiple stints in rehab paid for by Mariah, although she insists she is reduced to prostitution because her family refuses to help her financially.
It’s not hard to see why Mariah might distance herself and likely her twins Moroccan and Monroe who turned a year old last month, but Alison insists her only motivation to reconnect with Mariah is to congratulate her sister and her brother-in-law.
“I am sure Mariah is going to be a fantastic mother and her husband Nick Cannon, who I’ve heard nothing but good things about, will be a great father.”
I wonder if Mariah checks on her nieces and nephews at all. I can’t imagine what their lives must be like. Do you think Mariah should reunite with Alison after all this time?

Because I know you can’t get enough of #dembabies, and Nick and Mariah know you can’t either, we’ve got more photos from the twins’ huge April 30 birthday party in Paris! In them, you can see the cutie pies (who are getting so big by the way) playing with their new toys (including a play Ferrari car) and getting adorable with mom and dad as they turn the big 1. They look so much like Mariah, it’s crazy! And by the look of those toys, those kids are going to be spoiled (but that’s not a bad thing in my book!). Check out the belated cuteness below:

In other baby news…or make that kid news, Tallulah Dash (the daughter of Rachel Roy and Damon Dash) turned four recently. In true child-of-a-fashionista fashion, she was decked out with chick jewelry, and both a fab princess cake and balloons. To commemorate her turning four, after tweeting a pic of her big girl, Rachel Roy said, “Today she is 4 ☺! May she grow up to be happy compassionate and wise… ♥ you babygirl…xxRR” Check out the little big girl in all her birthday glory:

The Kids Are All Right: Nick & Mariah Share New Pics of Roc & Roe
What kind of childhood would a kid have without their own website? A pretty horrible one by Hollywood standards. Little Monroe and Morrocan Cannon have one (Dembabies.com), and on it, mom and dad shared some new pics of the growing twins and their happy family. In the first photo, mom and dad are chilling in their convertible (with the “M” for Mariah on the seats…and her signature butterfly) while the kiddies sit (and stand) in their laps. They’re getting so big!

Nick Cannon has always been a jack of many trades but he’s bringing his wife Mariah Carey in on his latest venture as the couple dabbles with creating an animated series. Nick told MTV News:
“We actually got some stuff in development that we’re working on, some animated stuff that her and I are putting together. So you’ll definitely see her in that space too. It’s just something that we both enjoy, and even more so than that, we’re both kids at heart. So we love those types of stories and fantasy/fairytale type of stuff.”
Being new parents is also a big part of it. Nick was already hosting the family friendly competition “America’s Got Talent” and he’s also the executive producer of the upcoming Nickelodeon movie “Rags.” Though this is the man who once had a song out for the adults called “Gigolo,” he says most of what he does here on out will be programs geared towards his one-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
“I mean it’s one of those things where a lot of the stuff I’m going to be doing in the near future is going to be really family-driven just because of the fact being a father and wanting to be able to provide content for my kids,” he said. ”So it works out really good. It makes you proud when you can have some work that your kids can go see.”
He’s such a proud papa!

Afternoon Adorableness: Tia, Tamera & Baby Cree Plus Mariah and Monroe
Aaaahhh it’s so nice to see that a positive reality show is being picked up for a second season. Twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry-Hardrict and Housley, respectively, will partner with the Style network one more time for their self titled reality show. The two recently took promo photos for the show and baby Cree joined them for one of the shots. It’s amazing how big he’s gotten! I can see both his parents in his face but I think he looks more like his dad, Cory.

Mariah’s Beautiful Babies After a Problematic Pregnancy
They say anything worth having takes work. And that’s exactly what Mariah Carey had to put in to give birth to her beautiful twins, Moroccan and Monroe. (Who are now six months old.) During her pregnancy the diva suffered from gestational diabetes, had to be put on bed rest and preclampsia in the final weeks of her pregnancy.
