If you’re in NY/NJ, Atlanta or Los Angeles and had tickets to the Maxwell three city tour, you might want to go get your refund. Maxwell has canceled the tour.

According to Max’s representative, he now has vocal swelling and hemorrhaging which is forcing him to sit out the six night tour.  He’d planned to do all of his albums over the course of the two nights he’d be in each location.  The tickets only went on sale in April and now those who have purchased will have to look for a refund.  There are a plenty of disappointed fans as one social media fan mentioned she’d already had her date and outfit ready.

Maxwell, himself, is truly disappointed and said in the statement that canceling the tour “sucks.”  Further, he apologized to all who made an effort to try and see the show.  He said he’ll be touring later in the year when the second album in his trilogy, blackSUMMERS’night, is released.  Hopefully, the fans will really get the opportunity to see Max perform then because that album should have been out two years ago.

Doctors are urging Maxwell to rest and undergo treatment.  If you’ll recall Fantasia and Adele had the same vocal injury and had to sit out a few months before testing their vocals again.
