Ratchet News: Drug Smugglers Mold Cocaine Into Fake Manolo Blahniks
I always say drug dealers are just intelligent people — who are misguided. A few cocaine bosses in Spain just proved me right once again after they smuggled cocaine from Colombia to Spain in the form of fake Manolo Blahniks. This worked for years.
According to the New York Post, the operation was run by a Colombian man and his wife, who molded paste-like cocaine into the shape of shoes “carefully sculpted to look like the high-heeled, luxury women’s footwear” and placed a Manolo Blahnik label on it. When the fake shoes arrived in Spain, several men would be in charge of returning the paste to its original white powder form and distributing the drugs.
The Telegraph said each coked-up heel had a street value of 50,000 euros a pair, or about $69,000. I don’t even know how people come up with these ideas but they certainly get points for creativity.
I wonder if the shoes were cute.

8 Recent Fashion Trends That Shouldn’t Make a Comeback
Although we try our hardest, even the best of us can fall under the spell of an overwhelming fashion fad from time to time. Could be that we don’t want catch on to a good thing late, or we’re just genuinely intrigued by a startling new trend and wonder how they’ll fare on us. Nerd glasses, I’ve got ‘em. A Miami Vice blazer with rolled up sleeves and old-school shoulder pads? Check. Remember those colorful Livestrong bands from a while back? I now avoid a bag full of over 20 that at one point cost me $5 for a pair. Yeah, some trends can leave us in the poor house, looking back at old photos in shame and with bags of useless garb. But as we know, some trends won’t stay down for good, and there are many that should. They were a mess when they started, and an even hotter mess when they left, and with enough prevention we can keep these regrettable crazes from popping up again to haunt us.
