Real friends are difficult to come by—especially for us regular folk— so I can’t even imagine what it’s like for those who are constantly in the spotlight. During a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada expressed her desire for sincere, solid friendships.

“The only one that I’m friends with is Shaunie [O’Neal]. I may talk to Suzie [Ketcham] from time to time. I don’t tell her any secrets or anything like that,” Evelyn said of her BBW co-stars.

After forming silly inner circles filled with women who she probably wouldn’t even trust to watch her dog, Ev says that she’s ready for real friends.

“I’m just at a point in my life where I just really want real friends.”

“I don’t want the fake, part-time friends. I’m too grown for that.”

She went on to further discuss her relationship with the show’s executive producer, Shaunie O’Neal.

“I was the first one that Shaunie asked to be on the show. We were really good friends before this entire thing happened, not knowing that it was going to become something big.

I’ve given up hope on Evelyn ever reconciling with her former BFF and co-star Jennifer Williams, but something deep down inside would still love to see them iron out their differences. Although it appears that the damage that has been done to their friendship is irreversible, they did appear to have a legit bond at some point.

MN Exclusive: Things Joe Budden Has Learned About Love From Women

When Joe Budden says the way he loves is a gift and a curse we believe him. From just two episodes of “Love & Hip-Hop” we can see the New Jersey rapper has a big heart, unfortunately it often seems to get lost underneath that hot head of his, and his seeming inability to take responsibility for the pain he causes others — particularly the ladies in his life.

Well, MN sat down with “Joey” to see what all of his lazy attitude toward love is about, and though it’s clear he’s not quite yet the man you would probably want to take home to your mama. He’s getting there by acknowledging the things he’s learned about love from women over the years. Check out this interview and see what he had to say about his approach to a happy relationship. Thoughts?

I Always Wanted To Ask…Why Are White People So Hell Bent On Using The N-Word?

January 15th, 2013 - By madamenoire

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Black people debate over the n-word all the time and though there’s mixed opinion as to whether we have the right to use the word and should use it, one thing that’s unanimous is that white people should not use the word under any circumstances. Unfortunately, a lot of non-black people seem to have missed that memo. Consequently, they try to sneak in the word any chance they get, whether in a greeting, a rap song, or on the news. We can’t for the life of us understand white people’s fascination with using the n-word; so, we brought it up to the ladies of The Frisky to get their take on this phenomenon and fess up to whether they’ve used the word themselves and think they should be able to.

Check out the episode and weigh in below.

Check out the chat we had with him after our NSFW game of Charades when we asked him how he feels about getting all sorts of metrosexual love, and more importantly why he’s surprised by it. Ol’ boy’s been sleeping on himself!
