Sometimes how you get with a person is how you lose them. After being the “other person” in the relationship, these sidepieces turned main chicks found out what it felt like to be cheated on.
If “Love & Hip-Hop” is nothing else, the reality show is beyond messy. In season four we were introduced to former rapper Peter Gunz and his artist Amina Buddafly. The chemistry between the two was obvious and it was clear Gunz was dipping out on his longtime girlfriend and mother of his two sons, Tara Wallace. But we soon found out afterwards that Gunz and his artist were actually married. And when Tara found out about their union, her on-and-off relationship with the “Uptown Baby” rapper, which actually began when with her being the other woman, was over. Amina is currently pregnant with her manager’s baby.

Even though the fights may be behind Love and Hip Hop Atlanta’s high ratings, producers may have had enough. TMZ reports that the show’s producers have decided to increase the security during shoots to not only protect the cast against each other, but from civilians as well.
There will allegedly be one security guard for each cast mate and apparently they hit the ground running keeping cast members Lil’ Scrappy and new cast member, Erica Pinkett from killing each other earlier this week. Pinkett allegedly threw wine in the rapper’s face during an argument.
One cast member commented on security’s performance saying:
“That s*** gets ratchet and now the bodyguards shutting that s*** down.”
Well as viewers familiar with the show probably already know, security will have plenty to keep them busy. In February, a free for all erupted when the cast attended an opening of a restaurant. The fight was said to be started by a girlfriend of fan favorite Joseline Hernandez and resulted in Karlie Redd being knocked out and Momma Dee being hit in the face with a bottle.
In a previous season of the show Lil’ Scrappy put them paws on Stevie J. after word spread that he disrespected the mother of his child, Erica Dixon.
There was an altercation between singer, K. Michelle and rapper, Rasheeda at one point in which a candle gets thrown at Rasheeda before security shuts the catfight down.
It makes us wonder: Will Love & Hop Atlanta be the same without drama and trash talk escalating into cliffhanger altercations? Or will the show actually focus on finding some solutions and more compromise between the cast members? Either way, it appears with security in full force, cast members may have to find other ways of working out their problems that don’t involve bruised knuckles, bloodshed and battered weave.
Do you think the show will be better without all of the fighting?
At the start of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,” Lil’ Scrappy led viewers to believe that his ex-girlfriend, Diamond, abandoned him during a time that he needed her the most. However, according to Diamond, the reality star had been physically abusive to her during her relationship, which is what pushed her to leave.
“He was mentally abusive, physically abusive,” the former Crime Mob rapper recently told The Breakfast Club. “We fought, like you ain’t beatin’ my a**. Yeah, he got some issues. Some demons, he needs some help.”
“He has bad spending problems,” she continued. “I think you, you know, people go through phases. I think we’re better off as friends. I don’t want to try to continue to be in a relationship and we end up not liking each other; hating each other. I just want people to know we’re not together.”
Unsurprisingly, Diamond admits that she bumped heads with the two women who probably play the biggest roles in Scrappy’s life: his mother and his daughter’s mother, Erica. While there are rumors that Erica and Diamond got into a physical altercation at one point, Diamond says they never actually hit one another.
“Nah, we got into it before but we never fought.”
As for Momma Dee, the “Sisterhood of Hip Hop” star blames her for ruining her credit.
“I got his mother an apartment—that she trashed and messed up my credit at one point in time, terrorized. I co-signed for her a condo.”
Considering all that she has been through with Scrappy, Erica and Momma Dee, her addition to the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” cast would’ve made for extremely interesting TV. However, Diamond says she could tell from the beginning that appearing on the show wouldn’t be a good look.
“They was using our names for ratings. I had a meeting. I wanted to see what it was about, you know as a businesswoman. It wasn’t really going with the whole plan of my music career. I don’t think it was a good look for me. I wanted to focus on what I had going on in my life currently, they wanted to focus on what happened in the past.”
Contrary to popular belief, Diamond also revealed that she and Soulja Boy are no longer together.
“I’m single. We been broke up. Y’all need to catch up. Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell hang out together all the time. We do business together.”

You know how it goes with Erica and Lil Scrappy. One minute the “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” couple is on and the next they’re not. And since their split last season both of them have been in publicized relationships. But now…the two are simultaneously single. So of course folks are speculating that they might be getting back together. And recent pictures are adding fuel to that rumored fire.
Yesterday, Erica posted this picture of Scrappy and their daughter Emani asleep in bed with this caption.
Why they sleep though? #waittilltheyseethis @emanirichardson is really gonna be mad. #morning #familyandfriends #teamnosleep
Immediately, folks started rumors. A fake Erica Dixon posted this picture with the following caption on a fake Facebook page.
Erica was quick to get on Twitter and let folks know that she didn’t write that. But she did post the picture. After this one she posted pictures of she and Emani on vacation in Florida, so perhaps Scrappy joined them. If that is indeed the case, that would have been nice. Erica and Scrappy are often a hot mess together but you can tell they’re both invested in raising their child the right way and I respect that.
On another note, I know I may be in the minority here but I really like Scrappy and Erica together. It always seemed to me like a majority of their problems stemmed from Mama Dee’s meddling behind… Oh and the fact that he was probably cheating. Yeah, he’s been dead wrong. Sigh. Who knows. We’ll have to see how this all plays out.
Do you think there’s a chance that Erica and Scrappy would get back together? Do you like them together?
Emani Richardson, daughter of “Love & Hip Hop” Atlanta stars Darryl “Lil’ Scrappy” Richardson and Erica Dixon, turned nine today. But instead of basking in the glow of her fabulous birthday party, which was scheduled to take place yesterday evening, she’s forced to remember how her big celebration came to a screeching halt.
According to TMZ, Scrappy put a down payment for a small 2.5-hour celebration at a girls’ salon, which is located just outside of Atlanta. However, when he showed up to the venue with Erica and Emani 20 minutes late, he says the owners refused to let them in.
Of course shutting down a children’s party for such a simple matter seems a bit harsh, but Scrappy says their tardiness had nothing to do with it. According to the “Love & Hip Hop” star, his family wasn’t granted admission into the venue because the owners and employees are “racist.” He went on to say that when he’d argued that he already made a down payment for the party, he was told by the people running the venue—who are white—that the establishment had no interest in serving “you people.”
Cops were later called to the scene because Scrappy refused to leave without a refund. Once they arrived, they were able to recover half of Scrappy’s down payment and the venue reportedly agreed to mail him the remaining balance.
Poor Emani. Hopefully Scrappy and Erica are able to throw another party for her.
Erica Dixon Speaks On Possibly Reuniting With Scrappy And “Going Across The Street,” Aka, Dating White Men
I know I can’t be the only one who really likes Erica Dixon out of all the out-of-order and confuzzled (how I say confused) cast of characters on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. She’s quite the beauty and seems most concerned about her role as a mother, and doesn’t take crap from anybody (including Lil Scrappy’s mother, Momma Dee). Since the show has been on break, Dixon has been on the low low. We knew that she was seeing a handsome male model named Oshea Russell, but according to the LHHATL star, they’re done. So is there a possibility that she could reconnect with Scrappy soon now that he’s done with Bambi (but not necessarily Shay)? In an interview with Big Tigger at V-103 in Atlanta, she didn’t sound too confident about all that, but in the end, she says never say never…
Big Tigger: “Rumor has it, you don’ left the old dude and you and Scrappy are back together and he left Bambi. What’s going on?”
Erica Dixon: “Erica Dixon is single [laughs]. Notice I said I am currently single. Yes. And I’m living, I’m working, focused on my daughter and focused on my [line of dresses]. That’s what Erica is doing right now. If something comes along, then okay.”
Tigger: “In your heart of hearts, do you ever see a path that might lead back down Lil Scrappy’s street.”
Dixon: “Well I’ve always been told you always look forward and move forward. You don’t go backwards. That’s what I’ve always been told.”
Tigger: “Do you believe in what you’ve been told?”
Dixon: “Yes, I definitely do. But at the same time people do change and evolve for the better, you know, so you never know what the future holds but currently I am single.”
Tigger: “You are single. Fellas pay attention.”
Dixon: “I like white boys too [laughs]”
Tigger: “You goin’ across the street!?”
Dixon: “Yes, I’m going across the street.”
Tigger: “How dare you cross the street! [laughs]“
I’ve never heard of the phrase, “cross the street.” The more you know…By the way, you should check out Dixon’s site for dresses, called Klass6. They’re a bit too bodycon-ish for my taste, but they’re not bad.
But anywho, do you think Erica and Scrappy should reunite?
This past Friday, a fatal shooting occurred outside of the Dan Foley Park Cultural Center in Vallejo, California, where “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Lil’ Scrappy was performing. According to CBS SF Bay Area, two women were injured during the shooting. When police arrived on the scene, both women were transported to a nearby hospital. One victim died from her wound, the other was treated and released. No further information about the deceased victim has been released, except that she was 34 years old. Investigators believe that neither of the victims were the intended targets in the shooting, and that they simply got caught in between the crossfire during a gun fight involving multiple shooters.
Scrappy’s team released a statement to Mara the Hip Hop Socialite regarding the shooting and vowed to assist with costs relating to the unfortunate event.
“It is disgusting what happened Friday night at the Dan Foley Park concert, wrote Chinga Chang Records CEO, Dan Herman. “On behalf of Lil Scrappy, we at Chinga Chang Records will be assisting with costs related to the shooting. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim who lost her life to such a senseless and heinous crime and hope for immediate justice to these terrorists,” he continued.
So far, no suspects have been apprehended. Motive for the tragic shooting remains a mystery as well. Our prayers go out to those affected by this senseless crime.
From The Grio
To take inspiration from Beyoncé‘s hit song, “If I Were a Boy” — if I were a man, I would be spitting mad about how my black maleness is being presented on the Love & Hip Hop franchises.
Seriously, week after week, and over the span of three years, six seasons and two series (with plans of expanding the franchise by two more series), we have watched black men routinely embarrass and flat out dishonor themselves by engaging in some the worse representation of black manhood to be witnessed on television.
And yet it is black men who have been the least likely to stand up and speak out against these unflattering caricatures of their collective image.
The proof speaks for itself
Think I’m exaggerating? Well, let’s take inventory of the “men” who have thus far graced the sleazy showcases of both the Love & Hip Hop New York City and Atlanta franchises. Here are their main stats:
- Peter Gunz: Living with the mother of his two children for over 13 year; has a history of infidelity; keeps his marriage a secret while continuing a live-in relationship with the mother of his kids.
- Lil Scrappy: A self-proclaimed mamma’s boy, with a long criminal rap sheet; did a stint in rehab for marijuana addiction in order to avoid jail time for failing to pass a drug test while out on probation; a womanizer, who regularly cheated on his fiance and mother of his son; had on-air violent fight with fellow Love & Hip Hop Atlanta cast member Stevie J.
- Stevie J: Nicknamed “Sleaze-O” for his inability to stop his womanizing and scheming on women; cheated on his long term girlfriend and mother of his daughter with an exotic dancer, whom he ended up getting pregnant and then goading into an abortion; once used money given to him by his fiance to buy the silence of his baby’s mother; proposed to both his fiance and mother of his children at the same time, which resulted in a huge fight.
- Consequence: Believes that “white is right,” yet even with his white woman has controlling issues to the point that he doesn’t allow his Christian white baby’s mom to attend family function of of respect to his own personal Islamic beliefs; is tight-fisted with money, but doesn’t want his partner to work; is notorious for having several on-air violent fights with fellow Love & Hip Hop NY cast member Joe Budden.
- Joe Budden: A womanizer; was accused of domestic abuse by two of his former cast members, including current girlfriend and co-star Tahiry; a drug addict; was involved in several physical altercations including with fellow cast member Consequence.

We know we’re not the only ones who saw Lil Scrappy and “Basketball Wives’” reality star Bambi together and thought, what the hell is this all about?
Ever since Erica and Scrappy called it quits, he’s been since prancing around the A with this new arm candy from a fellow VH1 show, prompting everyone to assume their relationship was just that — a show. But when we talked to Bambi before the BET Hip-Hop Awards last week, she told us that’s absolutely not the case.
“We’re together, we’ve been friends for a couple years,” she said. “When I first moved to Atlanta I met Scrap and we were friends and when his relationship ended ours started — whoever it was he was with, it was multiple people so when he was done with everybody he was dealing with, we started.”
About those multiple people…We’ve seen on “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta” how Scrappy likes to keep one lady by his side and another in his back pocket, which is why we don’t understand a woman getting involved with the ATL rapper and somehow expecting him to be all about them. But when we asked Bambi whether she’s worried about Scrappy cheating on her like he did his exes, she said she’s not worried at all because “she knows him well.”
So you think.

You Can’t Fire The Prince Of The South! Scrappy Slams Claims That He’s Been Replaced By Waka Flocka On LHHATL
Industry whispers have been indicating that rapper Waka Flocka and his fiancée, Tammy Rivera, are the latest couple to be added to the ever-changing cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Immediately following those reports, word also began circulating that Lil’ Scrappy had been axed from the show and Waka— whose real name is Juaquin Malphurs— is actually being brought in to replace him. While the thought of Mona cutting Scrappy from the show around the same time both he and his on-again, off-again boo, Erica Dixon, began new relationships seemed like a bit of a long shot, stranger things have happened. Scrappy recently stopped by 97.9 The Beat and addressed the rumors.
While he couldn’t confirm whether or not Waka, Deb and Tammy have been added to the cast, he did reveal that he will be a part of season three.
“Just to clear something up… just to put some real stuff in your ear, your boy finna be on TV again. I don’t know why they put bad rumors out like I ain’t gon’ be out there no more. I don’t know why they wanna see me in a bad predicament man,” he said.
“I don’t know if Waka gon’ be on there or not because they don’t tell us who gon’ be on there, but we will see,” he continued.
He also addressed recently being arrested for getting into a physical altercation at a gas station.
“Somebody I know just got real disrespectful and irritated the shizanyee out of me. I had to ask him like 50 times to calm down ‘cuz I’m on probation and I can’t be doing all of that. He said the wrong thing to me a couple of times. He looked at my lady friend I had with me and said something to her. I was like, ‘chill out,’ then he tried to you know, buck up on me.”
