Well, this was the moment all of the Beyoncé fans and stans had been waiting on for months. The moment when another full song would be released. It finally happened on Friday and now the question is, does it live up to the hype?
We gave you a short clip of Beyoncé’s “God Made You Beautiful” last month and from that sneak peek, many of you weren’t too impressed. But with the Life is But A Dream documentary set to be released in days, it seems her team decided it was okay to let the one new song featured on the dvd “leak” to the masses.
In “God Made You Beautiful,” Bey talks not only about the moment Blue was born, but also what life has been like and how she’s changed Beyoncé since being born”
You were bought into my life
I kiss those little feet and watch for your perfect smile
and when it comes the world stops in your eyes
I found love, I found peace of the purest kind
It is alleged that Bey wrote the song herself because, hey, who knows this particular experience better than her? The lyrics are nice and there are some nice harmonies, but overall, it seems like it’s missing that special “something.” Maybe it’s just me.
As a matter of fact, who cares what I think! The bigger question is to you…pass or play?
There’s That New Music You Wanted: Beyoncé Releases “God Made You Beautiful” On “Life Is But A Dream” DVD
We know what Beyoncé’s doing. She’s releasing all these singles trying to tide you over until she gets off tour and can put an actual album together. And though I’m sure some of you would appreciate a full body of work, her latest single, “God Made You Beautiful,” is quite nice. It’s, as you might assume, an inspirational, ballad type song that puts you in the mind of Halo. It’s soulful.
The DVD includes her comeback concert in Atlantic City and a download of the new song.
Check out a snippet of the song in a trailer for Life is But A Dream which is available for advance purchase on Amazon and will be in stores on November 25.
While people have been been giving Beyonce back-seat advice about overexposure, Mrs. Carter just keeps rolling — and promoting herself. And she proved the naysayers wrong. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she was the television ratings queen last week, with her documentary and Oprah Winfrey interview topping the ratings charts.
The two Beyonce TV specials pulled in big numbers for HBO and OWN. In fact, the singer’s documentary, Life Is But a Dream, is HBO’s most-watched documentary effort in nearly 10 years, reports THR. And her sit-down with Oprah had 1.3 million viewers earlier that same night.
Beyonce’s Life Is But a Dream pulled three times the ratings of recent first-runs for HBO’s Sunday series Girls. Over at OWN, the Beyonce episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter topped all of ad-supported cable’s non-sports programs in the targeted women 25-to-54 demographic for the time period.
Beyonce was the director and executive producer for the autobiographical television film. It was released on February 16th on HBO , in conjunction with Parkwood Entertainment, Knowles’ management company.
Did you watch both specials? And share your thoughts on this story: Is Beyonce a mogul?
Beyonce’s Siamese Twin Sister Tells All! Exclusive Keyonce Bowles Documentary: ‘Life Is But A Scream’
She’s baaaaaaaack. No longer willing to be outshined by her twin sister, Keyonce Bowles decided to debut a documentary of her own on the same night as her Siamese twin sister. While Bey may have just told the world “Life is But a Dream,” for Key, “Life is But a Scream.” See her exclusive Madame Noire documentary right here.
After months of waiting, Beyoncé’s documentary, Beyoncé: Life Is But A Dream, is finally premiering tonight on HBO. Oh, and Oprah threw the fans and stans an even bigger bone when she revealed last weekend that she would be interviewing Bey and it would also air tonight, an hour before the documentary. That’s pretty much Bey overload, right? Well, here’s the thing: because we know that “Beyoncé” is a brand and a bit of a machine, there have been some things that she’s managed to avoid talking about. But tonight, we want answers! Even if you aren’t a big fan, you’ve probably heard some things about her that have piqued your interest and you’d like to hear what she has to say too. So check out some of the things we’re hoping Bey addresses – if the interview and documentary are no holds barred.
That’s right, Baddie Bey isn’t the only one with a documentary debuting today. While HBO airs Beyonce Knowles’ “Life is But a Dream” special tonight, her Siamese twin sister, Keyonce Bowles, will be premiering her own documentary right here on Madamenoire.com: “Life Is But a Scream.”
In October, Keyonce came forward with her story of what it’s like to be the unknown sister of King Bey, now we uncover how her life has changed since she entered the spotlight. Watch the trailer for her special and check back for her documentary at 10:30 pm right here.
There is nothing like some bounce music to get you in the mood to shake something. So DJ Solange knew that’s what she needed to play at the after party for the premiere of Beyonce’s new documentary, “Life Is But A Dream.” The two did a little two step, Solange putting more back into it of course, behind the DJ booth. Loving the sister moment and the sway of Solange’s fro is giving me all the life.
And in case you’re like me and must know the name of that song, it’s “Get It Ready, Ready” by DJ Jubilee. Check it out.
Whether you’re a bee buzzing in the BeyHive, indifferent in your feelings about Beyoncé or feel she’s completely overrated, hopefully we would all have sympathy about a woman who has had to endure the tragedy of experiencing a miscarriage.
In her upcoming HBO documentary, Beyoncé opens up about the experience and what she did in order to cope with the loss. Check out the clip above to see what she had to say about the experience.
