Lark Voorhies Is Still In Denial: I Have No Worries And Neither Should You
Lark Voorhies is still trying to undo the damage she says People magazine did when they ran a report claiming that she suffers from Bipolar disorder. The “Saved By the Bell” actress just did an interview with ET and told the host contrary to recent rumors, she does not hear voices, she is not seeing a doctor, and she does not have a mental illness.
“I don’t understand why they chose to take that angle, quite frankly,” she said about People’s interview with her mother, Tricia. ”I can only come forward to correct and state for the true record what is in fact factual.
“I have no worries myself, nor do I exude, exhibit or possess within my living stratus any reason why someone should worry [on] my behalf. … It’s completely fictional.”
According to Lark’s mother, though, her 38-year-old daughter has been traumatized by things in her past and is in denial about the effect they’ve had on her. Lark, on the other hand, says she knows how to overcome adversity, much like what she’s dealing with now.
“It’s much like fighting,” she said. “When you enlist in the Army, you get yourself physically fit, mentally fit and informational-wise fit, so it’s just the same. It’s like stage boot camp. You know, you put all the right elements together and you keep them going … we have to be entertainers. This is our particular angle.”

Lisa Turtle Refutes Her Mama’s Claims: “I’m Not Bipolar”
We haven’t heard much from Lisa Turtle Lark Voorhies since her mother attributed her odd behavior during an interview with People magazine to bipolar disorder. But TMZ caught up with the child star outside of an L.A. restaurant, and asked her about her mother’s claim. Voorhies called it “comical.” Well…what’s not comical is that the video does not really prove Voorhies right. Maybe she doesn’t suffer from bipolar disorder but there’s something definitely going on. The lack of clarity from the actress is uncomfortable to watch to say the least. We hope everything’s okay with her but we also hope she’s getting help if she really needs it.
When Pretty Girls Wear The Wrong Make-Up! 10 Celebs Who Can’t Get Their Faces Right
I guess the saying is true…money can’t buy you everything. Well, at least when it comes to these celebs’ poor make-up choices! Either they need to spend the extra dollar or two on better make-up or someone needs to get fired! Let’s have a look at those women who have beautiful faces, but fall victim to bad make-up choices:

Tamar Braxton
Tamar Braxton is a good example of the reasoning that just because something exists, it doesn’t mean you should wear it. This woman is guilty of a little bit too much make-up. What’s up with the over the top blush and porcelain doll eye shadow? Well, just like those dolls, it makes her look a little too fake.
Come on girl, get it together!
Lark Voorhies’ Mom Says She’s Bipolar: “There Are Things That Have Traumatized Her”
Earlier this year, we caught a video of Lark Voorhies that made us wonder if everything was OK with her. We thought the problem was mostly physical, concerned with her ghostly skin appearance and wondering if she might have had some work done, while other outlets speculated she might be on drugs. Now People is reporting that the issue is far more serious. The magazine says the mother of the childhood actress most known for her role as Lisa Trutle on “Saved By The Bell,” has told them her daughter is battling bi-polar disorder.
In a series of interviews with PEOPLE, it was clear something wasn’t right. Voorhies, 38, would frequently stop mid-sentence and stare off, often mumbling to herself or to others who weren’t there.
“There are things that have traumatized her,” says Tricia, 64, who shares a home with her daughter in Pasadena, Calif. “I care deeply about my daughter and I want her to resume her life.”
Voorhies says her “over-loving” mother worries about her, but there’s no need. She says she is not sick and keeps busy by working on low-budget indie productions, recording music and self-publishing her own books.
But what about the vacant stares and rambling moments?
“I have a strong spiritual sense,” she says. “You caught me in moments of pray.”
I’m not sure if the use of the word pray is a typo on People’s part or illustrates some of Lark’s mental instability, but we’re definitely sad to hear this news. Bi-polar is definitely a manageable disease but from Lisa’s mother’s point of view the actress seems to be in denial about her disorder, which means she can’t get the help she needs. People has more on what caused Lark’s mental decline and the reaction from her “Saved By The Bell” castmates in this week’s issue. What do you think about her mother speaking out?

Lisa Turtle is A-OK…Kind Of, Sort Of

vh1.com
I’m not sure if I 100% believe it, but according to AllHipHop.com, there’s nothing wrong with Lark Voorhies’ face. Remember, the face that sent us into a tizzy a couple of weeks ago when the Saved By The Bell actress appeared in a video interview with Michael Yo?
The photo below was tweeted by her make-up artist on the set of her new film/production and AllHipHop.com asserts that her more normal appearance in this photo proves that her appearance was the result of a shoddy make up job. I beg to differ. Voorhies does look a lot better but there’s still something a little off. The fact of the matter is that Voorhies had other photos taken of her that mirrored that same ghostly face. Aside from the possibility of too much botox, skin lightening creams and horrible makeup, there is also the issue of a distorted self-perception. How else can Voorhies not have seen what America saw?

What do you think of this photo? Does she look GREAT or just relatively better?

Pretty Girl Gone Plastic: What Happened To Lisa Turtle?
by Marissa Ellis
It must’ve been really really hard for Michael Yo to ignore the elephant in the room as he was interviewing Lark Voorhies, one of the former teen stars of the hit 90s show Saved By The Bell. Voorhies played Lisa Turtle, the only black cast member of the lot which also boasted current stars Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen.
As you can see in the above video clip, there’s something really wrong with Voorhies’ face. She’s definitley had plastic surgery, which in the tradition of Lil Kim and LaToya Jackson, has made her look worse. It’s also obvious that she’s using bleaching cream or really light make-up, giving her a ghostly appearance.
As we all know, Black folks age better than the rest of the population but Voorhies is, by far, the oldest looking member of the SBTB cast.
The sad thing is that Voorhies was a beautiful girl, and would’ve probably remained so had she not touched her face. The former fiance of Martin Lawrence obviously suffers from a distorted perception of her self. At only 38 years old, Voorhies can pass for someone ten years older.
