Change your style, and change your perception. Umm, let’s just stare at those arms for a second. And done…  As one of the top scorers in the NBA, Carmelo Anthony is the NY Knicks’ most lethal weapon. But he’s has become an MVP off the court, thanks to his style evolution. Shot by Terry Richardson, the all-star covers the current issue of WSJ Magazine.  The spread features Melo sporty in sweats and a graphic tee, and in casual looks like a blazer and sports jackets.

Carmelo is just one of the athletes who have flexed style sensibilities. NBA’s new generation sits front row at Fashion Week, covers fashion magazines and prefers boutique style over the “Big & Tie” oversized suits of their predecessors. Stylist Khalilah Williams-Webb is a key factor in Melo’s sophisticated look. And we’re sure he picked up a few cues from his always  stylish better half, La La Anthony.

Joe, Taylor, John, Jake, Conor, Henry, and now Jayceon!? Hehe, just kidding. But then again, you never know with Taylor Swift, because she stays with a man on her arm.

According to Complex, Taylor Swift met up with the rapper, Game, at the gym as he continues on his 60 Days of Fitness workout mission. Rob Kardashian and even La La Anthony have all taken part in this challenge in the hopes of getting healthy with the rapper, and I guess it was Taylor’s turn this time around. But she sure is dressed up to get her fitness on. Nice jacket though!

Homegirl did a good job of taking the pic without getting too close (check the body language), probably because she heard that Tiffney Cambridge doesn’t play that (you saw that episode of “Married To The Game” with her snapping off about him and his assistant going to France right?), or maybe because she knows his penchant for spitting on folks. And in his gym wear, The Game cheesed it up for the cameras and chucked the deuces at the same time. Nice!

VH1 hasn’t totally given up on non-ratchet black women. The network has just renewed La La Anthony’s reality show, “La La’s Full Court Life” for a third season to debut in 2013, and of course the TV star is bringing all of her celebrity friends along with her.

According to a press release on VH1′s site:

With her life and career in full swing, La La works to balance motherhood, marriage and friendships with besties Po and Dice. But Mrs. Anthony is not finished with her quest to conquer the world.

“La La’s Full Court Life” picks up where last season left off, with La jet setting around the world and making major moves. After co-starring in this year’s box-office smash Think Like A Man and expanding her new makeup line Motives for La La, La’s life has never been busier. Viewers will watch La La visit Puerto Rico to support Carmelo’s annual Court 4 Kids charity event while getting the chance to meet her extended family. She’ll also fly across the pond to cheer her hubby on during the 2012 London Olympics, all while meeting with potential European agents, offer a sneak peek at her Motives for La La line in the UK, appearing on British TV, attending a British soiree, and taking a crash course in hobnobbing with London’s elite.

With Kiyan ready to start his first day of school, La is coming to terms with the fact that her baby is growing up. With the upcoming 2012 presidential election piquing her interest, La is determined to get involved and use her celebrity status to make a difference. With a little help from La’s famous friends keeping her grounded, including Ludacris, Trina, Ciara, Estelle and Charlamagne Tha God, this season promises a ride she won’t soon forget.

A lot of people have classified this show as a snooze (along with “Hollywood Exes”), because there’s not enough drama going on, but that just really suggests reality TV can’t be entertaining if someone isn’t being ridiculously aggressive and ig’nat—hence VH1′s current formula for shows. I happen to like Lala’s little show and watching her grind and spend quality time with Po and Dice and her other gal pals. I’ll definitely watch next season. Will you?

You know what time it is. It’s about to be the weekend, so we have to do a rewind on some of the most fun, eclectic and busted outfits of the week. Shall we begin?

While at Madison Square Garden to cheer on her man Melo, La La Anthony showed up in boy-meets-girl ensemble that was a mix of prints and textures. She wore a sheer Alexander Wang top (sweater actually) that mixed orange, black and white. On her feet were some snakeskin Louboutins, peeking underneath leather pants. While I think she might have been going for a casual but cool ensemble, this mixture of looks is…the most. I’ll pass, but if they were worn separately I’m sure it would be hot. No thanks though.

Girl, where have you been!? Singer Chrisette Michelle finally brought herself out of the house for a Petals-N-Belles Limitless event in NYC. She wore this body-hugging dress with snowflake-like designs and some intricately placed sequins. On her feet were some taupe peep-toe pumps with floral detailing at the front. She came to the event with her quilted purse, a few funky rings, and a fresh, close cut. Don’t forget the pink lip! The dress actually doesn’t bother me because it fits nicely, but the shoes don’t work with it. And with the pink lip…I don’t know, there’s a lot going on. I’ll take the dress, but pass on everything else. Unless that’s a Chanel bag of course!

Color them bad!

The weather is starting to look up (and also going through its usual mood swings), so it seems some of the big names are ditching dark colors, or mixing them with shades that pop! The following ladies definitely did, and now it’s time to figure out if we’re feeling their frocks, or if they’re freaking ridiculous. Let’s get to it!

As a super stylist, it’s June Ambrose’s job to make sure she looks fabulous. If not, that wouldn’t be good for her brand, right? Well, she surely didn’t disappoint in this long-sleeved dress while leaving a taping of the “Wendy Williams Show” in NYC.  The dress was this bright and bold yellow with a bleeding print screen (like when you mix milk with food coloring) all over. The dress was classy as it came over the knee, and she finished it off with these sickening taupe stilettos with an adorable bow and a big brown leather satchel. I like that the dress is gathered at the neck, and that she mixed up bright colors with naturals. And her hair is whipped! Steal it.
