Remember last week’s episode of “R&B Divas” when Keke Wyatt called Angie Stone an “old a** b****” and stormed away from the diva intervention going on between the “Brotha” singer and the rest of the cast? Well we got a chance to do a live Twitter chat with Keke after last night’s episode of the TV One reality show and one of the first questions we asked her was what is up with her beef with the singer. Luck for us, she did not hesitate to explain the real deal.

We’re not mad at that. Angie Stone definitely descended upon Keke, Syleena, Faith, Nicci, LaTocha, and Monifah in a mother hen, “I’ve been doing this longer than you — and way better might I add — so you have to listen to me” kind of way. But we did think it was a little funny how Keke didn’t want Angie coming at her like a child, but she always talks to her hubby, poor Michael Jamar, like he was born yesterday. We asked the 31-year-old singer about that too and she said she’s not as hard on her boo in real life as it seems on the show.

Check out what else we chatted with the craziest cast member of the “Divas” about on the next page — like why no one wants to do this “R&B Divas” tour and what’s up with her duet CD with Avant. Follow the whole stream on Twitter at #MNChats too.

Artists Who’ve Had A Few Ups And (Quite A Few) Downs In Their Careers Who Still Deserve To Win In The Long Run

It’s hard to stay relevant in the music industry. Every day there is a new face ready to drop their clothing and sing with auto-tune that can easily catch the attention of the masses and take it away from true talent. Nobody knows that more than these artists, who’ve had major highs in the industry, and quite a few lows as well. They’ve managed to bounce back and forth over the years, some finally getting positive shine, but their talents are so worthy, we just want to see them win in the long run. How about you?

Currently, Brandy is doing big things. She’s got a regular casting role as Chardonnay on The Game, recently put out a critically acclaimed album, Two Eleven, and she got engaged to music exec Ryan Press during the holidays late last year. But as we all know (and you can watch the Behind The Music) episode for further confirmation, things haven’t always been a winning situation for the singer. There was the fatal car accident, the fake marriage scandal, the reality show that didn’t paint her or her brother in the best light, and a fickle listening audience who stopped checking for her. Now that she’s regained a good amount of relevance, we’d love for her to keep it. B Rocka’s voice has always been one of our favorites!

KeKe Wyatt Expresses Gratitude In Open Letter About The Rewards And Challenges Of Raising Six Kids

If there’s one person who knows all about motherhood, it’s R&B Divas Atlanta star KeKe Wyatt. With six children, the 31-year-old, soul-singing Indianapolis native was the perfect candidate to gush about the joys of motherhood on Mother’s Day. In an open letter released to The YBF, Wyatt expressed how thankful she is to have been blessed with her kiddies. Her letter reads:

“I thank God every day for blessing me with the greatest gift of all, my children. Anyone who really knows Keke Wyatt will tell you the one thing that I do not play about are my children honey. Most of you only know me as an artist or from R&B Divas ATL, but before any of that; I am “mommy” first. I come from a history of large families. Mymother has 8 brothers and sisters and my father had 4 sisters; who in the world would ever think that I would have 6 of my own, Lord Jesus. Bean 13, Poopy 11, Makayla 9, Mimmi 4, Ke’mar 2, and Wyatt who will be 1 this month all have brought unspeakable joy to my life. Please don’t get it twisted I only have 2 baby daddies of whom I was and am married to now…BOOM! I know y’all thinking, “Dang Brady Bunch; no ma’am more like Wyatt-Ford Bunch.”…. lol

Sometimes I find it hard to put into words just how I feel about my children. No Shade but sometimes my kids do get on my nerves but they are my hun buns and they are the center of my life. As a mother, every holiday is a proud moment because I get to see the smiles on their faces. There are times I do feel a little guilt because my profession requires me to be on the road so much and miss quality time with my family. Thankfully my children know that mommy is always available to them even when I am not near them. Thank God for technology, because it allows me to stay in constant communication whether by skype, tango, or by phone. Once I return home I devote all of my time and energy to them. I truly thank God for my gift and the blessings that it has afforded me. Knowing and working in an industry that can be cruel and judgmental, my children provide just the amount of peace I need when times get really rough. Honey, I don’t know what I would do without my babies, every last one of them. I am honored to be able to wake up every day and hear my teeny weenys say, “Mommy”… OkaaaaaY!!!!

“And Suck 10 Bags of D**ks On Your Way Out” New Trailer For R&B Divas

Well, well well. There once was a time when Tv One’s “R&B Divas” was one of the more positive reality shows on television. But baayybe judging from this recently released trailer from the premiere episode it would seem that all of that positivity and sisterliness has fallen by the wayside.

In the first video we watch a discussion about the ladies touring together escalate to Syleena throwing Nicci Gilbert out of her house, telling her to suck ten bags of d!cks on her way out.

Lawd have mercy. She said all of this after she had just put down the cross. Smh.

Take a look and see how it all transpired below.

And then in another scene, Monifah confronts Nicci about the altercation asking her what’s her personal problem with Syleena.

From the looks of things, I can see why these women touring together might not necessarily be the best idea.

This is super messy; but I won’t lie, it only makes me want to check out the Season 2 premiere tomorrow night, May 1 on TV One at 10 pm ET.

Does Keke Know About This? ‘R&B Diva’s’ Husband Gets Spin-off Webseries

If we said the name Michael Ford to you, you probably wouldn’t know who we were talking about. But if we asked if you remember the man who was glued to Keke Wyatt’s hip during the entire first season of “R&B Divas” last year because the singer was afraid he would cheat, you’d know exactly who we were referring to. Interestingly, it seems Keke may have loosened her grip just a tad this second season because her husband — and manager — Michael Ford has been given a spin-off webseries on TVOne’s website: “The World According to Michael.”

Confused? Here’s a little explanation from the news release:

Often misunderstood and usually the target of many jokes, Michael Ford became last season’s “unofficial diva” due to his 24/7 attachment to his beloved wife Keke – and he wouldn’t have it any other way.  In The World According to Michael, Michael sheds light on his hectic yet joyful life with Keke and their six children, giving viewers an exclusive look into their beautiful Atlanta home….

Each of the webisodes will feature Michael in his day-to-day duties as he switches between his roles as dad, husband, manager and business owner. From making breakfast for his kids and rousing his less-than-early-riser wife, to squeezing in tee times on the golf course and interviewing interns for his expanding entertainment company, Michael is finally getting his moment to shine.

We’re sure shine is exactly what he’s looking for as it’s become common place for the husbands of several of reality TV’s most well-known women to become just as popular and well-known as their wives. I’m just surprised Keke said yes to this. We are talking about the same woman who said her husband couldn’t even go golfing because he might stumble upon some other woman to creep with. It will definitely be interesting to see just how much she’s involved with his thing — and if she’s loosened that cray cray grip up just enough to let the main breathe.

Like “R&B Divas,” “The World According to Michael” will air every Wednesday on tvone.tv. Check out a sneak peek of the first webisode up top. What do you think?

Keke Wyatt Says She Didn’t Want To Return To ‘R&B Divas’ Because She’s Sick Of The Drama

After a successful first season, the stars of TV One’s hit reality show R&B Divas are gearing up for the premiere of Season 2. The sophomore season promises new faces, great singing  and of course, more drama. During a recent interview with Cocoa Fab singer Keke Wyatt revealed that she didn’t really want to return for a second season because she’s so tired of all of the drama. Check out some of what she had to say below.

On being tired of drama between her co-stars:

“I wasn’t really going to come back at first because they was getting on my nerves fighting and carrying on, and I thought this show was supposed to be not all that crap. So they told me that it wasn’t going to be like that this season, which that was a lie, but whatever. I’m on there.”

On taking on the “voice of reason” role:

“I just felt like if I (was) quiet, I won’t have to pop nobody in the head. I just had to chill out. I love Nikki and I love Syleena, I love all of ‘em genuinely. It’s real for me, and I just don’t want to see family and friends fighting. It just don’t make no sense. Although they’re not physically fighting, verbally fighting is just as damn bad.”

On how the show has helped to re-launch her music career:
“I think so. I think that it’s a great platform to do what I’m trying to do, so my main mission in life is to reach people and what better to reach people through television and music?”
On when we can expect a new album:
“I’m actually almost done with it. It’s some new Keke Wyatt, it’s what I’ve always wanted to do from the very beginning of my career versus being told what to sing and how to sing it. I feel like this music is more relatable in other areas versus just the love, make-up, break-up and all that crap that I’ve been singing before, which  is fine — no shade to it — but the new stuff is more love because I love to love, love to love, love to love, period. I’m serious.”

Keke Wyatt Doesn’t Know If She’s Coming Back To R&B Divas: ‘Sometimes They’re B***hes’

Even though the YBF reported at the end of last month that Keke Wyatt would be coming back for the second season of R&B Divas, the diva herself is neglecting to confirm those rumors. In fact, in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister, she said:  “I don’t know if I want to do season 2.”

The singer didn’t quite explain her hesitation to return but she did say that she’d miss everybody if she turned down the next season:

“I love all of them like they’re family even though sometimes they’re b!tc#e$,” she said. “Every woman could be a b!tc# at times. It’s just a natural born thing. Tell me one woman you don’t know who could be a b!tc#.”

‘Tis true. We didn’t see too much b***hiness on the first season, although many viewers felt Keke, Syleena, and Nicci all had their moments. So far though, the story is that Nicci Gilbert won’t be returning for a second season and neither will Faith Evans, but Monifah and Syleena seem to be in, along with Sunshine Anderson and Angie Stone.

Regardless of her pending return, Keke said she knows the show will continue to be a success, just like it was in it’s premiere season.

“Everybody done sold a million or more records a piece. So, if all of our fans watch, we’re good,” she said. “I’m grateful that it did what it did ‘cause I am, but I’m not surprised ‘cause God is good.”

Would you miss Keke Wyatt if she didn’t come back to R&B Divas?

Pass Or Play? Avant and KeKe Wyatt Release Video For “You & I”

If you’re a fan of TV One’s “R&B Divas,” you probably got to see a behind the scenes look at Avant and KeKe recording this song, “You & I” together in the studio. Since then, this R&B ballad has been all over the grown and sexi radio stations and you’ve had a chance to decide if you love or loathe the entire version.

I’m personally glad to see the modern day Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell back at it again. I knew I was going to be a fan of this song just from the snippet of vocals we heard from KeKe on that episode. Like she said, if she can’t do anything else, she knows she can sing. (And that’s the truth Ruth.)

Check out the video below and let us know if you’re feeling the song and the visuals.

Lookey Lookey! Angie Stone And Sunshine Anderson Added To “R&B Divas”

We already knew R&B Divas was slated to get a mini-facelift after news hit that Brownstone singer Nicci Gilbert was given the axe. At the time, Kelly Price was rumored to be her replacement, but TV One has taken that option and one-upped it by adding not one but two new divas to the cast. According to the YBF, Angie Stone and Sunshine Anderson will now be joining the network’s latest reality hit.

So why two new ladies? Well according to the site’s sources, Nicci Gilbert isn’t the only diva bouncing on the show. Faith Evans, who appeared to be the glue holding the bunch together, is also reportedly walking away from the series. That leaves Syleena Johnson, KeKe Wyatt and Monifah who are all expected to return.

There’s no word on what may have prompted Faith to leave — or whether her decision was by choice — but since the ladies are probably the least drama-filled group on TV, aside from Hollywood Exes, it would be surprising if she was kicked off the show for problems or for being too boring. Maybe she just decided reality TV wasn’t for her. Plus it seemed Faith’s main focus was to release an album featuring the five singers and since that hasn’t happened, I’m sure she figured, what’s the point? Nicci, on the other hand, who had no desire to sing anyway, likely isn’t too broken up over that news I’m sure.

But back to Angie and Sunshine. These are two divas we definitely haven’t heard enough or seen enough of in recent years to I will be anxious to see what’s going on in their lives these days. And if Syleena, Keke, Monifah, and these two end up being the ones to actually put out an album together, I’m sure no fans would be mad at that.

Are you excited to see these two on the next season of R&B Divas?
