Chief Keef Threatens To ‘Slap The S**t’ Out Of Katy Perry On Twitter
I would add some sassiness to this post, but I don’t need my life threatened so I’m just going to go ahead and report the facts as is.
Yesterday, Katy Perry sent out what I’m sure she thought was just harmless societal commentary when she tweeted remarks about a disturbing song on the radio. Apparently, the song was titled “I hate being sober” and that didn’t sit too well with the pop rocker who kisses girls and likes it. She tweeted:
Just heard a new song on the radio called “I hate being sober” I now have serious doubt for the world.

Unbeknownst to Katy, that track happens to be a new song by notoriously vile Chicago teen rapper Chief Keef, and when he heard Katy had some negative things to say about his song, he demonstrated the violence that runs so rampant in his songs with a few threats online.
Although Katy Perry may not have been familiar with Keef’s latest song, she clearly must be familiar with his position as an unofficial murder suspect in the death of slain Chicago teen rapper Lil Jo Jo. When word of these threats came her way, Katy wasted no time backtracking on her criticisms and even sent some compliments toward the ruthless rapper’s way.
Mr. Keef! I’m sorry if I offended you. I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn’t even know it was you in particular. Actually… — Katy Perry (@katyperry) May 24, 2013
I’m a fan of your “Don’t Like” video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations desire to be constantly intoxicated.

Believe me, I’m a lover not a hater. x

Chief Keef retweeted Katy’s apologies, which I’m not sure is a sign of acceptance or a demonstration to show how he can put the fear of God in people. I’m just hoping his threats were harmless — and that he realizes it’s not the smartest move to suggest bodily harm to someone on a social media site when it will be retweeted nearly 10,000 times.
Make It Last! Celebrity Couples We Wanted To Work
Although they broke up and moved on with other people, we just can’t seem to get over these high-profile celebrity relationships that we thought were a match made in heaven. Here are 15 celebrity couples that we wish could have stood the test of time.
Kanye and Alexis
Before there was Kanye West and Kim Kardashian or even Kanye and Amber Rose, there was Kanye and Alexis. The Chicago rapper/producer met Alexis Phifer back in 2002 and the cute couple dated on and off for four years before West finally popped the question. After an 18-month whirlwind engagement the two went their separate ways citing his hectic touring schedule as the cause. West dated then-unknown model Amber Rose before settling down with the reality show superstar who is now pregnant with their first child.

Her new clothing line for River Island might not be a hit, but Rihanna’s music certainly is. RiRi has just logged the most No. 1 pop songs, according to Billboard, tallying her 10th chart topper. Rihanna has passed her BFF Katy Perry for the most number one hits in the chart’s 20-year history. The tenth number one is “Stay,” featuring Mikky Ekko, writes the magazine.
Previously, she was tied with Perry, who’s reached number one nine times since her 2008 arrival. Rihanna started on the path to breaking the record in 2006, when “SOS” reached the top. Her last number one was “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris, which stayed in first place for for eight weeks in late 2011/early 2012, marking her longest command of the position.
Also, ”Stay” is only the second piano-and-vocal-only number one of the 259 songs to have ruled the Pop Songs list. “Stay” knocked out Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man,” which was on top for three weeks.
Some of Rihanna’s record 10 pop song leaders include 2008′s “Take a Bow” (three weeks at top); ”Disturbia,” also that year and for the same length of time; ”Rude Boy” for two weeks in 2010; and ”S&M” for a week in 2011.

Did She Kill It? Katy Perry Covers “Let’s Stay Together” For Obama Campaign Fundraiser

Katy’s Twitter
If you weren’t aware by now, President Obama loves him some Al Green. “Let’s Stay Together” to be specific. I’m sure you remember the YouTube video shot at The Apollo Theater when the President broke out into the song while speaking for a fundraising event. But this time around, pop singer Katy Perry decided to show love to the Pres and one of his favorite songs by belting out the jam during his “30 Days To Victory” event. This isn’t the first time Katy has done an interesting cover, I’m sure you remember her take on “N***as in Paris.” Funny, when I told a co-worker that she sang “Let’s Stay Together,” said co-worker totally ignored my statement and said, “You mean Jennifer Hudson?” Hudson performed too, but she didn’t mess with Al Green.
But all in all, Katy didn’t do so bad. There were some bumps in the beginning (and some times where it seemed that she was trying too hard), but there were definitely some soulful moments as well. With her microphone shaped as Lady Liberty’s torch, and an extra pep in her step, she tried her best. So I’ll give her an A for effort and a C for execution. Either way, it’s all about raising that guap! And if you were wondering, the campaign fundraiser brought in over $5 million. But I’m pretty sure folks need to let Al sing his song from now on…check out the video and let us know if you’re feeling her rendition!
