But some couples just always want us to know about them so guess what? I’m hear to give them that shine!
Here are a few couples that continue to make sure they stay in the spotlight despite us sometimes wishing they’d just keep it behind the scenes!

I’m starting to get a very Batman and Robin feel from Jay-Z and Kanye—except no one is really the sidekick. AskMen.com just released its list of the Top 49 Men of 2011 and look who made the list: Hov and Yeezy. Together yet again.
Ye even beat out his mentor, claiming the number 5 spot thanks to his new clothing line debut, and the highly anticipated “Watch the Throne” album and tour with Jay, who ranked at a cool #15.
Check out the full list here. How do you think Jay-Z and Kanye compare to the competition? Is there anyone more appealing?

Why Weezy Is Leaving Jay and 'Ye in the Dust
(Forbes) — The numbers for Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV came in this morning, and they were staggering: 940,000 copies sold in the first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, placing the album firmly atop the Billboard 200 chart. Tha Carter IV was Lil Wayne’s third No. 1 debut; remarkably, its first-week sales total was more than twice that of Jay-Z and Kanye West’sWatch The Throne, which moved 436,000 units when it hit stores last month. So how did the diminutive Young Money/Cash Money star—who finished behind Jay-Z and Kanye on our annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings list—manage to outsell a pair of heavyweights? “I think just the hard work, all the years and everything we’ve been through as a unit,” says Cash Money Records chief Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who was deeply involved in the album’s production and promotion. “It’s our season, that’s just how it goes … [Wayne] is the best doing it, and everybody is just starting to see it. I don’t think any artist in the world is going to be as big as he’s going to be.”
Indie Stores Pissed at Jay-Z-Kanye Snub
(Entertainment Weekly) — The roll-out of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collab album Watch the Throne is threefold: On Aug. 8, both standard and deluxe versions hit iTunes digitally. Next comes the standard physical version (CD and albums), which gets to formal stores Aug. 12. Best Buy, however, will have the deluxe version exclusively. Then on Aug. 22 it’s out everywhere else. It’s the second and third part that has indie record store owners up in arms. Peeved that Best Buy will be the only place to buy the Throne CD, the Record Store Day folks sent an email out to their indie store brothers and sisters addressed to the rhymers.
Studs & Jezebels: How Sex Standards Hurt You
We’ve all heard this scenario: A guy sleeps with countless women and he’s a stud. A girl sleeps with two guys and she’s another four letter s-word. It’s one of the most common sexual double standards. And I’ve always had a HUGE problem with it- and not only because I’m a woman. It’s also because in my time as a doctor, I’ve witnessed the numerous psychological and physical damage that this double standard has on little girls and women who are unsuspecting victims of it. Double standards like this create issues of lowered self-esteem, negative body image, and even depression in women. It can also cause physical problems such as inability to obtain sexual arousal and even inability to obtain orgasm due to the psychological fear of being labeled a loose woman.
I recently read about a study at Pennsylvania State University that took a survey of students who entered college as virgins. Unsurprisingly, the study found that male virgins experienced a boost in self-esteem after losing their virginity, while female virgins experienced lowered self-esteem after losing their virginity. Why did this happen? Well it was determined that the major culprit was the sexual double standard in which men are crowned as studs and women are branded as much less when it comes to sex.
We see this double standard in everyday life, and even in way we perceive more prominent people. Take Jay-Z and Kanye West for example. I’ve heard countless people talk about how Jay-Z picked the “perfect wife,” while Kanye was smart to end his relationship with Amber Rose. When I asked people to explain why they felt this way, it basically boiled down to a belief that Jay-Z picked “a better woman.” To them (and many other people), Beyonce is very attractive, sexually desirable, but most importantly, she has an image of being “untainted.” But then on the flip side, many of these same people trash Amber Rose simply off the assumption that she’s possibly sleeping with multiple men. It doesn’t matter that Beyonce’s husband has openly and boastfully rapped about countless women that he has humped and dumped. Most people don’t bat an eye when it comes to his sexual rep. In fact, culturally his behavior is viewed as “normal” and even a validation of his manhood.
Is it fair? No. But many argue that such is life. It’s pretty obvious how women are unfairly targeted by sexual double standard, but others argue that even men are also victims of the same double standard. How? Well they claim that the mere “expectation” of men to have tons of sexual “conquests” in order to validate their manhood can also lead feelings of low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression if a man is not able to prove to his peers that he is indeed a “real man.” So is the sexual double standard really a double edge sword that actually hurts both men and women? What do you think of the whole men being crowned as studs while women are branded as jezebels when it comes to sex?

Top 10 Artists We’d Love to See Act
We have all found ourselves standing in line at the movie theaters to purchase a ticket for a film that stars a popular recording artist. In Hollywood, there is a fine line between actors and recording artists. Oftentimes ‘artists-turned-actors,’ and vice versa, create a major bang at the box office because spectators want to see if the music industry’s biggest names can translate their talent to the big screen. Many have tried and failed when stepping out of the recording studio and in front of the camera, but there are a few artists who we think are ready for their close-up. Check out the ‘Top 10 Artists that We ‘d Love to See Act’:
50 Best Moments in Black Television
50. En Vogue’s appearance on ‘A Different World’
For all the individualistic Internet we use these days, most of us grew up sharing communal moments with our families and friends in front of the television screen. And, when our hotties come over to spend some time, we’re more likely to cuddle in front of the T.V. set with them than in front of the computer (unless of course we’re cruising this site, then it’s totally OK!!!). For these reasons, we’ve decided to dedicate this week to the warm days of T.V. watching, when illegal cable wasn’t so illegal, and everybody wasn’t so anxious to punch silly things into the Blackberry every five seconds! From ‘Good Times’ to programs shown just yesterday, we present to you: our 50 best moments in black television!

For the Monsieur: G-Shock x Dee & Ricky Watch
Love hot-of-the-press, fresh fashion news? This is for you.
Casio revealed their G-Shock watch designed by trendy designers Dee and Ricky today. In limited edition only, the retro design mimic’s a toy watch, but this isn’t an accessory to play with. Like all of G-Shock’s watches it has world time, is magnetically resistant, water resistant, shock resistant, can do your laundry and take the kids to school (well..maybe not the last two features).
Not familiar with Dee and Ricky? The Staten Island-bred, twin brothers are the designers behind the Lego accessories hipsters were sporting last year. You may remember the Pixel Heart Pin Kanye West had in Heartbreaks and 808′s. Dimitrious and Ricky Jackson, 22, have gone on to design pieces for Marc by Marc Jacobs and expanded their work to belts.
The Dee and Ricky watch (GA100DR-1A) will retail in July for $130.
